I thought it was great. I played it coop with my friends and playing through the levels on high difficulty, unlocking all the gear and customizing our characters was a lot of fun. Too bad the version on Steam is unplayable without tinkering with the fricking files.
i liked it too, i just remember it having some issues with turning into a slog and enemies being too spongy at points. fun for an AA spinoff though

With how much capcom seems to want to make shitty multiplayer RE games why the frick haven't they made a really good mercenaries only RE game since people don't mind that?
Just the gameplay. The story was fricking balls and felt way too all over the fricking place.
It’s garbage, and the only saving grace is Mercenaries, you dumb fricking contrarian.
It wasn’t. The first 30 minutes is just an unskippable walking sequence with an obvious outcome. Nothing is more soulless than that.
Kino it is
6 was hampered by it's need to have the chris and leon confrontation. It jumps through hoops to justify that scenario but then it will just completely ignore obvious fan service.
I legit don't get why Jill and Claire weren't in 6. It should have been the game that ties all these stories together, instead we have 2 characters who have no revelance to the greater story. I've long held the belief that 6 should have just been about Sherry and Jake yucking it up with zombies powers (you could incorporate it into gameplay). Instead of the absolute clusterfrick that the final game is (and not in a good way).
That said 6 gave us Agent, so it wasn't all bad.
Please understand, Capcom HAS to introduce new immediately forgotten characters with every RE game.
