It's got it's moments, but they're unfortunately mixed with a lot of half-assed decisions.
I like the game, but it's clear they rushed development on it (despite the six years wtf).
So many things that could make it way better, the groundwork is all there too, what a waste.
It's one of the best DLC ever made

Found your problem. I forced myself to play around 30 hours (beat all the temples, Lynel coliseum, a good chunk of the shrines, got maxed out Fierce Deity armor, and the Master Sword) but after that I couldn't take it anymore and killed Ganondorf in 3 "perfect" dodges
you are now realizing that the majority of New Zelda players don't actually get that far and just do the tip of the iceberg. The rest either see the rest of the iceberg for what it is and they sleep, or they turn into massive autists and collect every repeating Korok seed puzzle.

The recent Zelda games are so unbelievably good that they are judged to a higher degree than any other game ever made. They are truly games from the future in every regard, so they awaken this desire within everyone who plays them that makes them want "just one more thing and it would be perfect". It's actually insane how they managed this. They are so open and such incredible adventure games that every gamer that plays them dumps their wildest dreams and expectations on to them. This, in turn, makes them somehow blame the game for it's shortcomings, despite the fact that they accomplish more than any other game, by far. It truly is fascinating.

Because BoTW took off like a fricking rocket, which gave the Switch massive momentum at launch, and that has lead to the Switch on track to beat the PS2.
Which, for some shit posters, wasn’t supposed to happen at all; the Switch was supposed to be a Wii U level flop. One big enough to force Nintendo out of the console market.
So now, these mind broken people have to resort to prove that BoTW (and by extension, ToTK) were actually shit games all along, because it would mean the Switch’s unstoppable success would be underserved.
