You could still see it. Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior are clearly "canonical" classes. Most of the other ones were tacked on, with the exception of Imperial Agent which somehow turned out great.
Yeah the Sith Warrior class story is the best Star Wars content I've played so far. Just pure gold, especially Chapter 1 & 3.

Jedi Knight storyline is KOTOR3. Especially clear with later expansion how his companions have more role than others

jedi knight's story is roughly what 3 would've been at least the last 2 chapters I imagine
but yeah you can tell with vanilla that this could've been a kino DA origins style rpg but it was grafted into a mmo format and struggled ever since

It has been 13 years. Maybe we could get a reimagining of the game into a Mass Effect style single player w/ coop story game. I know they still kind of support SWTOR today, but the MMO aspects of it were always the weakest part of the game imo. I played the game in like 2012-2013 and basically only played the stories. I would max level a character, try to play some endgame content, hate it and then go start a new character.
Maybe one day after SWTOR is end of life there can be a fan made repack of the stories.

Bioware killed itself
EA started preliminary stages of Bioware acquisition as early as 2005. trough intermediaries in form of broker agencies and such. By the time acquisition was finalized an published, Blizzard was raking in billions from WoW and all the big players in the industry wanted their piece of that mmorpg pie.
Games released by real Bioware somewhat unaffected by EA were Mass effect, Jade empire and Dragon age origins, but with DLC and some shit that will just be signs of whats to come.
After that is DA2, MA2 etc.
Yeah anyone watching from the outside in knew it was clear EA was killing yet another studio with the changes they made. They were the reason we got multiplayer in ME3 which ironically enough, because that took away from singleplayer dev time, ended up being the best part of the game.
You mustve not been here when the game was releasing. The story of the TORtanic was amazing on Ganker and the board shared the same sentiment.

Kotor 1 and 2 deserve a logical conclusion. A Kotor 3 game that capitalizes on the investment from first two games and gives a big crescendo where John Shepard, Revan and the Exile join forces and venture into the outer rim to defeat the reapers.

I loved play my male Chiss Agent. It felt canon. Although me being able to stop Valkorion from mind fricking me was moronic. A non force user would get get melted by that guy.
KOTFE should be only for Force classes only (or even restricted to more specific classes) while there should be paralel campaign for non Force classes
But that would be expecting to much from EA Bioware
Best case scenario should be more specific class acts in future expansions anyway
Getting a plot gun as other classes is funny though
In the very, very early stages of development, like before any code had been written or any concept art done, it was Kotor3. The Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior class stories were what was written for it(about a third of the way through the game it was planned to have a major story choice between light side and dark side, and that would change the story for the rest of the game). Very early on, EA saw the success of WoW and other mmos and decided they were going to chase that trend, so they forced Bioware to change gears completely, it didn't take much because no actual work had been done other than writing.
I'll have to look for a bit to find it, but this all came from some gaming site article where they interviewed an ex Bioware dev a long time ago, it was long enough since he worked on SWTOR that he was able to talk about it.
