i replaced online gaming with reading books, weight lifting and learning the keyboard. much happier. online video games aren't really for well adjusted adults

not that person but the last two books i read were song of achilles & circe, i thought they were both great but liked song of achilles more, mostly cuz it hurt me more

I'm only halfway through song of achilles... and I have been for like three years. I don't know if I'm ready for the pain.

Circe is on my list just because the author is so good.

        >"The Palace of Dreams" by Ismail Kadare
19th century Ottoman magical realism set in a Kafkaesque government ministry where the Sultan's men surveil dreams and popular consciousness, especially those of conquered peoples, Albanian political intrigue and Turkish coffee in a weird magical totalitarian office setting
        >"Whipping Girl" by Julia Serano

        >"Spring Garden" by Tomoka Shibasaki

Nta but I've only seen excepts from Serrano getting reposted here, and while most of it sounds legit when I read it, it's almost always accompanied by some unhinged post by the anon that it's why they hate cis women. Idk it seems to increase afab-misogyny worms if you already have those. Some people even love it for "being against afab enbies" when the text they post doesn't even say that

A lot of it talks about troonyism in relation to feminism, transmysoginy, and pick me bootlicking. So I can see how some people get amplified derangement for their regular misogyny or infighting worms.

    >got really angry because a fan in my computer was making a 'tak tak tak tak tak' noise.
    >instead of fixing it like a sane human being I start swinging at my pc as hard as I can
    >shockingly, it stops working
    >try to get it to work again for like an hour
    >it's kaput.
Oh well. I guess I'll get another one in several years when I graduate college and have a proper job. I miss video games already. It's only been a few days.

I lost interest in games over time. I like to play skyrim, stardew, and simple stuff like minish cap and slime rancher but I have no interest in the games I used to play in my teens and early 20s. Even then it's usually something I do in the same room with my gf, because she's a bigger gamer than me and it's fun to play side by side and chit chat while we go. I mostly do other hobbies now like reading, walking, digital photo collaging, and things like that.

If you care about if something is malebrained or fembrained, you're malebrained.

cool if that's what u genuinely want but why base your interests off of how [gender]brained they are instead of how much you naturally lean towards them? just sounds like another way to make yourself miserable if youre separating from shit you actually like

I can barely work up any energy to play games on my own anymore, it's not even an "oh games are so malebrained" thing like it's just tiring to play games unless it's with a friend. Except for Yakuza
