It's exactly that. They said they were going to a run of OoT beta version on that fast games event but it was a OoT hack.

It started out as a beta showcase, but the fan fiction was too powerful when they gave a back story to the running man and it only got worse from there

Doesn't mean it's not real. If it's done to a real cart it's canon and should be considered legitimate beta content as far as I'm concerned and I'm pretty sure Aonuma-san/Miyamoto would agree.

They literally created custom code/content and ran it through the cart. None of it was actual beta content outside of some models they showed off.

Nintendo always said they like seeing what fans can do with their existing games/IP. Therefore, they had the company's blessing and any custom beta content retrieved on the cart through TASbot is technically canonical.
Thats not quite the case, they said it was going to be an arbitrary code execution exploit run to display some beta content. Everything before this part at the end was indeed in the game files of a normal game cartridge
>Everything before this part at the end was indeed in the game files of a normal game cartridge
No, it isn't. One obvious fakery was the running man shit was completely made up. And the unicorn fountain, while real, is NOT actually in Zora's Domain or related to it at all.
Probably lots of other shit I'm forgetting. But tl;dr you're a dumb Hispanic for thinking you know anything.
I liked everything prior to this, would be nice as a romhack. Not beta content though, that was disingenuous as frick. Also frick twitch and frick cheap emotional bullshit like this, legit pathetic and disgusting
Big whoop, you injected the game live and tried to pass it off as some weird "totally beta content you guys :^)"
Absolutely floored by their ego when they talked about how this wasn't meant to replace the original game but to make it the game it "it should have been" something similarily asinine, going to the length of replacing the credits of the original game with the names of the hackers
I wouldn't have had any trouble with this homosexualry if they'd just upfront call it a code injection run or whatever you call it instead of this disingenious horseshit
>if they'd just upfront call it a code injection run or whatever you call it instead of this disingenious horseshit
They did. Sorry you're too fricking dumb to know what ACE is.
The whole thing was embarrassing to watch, not because it was fake, but because it was just a lot of unfunny fanfiction.
They showcased some beta content, the listing is accurate. And in the first minute, they tell you it's ACE, anyone with even a cursory understanding who has ever watched any of these events or seen a TAS in the past 5 years knows that 99% of what you see will be made up.
>Advertise stream as X >At the start of the stream reiterate that it's X but also you're using Y to perform it >Oh by the way it was actually Z this whole time :^) Hope you enjoyed the five seconds of X at the start :^)
Because everyone is going to know what ACE is, right? Come on, man. Be reasonable about the audience. Most of them aren't going to know jackshit about what was actually going on, and the fact that sites like the cutting room floor had to put up a notice telling people not to add anything from the event says a lot.
I legitimately don't care about what moronic zoomers misinterpret. Anyone with a brain knew what was going on. Do you get upset when kids watch a magic show and think the guy is actually sawing a woman in half?

I'm impressed you didn't just use a food analogy. Not that it matters, it's still a piss poor one.

It's a good analogy. The event was a show, some level of "deception" towards the idiots in the audience is fine in the name of entertainment. They never made any false statements, they just phrased them in a manner that could be misleading to morons.

Not really, since it wasn't even close to a magic show.

Ganker has to collectively create an Ocarina of Time Romhack. What items and elements do you add to the game? How does the story change? What features would you add?
I would create different quests where you can collect the panties of different girls, either by completing a romance side quest, or stealing them though stealth tactics.
This shit reminds me when Vinesauce streams corruptions and at some point people started sending him """corruptions""" that are heavily memory edited. >its not a rom hack its a corruption
was there actually any confusion over what was beta/fan content?
and yeah the show took a cringe dive when it went botw with voiced dialog and streamed twitch chat, again
you'd still have the same limits, so not nearly as impressive as you'd think
theres some good mario 64 hacks that run on real hardware but it doesn't compare to the art design in banjo kazooie for instance
this shit was fricking awesome, the way they stringed together all those beta elements and then had the chat join in at the end, all on a retail unmodded cartridge
This bonus run was absolutely amazing. And the amount of soul it radiated filled me with a good mood for a good while.
It's kinda sad to see you other anons being unable to appreciate this.
I'm not a twitch teen, though.
go back
where is this from?
It's cut beta content recently discovered on an original untampered OOT cartridge. They were somehow able to extract it live during a speedrun.
What is it exactly?
A GDQ troony made a block during the event for what was claimed to be an OOT beta cart. What it actually was was his fanfiction romhack.
you got a link to this? i still don't understand

Lol no it wasn't. Nearly all of it was fan fiction (defeating the running man dialogue) or recreated beta assets (unicorn fountain)
They were an actual woman but sure ok
Futagirl : RoBUTT
>Link talks
EW EW EW EW
No need to debate what was real beta content and what wasn't when they're open about it (although, they unfortunately weren't in the stream/video).
https://gettriforce.link/faq
>tl;dr: basically everything was made up
Just read a book designed for women you cringe babies
Link should really be magic user with more spells at this disposal that can be powered up.
Imagine randomly pressing buttons as a kid and inadvertently entering the triforce room and then BOTW link shows up along with a twitch chat.
>What the hell is twitch
troony speedrun for trannies. Take your ROM hack and shove it up your ass homosexual. YWNBAW
Nintendo fanbabies are literally the cringest Black folk in the world. Literally fricking have a nice day you nostalgia obsessed trannies.
I liked everything prior to this, would be nice as a romhack. Not beta content though, that was disingenuous as frick. Also frick twitch and frick cheap emotional bullshit like this, legit pathetic and disgusting
I liked the Running Man boss. Everything else just didn't feel right.

These are the people who wanted to forcibly inject you with science juice like they forcibly injected cringey fanfic into OOT.
was there actually any confusion over what was beta/fan content?

Cringe but impressive nonetheless,i wonder what a fully fledged N64 game made with modern tools would look like
