Idk even how to start the dlc.
Also just finished the base game yesterday, what a blast that was. Gonna do a few more runs today for achievements and fooling around.
>Idk even how to start the dlc.
At starting planet start dlc thing first by looking at some pictures
Then
Fly to perimeter beacon thing
Look at sun from that position
Suddenly sun disappears
Fly to thing that blocks sun
Start dlc
The pictures are somewhere in that place where the statue stares at you (from the normal game) i believe
People say the dlc is spooky but I never got to a spooky part yet. It's very relaxing (for now anyway)
lol, even when you get to the start of the 'spooky part' it doesn't get scary all at once. It really starts to scare the shit out of you though as you progress further into the 'spooky part'.
In the Canyon, you can light the interior bridge, send the elevator down, put out the lights, switch to the cove, take the raft from the cove back to the canyon, and go up the elevator you previously sent down. You're now on the inner side of the interior bridge *without* having to light it while playing hide and seek. Avoiding the guy at the bottom floor is easy, and you're home free.
Went back and finished the DLC. I liked it a lot. It was really cool but the ending lacked finality and him killing himself as he did felt more like another puzzle to be solved and lacked the feeling of a climax of the events even a few moments prior, which I guess may have been the point but the weight of the moment was undercut when I said >what now
instead of >damn
Ultimately it runs into a bit of a problem wherein because of how separate the dlc is it should be played after the base game, but to get any amount of payoff for all your effort you need to do the base ending again. It's best played in isolation, particularly with the context of a full base playthrough - yet paradoxically, it's best finished together. Not in love with that.
Also the scariest part about it was the >THIS IS GOING TO BE SUPER SCARY
warning message. Put me right on edge and got me set up for some spooky shit because I already found the base game quite scary in places. Then it never got to the level of the angler fish and what threat was there wasn't too threatening. I likely wouldn't have felt disappointed with the level of spookiness without the warning, probably quite pleased even. It's a fantastic example of a trigger warning kneecapping the experience a bit for me.
YMMV I guess. My palms were sweating from the moment I stepped outside the tower into the darkness (but later I was more frustrated than tense when I kept getting caught)
base game is great but the dlc was boring and i couldnt finish it. does it get better?

Ok, ty. Gonna give it a shot when I’m home and see how it goes.

Same
Story is amazing and just as good as the main game but the gameplay is abysmal
DLC never existed
U R A gayGET
>does it get better?
it fricking slaps once you connect all the clues. Has one of the most kino moments in vidya.
>he didn't skip the cabin stealth section by taking the raft to the back and going up the lift
Explain further
He probably followed a guide, since there's hidden shortcuts when you learn the secrets of the game. Don't deprive yourself of the experience
I figured it out myself, but it took me 3 or so attempts to get the procedure right

Yep, that's how I did it (eventually)
I heard there's a hidden matrix bridge that can skip this section too, not sure if that's accurate
