They are all the same, if you have played any of the three you have played all of them. Sure Origins is probably "best" of them but still, it's the same boring task list type of game.

Imagine if everything was designed around long sequential story missions, and missions were accepted from a central hub, that also requires an internet connection for events...and the moment it doesn't detect that connection, all event progress is lost. Well, that's Valhalla. Ubisoft is starting to burn even the most loyal of fans.

I'd take Valhalla's upgradeable armor sets over having the same ass sword 100 times in your inventory
I haven't seen any point of getting and/or upgrading any armors other than the starting ones, compare that to odyssey where armor sets would lead to a completely different playstyle

So I also got given AC3 in the pack with Odyssey, is old-AC worth playing? I really liked Black Flag, easily the best AC before nu-AC

You should of played it during pride month.
It's better than Odyssey in terms of maps, combat (Except abilities), and variety in objectives but it's easily one of the worst AC games when it comes to story and characters. We're talking bottom of the barrel here. The DLC (Outside of Ragnarok because I have no idea on that) is infinitely better than the main game you have no idea.
The patched in content is an absolute grind fest. River Raids alone are like 60+ hours of pure grinding the same six maps to get enough cargo to buy out everything from Vagn and pay off both the buildings.
