games usually give context as to why the protag is killing people. Like, they're a soldier, or an assassin killing bad guys, or a fantasy warrior killing bandits or whatever. Even when it's in the context of a crime game like GTA or Saint's Row, there is usually context that justifies the protag's actions to some extent. It's actually very rare that a game will be a straight up murder simulator and glorify senseless killing. I think the last game that did this and got mainstream attention was Hatred several years ago and many people back then had an issue with that game too because of how tasteless it was.
Pretty much any RPG that lets you roleplay as an evil character glorifies senseless killing in some way.
