Baxcalibur would be good if the games still used sprites or at least had a decent art direction, ingame (and even in most promotional art so far) it looks as stiff and awkward as old Pokémon that weren’t given enough attention in the shift to 3D. Weird that they let it happen again with something entirely new.
I noticed that too, a lot of the new mons look good in art but not in 3D.

I know I have controversial tastes, but imo these look pretty much 'original' Pokemon to me. Like they could've come out between Gen2 and Gen4, maybe Gen5 for Arboliva.
