I'm confused. Why is everyone predicting a Unova remake when Johto is the region that hasn't been revisited in the longest? I don't keep up with the scene or leaks

It's what Khu hinted will be the next game (A "Paradox Unova") and stuff like Drayton and Archaludon representing Unova's bridges feels like a hint. Plus Unova has stuff representing Past/Future like Opelucid City

I don't know why people bother to speculate, Unova will be remade within the next upcoming years like all gens are. Then Kalos, Alola, Galar, Kanto again, etc...
Even setting aside leakers and excluding LGPE (because K***o is special) the remakes have been coming out in proper order
We had FRLG then HGSS then ORAS then BDSP so it's only natural to assume gen5 is next
But they remake them in order of age. That's why they did Kanto after ORAS since at that point, Kanto hadn't been visited since Gen 3. So after BDSP, Johto should be next, Unova after.

They remade Kanto to serve as an introduction to the main series for Go secondaries.

I would love this, which is why it's not happening. They need a plot reason to explain why there's no trainers or league system, and I don't see them going post apocalyptic
They don't need to go Post-Apocalyptic. They can have the league taken over by mini cyberpunk dome battles in Night City. Instead of one league, there are 18 little gyms where trainers compete.

LGPE is considered a gen 7 game by Gamefreak so if they were actually committed to making Let's Go a series it would have happened towards the tail end of gen 8.
