I mean shit happens. You could just wait for the battle frontier where you can clone your TMS. Now it's too late for that, I don't remember this game having two earthquakes.

time to restart the game or you can use the save corruption glitch to revert your save to before you taught it earthquake as long as it wasn't more than two saves ago

Buy a DS flashcart or a gameboy save extractor, edit your save with pkhex, and give yourself another earthquake tm

Now you have no choice but to level up a Zigzagoon (or Phampy) to 100 for a 1% chance at getting an Earthquake TM each time pickup activates

You better fricking do it, pussy

    >Emerald
Good news, Emerald is completely fricking broken. You can get infinite TMs by Glitzer Popping. Get the in-game trade for the Seedot named "Dots", then double corrupt it into a Bulbasaur holding TM26.
    >why bulbasaur doe
It has the smallest hex ID, so you won't have to do as much EV grinding when you get to that step.

Honestly, thats what I love about the old TMs. They force you to make decisions and live with them. You can't just give your entire team the same braindead OP moves or copy an optimal smogon moveset from the get go, you have to manage your resources intelligently, work around the limitations of the games and sometimes even come up with original movesets that work only for that specific playthrough and team composition.

It works for the main story but it's a pain in the ass for battle facilities or online. You shouldn't have to replay, grind 80 BP or get a Pick Up mon to lv 91 and hope you hit the 1% chance just so you can get a second Earthquake TM in 4th gen.

If you care about battle facilities or online, you are probably replaying and grinding BP anyway.

pokemon is a game about planning ahead and being careful with your limited resources. I understand being frustrated when you've made a mistake, but you'll be fine with a dig flygon.

So what were the Japanese devs thinking with 1tm per game? Like a why was buying them never an option bar a few semi useful one?

Let's get people to invest more time into the series if they intend to make multiple strong teams

      Multiplayer was an afterthought.

You could easily trade items with other games in that generation. They probably thought if that person wanted that TM so bad he could just trade with FRLG.

Pokemon's multiplayer and singleplayer have always been at odds with each other sadly.
