So far I've found the game very easy to get into, the writing and atmosphere are incredible, but holy frick is the gameplay a slog, the only reason I've made it through some quests is because the writing and character interactions are so good but playing through the actual quests just isn't fun. It especially breaks my spirits when I finally complete an objective only to be given a similarly unfun and boring objective.

Based spiritual successor to Morrowind
That's a pretty accurate description ngl
i actually like both games, just being honest
No it is not. There is a resemblance, and that is all.
They're completely different games, moron.
>They're completely different games, moron.
Get a load of this n’wah fetcher who doesn’t praise Jesus Christ. How embarrassing for you.
They even refined the stupid directional combat shit from Arena/Daggerfall, it's so adorable
Its too small, the scope of the game that is, shame we couldn't get it with vienna on it and some larger battles, would make it even more kino
As long as the new region doesn't include 20 more quests that have you do literal chores/ run errands
All games that /misc/ likes are shit.
Sad you can't play as a female and there's no Black folk in the gams?
did you miss the Woman's Lot DLC or what?
i was bored before i even got the first quest. this game isn't vanilla ice cream, it's unflavored iced almond milk.
very few games in my library have been this pathetically uninteresting.
this is what ADHD looks like. voicing concerns about the game's quality and barely playing it for the standard length of a narrative setup does not make you seem reasonable or intelligent unfortunately
>this is what ADHD looks like
no, it's not.
>voicing concerns about the game's quality and barely playing it for the standard length of a narrative setup does not make you seem reasonable or intelligent unfortunately
i didn't 'voice' 'concerns', i 'expressed' 'criticism', and i don't give a frick how i seem to some milquetoast homosexual with shitty taste in video games.
>I read the first page of this book, what a terrible book!
medieval IQ right here
I had lot of fun wandering around forests and discover hidden treasures and killing uber bandits in full plate armor
People will complain about ASS creed releases but then someone else do it and you realize how boring reality is without magic or shit like that and you end up with fetch quests anyway in non ubie games
the sword combat system is the most moronic and broken I've ever seen. seriously Morrowinds mouse button mashing combat is superior
>want to play a first person hack and slash
>say you want an RPG
>berate an RPG for successfully being an RPG, beyond the subterranean standards of the genre
>ask it to be less of an RPG, instead of just playing a hack and slash
you people are so epic
I asked for a medieval rpg not a checklist of chores to do in a medieval setting, one quest literally has you do nothing but pull weeds.
>one quest literally has you do nothing but pull weeds.
Humility and charity are two of the classical Christian values that any noble knight would’ve abided by. Lern 2 roleplay
>AAAAAHHHHHH THIS GAME HAS ONE (1, UNO) QUEST IN WHICH I HAVE TO PICK TWO HERBS AAAAHHHHHHH I'M GOING INSANEEEEEEEE
its a simulator it isn't supposed to be fun. it accurately represents the dull tedium of being a peasant. play it in hardcore mode if you want more risk to raise tension levels
almost every pillar of the game's design is like a zoomer baby filter
it's not even that fricking complicated or slow
your mind is just fried completely black with juggling hundreds of enemies a minute with your hands serving up fireballs like a minigun, all the while having zero consequences for your actions
Hi Bored
The only time it felt like a slog to me was when I did a hardcore run and was trying to do all the side quests. So many of them just involve repeatedly riding back and forth between different cities. That kind of quest design only works if you can fast travel.
Only bad if you just accept one quest and do it immediately.
Accepting many quests, and doing them when it's convenient, gives it a natural and realistic flow.
Being in Rattay, knowing there are 3 side quest tasks in Sasau, as well as the next major story mission, but you also have some thieving shit to deliver to a miller on the way.
That structures good journeys that make hardcore more worth it in the first place.
Honestly what else were people expecting the game to have? it tries to be realistic, there's not much you do irl either, you have some combat that they even went on to try and make different, otherwise all you do is go from place A to B
Why is Chumps on the River so fun? I can't stop getting into it over and over again. My bow goes up from 9 to 14 just from Chumps alone
>play the game
>milled through semi-mandatory story bits
>finally can start exploring
>I'll be bandit hunting mercenary
>Cleared the bandit camps
>None of them re-spawned
🙁
Not that I dislike the game, but that kind of killed the desire to play it.
