I'm playing tears of the kingdom again
should I just start the game over? I rushed to get auto build when I started because I hated not having my core abilities but I skipped over the whole quest to get it so I feel like I missed out and fricked up my experience

have you heard "anime website" in response of "tranime" comments? well, this website has always been more porn than anime. People can't just help it, beautiful women wont every touch a Ganker's dweller, so please don't blame us. In fact, it is your own fault for browsing this godforsaken cesspol of a website knowing how shitty it is.

>I'm playing tears of the kingdom again
Why? There is no "experience" you missed out on. You can take your time, try to immerse yourself in some sense of linear storytelling and/or progression. It won't work. The storytelling/atmosphere/tone/worldbuilding/gameplay is all just complete and utter crap.
>t. Played BotW and TotK with no fast travel, primarily traversing via horse, climbing only when necessary
It's just Donkey Kong 64 with worse combat and no fun music or characters. As much as DK64 is a fun game, I ain't tryin' to play a much worse version of it for 30+ hours.
Just jerk off and move on. That's what I've been doing for a year now.
>Botw/Totk are just like DK64
This is the weirdest fricking take I have ever seen on Ganker. Do you think they're the same because you collect stuff in it? is Elden Ring just DK64 with better boss battles? Like how is your brain wired this wrong?
Elden Ring is more combat-focused, in fact it's really the only focus of the core experience. BotW/TotK is more platform/collectathon focused, with combat being pretty basic and in many contexts optional. That's all I meant.
I've posted a lot weirder shit than that, mind you. Don't enter a FFVII thread.
I never finished it, or even got significantly far in it
but I'm sad I missed out on discovering auto build for myself and the whole quest around finding it (;∀;)
>I never finished it, or even got significantly far in it
In that case, you may as well try if you're remotely interested and already own it. Just keep your expectations low, because it's essentially just a(nother) tired journey across Hyrule looking for something interesting. I'm gonna be honest, I don't even know what "quest" you're referencing in regards to discovering Auto-Build. There's no quest that I'm aware of, and if there was it must have been half-baked because I can't remember it. The Depths makes Bloodborne's Chalice Dungeons look like a masterpiece.
I wanted to like the game so much, but for every step forward it takes to fix BotW's God awful world design, it takes three steps back in other aspects, and in some regards it just didn't even bother. My disappointment with the fifth dungeon was immeasurable.
All shit opinions.
Let me know when (if) the single brain cell you possess divides so you can form an opinion of your own.
You haven't made any arguments to refute.
Just drivel.
You cannot name a single video game that comes anywhere close to the experience TotK provides. You can't name any game with a better designed open world, with more unique content, with more fun gameplay. TotK's tutorial area has more creativity, imagination and technical proficiency than most games have in their entirety.
The reality is that BotW raped this board sideways. You seethed every day for 7 years.
You were already farting blood about TotK YEARS before released.
And now it's yet another mega successful, massively acclaimed juggernaut, and one of my personal favorite games ever. Please keep seething.
You cannot name.ONE game.
There's no argument to refute lol. I had an opinion, you said mine was shit. That's it.
>You cannot name.ONE game.
Barkley Shut Up and Jam 2
>can't name a single game.
I'm shocked.
THAT'S A CHILD!
She's like 10122 at the end of TotK
she's 117 you sick frick
There's no "true" way to play it, I'd say just keep playing from where you're at
didn't read any of this thread just wanted to say i like that pic a lot. do you mind if i save it?
I don't get the appeal of Zelda
The quest to get it is no different then just getting it on your own.
You're just jumping down a hole and walking towards the mine.
Autobuild is kind of useless anyway.
The game is more fun when you don't waste time building anything.
yeah but don't you have to figure out to follow the statues and stuff through dialogue and paying attention?
I feel like I robbed myself of a really fun discovery and it's literally keeping me from wanting to play anything
>The game is more fun when you don't waste time building anything.
but then I might as well be playing botw
Yes, for like fifteen seconds. And that's literally all you do. Just shoot the lightballs at statues and walk. It's not fun. It's not clever. It's just a worse version of the Lost Woods from BotW. Following the torch was just as basic, but at least it was kinda neat visually, and the music helped make it memorable. The Depths has none of this.
>I might as well be playing botw
Yes and no. The issue is what I mentioned here
BotW and Totk both have some pros, and both have a lot of cons, and some were swapped. So now what's left is for a third, currently nonexistent game in the same style to, you know, actually be good. Both titles feel like unfinished tech demos for what is close to being 30 year old tech. Meanwhile they couldn't even bother putting any effort into basic concepts like the combat or story, nevermind the puzzles or level design or dialogue or the npcs or the cities/villages or the, frick it.
Todd Howard may as well have overseen production of these games.
TotK rapes your favorite game.
Rapes it, and laughs.
Yeah, TotK definitely had its way with me. I feel traumitized after having experienced it.
>yeah but don't you have to figure out to follow the statues and stuff through dialogue and paying attention?
no, i just went to the great plateau early on, it's right below the great plateau
>I feel like I robbed myself of a really fun discovery
Dude, it's just autobuild ffs.
>but then I might as well be playing botw
Ok.
I'm being 100% unironic when I say this, but this is one of the sexiest images to ever exist. It is drawn absolutely perfectly.
You do you king.
I'm just starting on my 3rd playthrough. This time I'm not going for the paraglider and want to see how I get on, just trying to get by using my wits and abilities.
Made for gerudo men
I want old zelda games back again in the form of new games. Cramped secluded areas that are well distinguised, leading to diverse and cool big dungeons. All connected to a slightly bland but important hub town. An overarching story to hint at where events will take place. Noooo fast travel. Lots of cool gimmicks that stay lore friendly. No sci fi gadgets like cameras n shit. Simple enough combat. Weapons made by the shittiest of smiths need to go. A sword has more than 7 hits in them unless you bash it to break it. What is Nintendo dooing. They are killing my boy!
Also I'm trans btw
Frick no. I played Twilight Princess lately and honestly embarrassing how bland and stale that kind of design. It genuinely feels like a bygone era. Like trying to go back to Doom after playing HalfLife. Get a grip.
Just wanna say that TotK runs and looks like complete ass in handheld mode.
BotW looks and runs much better.
Works on my machine
Looks and run great on my OLED.

I can't get this shit to run on ryujinx even on a fresh install. It just crashes the entire emulator when attempting to load it up. Unicorn Overlord works fine.
I want to like totk but I just feel like I'm playing botw again
