All of the indie games on the Playstation store come from PC and all the exclusives are timed. You can count DeS if you want but all of the big title games will just be on PC after a while. I don't think it matters to have exclusives I just want games in general. We are stuck in an endless loop of announcements and delays. AAA gaming is a bigger joke than its ever been. The AAA market can be dead forever for all I care but even indie titles are affected by early access shit and just being TBA games with good trailers.

It's not your internet per se. The PS4 has a shitty connection that it limits the amount of bandwidth it can download. I feel like the switch is the same because downloading the weekly 20GB Rocket League garbage update takes forever on WiFi and Ethernet USB. Dunno about Xbox.

Does it not launch without internet? Genuine question, haven't used a console in a long time. What happens if you put the disc in, let it install, then hit play (without internet)?
You can play the base version on the disc. The once the download is complete, it will launch the updated version the next time you start the game.
Im amazed the PS5 lets you do that tbh. Thought it would be online only even for discs.
