Until recently this was true but it's not with SV and especially not the Indigo Disk DLC. Indigo Disk has the toughest fights the series has ever had and it's not even close.
>You can now change you pokemon EV easely, even maxing with boost >You can change your pokemon nature >You can relearn every move they learned by level, at anytime for free >You have unlimited amount of TM >You can max out your IV >You can change your Pokemon ability
Come on, guys.
You can go back and play these at any time. They're not hard but they're immediately and obviously harder than the new games. Gamefreak literally admitted this.

You’re only saying this because you’re looking at the teams on serebii. With how easy getting good IVs and EVs has become, competitive items too, and with the powercrept bullshit the game gives you for free, it’s still easy as frick.
Volo from PLA was a nice outlier though.
Oh my Arceus! I hate people who say the games that didn't hold your hand, tell you the typechart, and have an autowin button are harder. Can't you just enjoy the game
>Game Freak threatens to take action against Palworld >Shitposting tactic suddenly shifts gears back to genwarring
Discordsisters running scared I see...
>play BDSP >650% experience across the whole party, can't turn it off >friendship permanently fused to affection, simply walking around with your Pokemon will eventually earn them even more exp as well as the extra crit rate, status effect erasure, and dodging chance boost >catching Pokemon gives you exp, and therefore your entire team exp. >Gym Leader teams are the same level as DP, a game without all the above mentioned
I know this is a bait thread but nonetheless that image is dead wrong
Anon, 63 attack effectively makes the Pokemon like 15+ levels higher than it actually is. Platinum overlevels you ON TOP of the NPCs having terrible stats.
When i played Diamond when i was 6 it took me 2 months to beat Cynthia
the newer games have actually gotten harder on average because game freak remembered EVs exist
>You can now change you pokemon EV easely, even maxing with boost

>You can relearn every move they learned by level, at anytime for free

Come on, guys.
>the gen 7+ games are still harder than platinum because platinum is simply that braindead
Pretty sad, isn’t it?
Not gonna lie, I almost fell for your bait
>new games you need to worry about stat management
>platinum you don’t need to worry about stat management
>this somehow means platinum is harder
Dude, you've understood that I won't feed you, right ?
>making shit up
I was like 18 when I last played platinum and I still couldn’t beat cynthia
You can go back and play these at any time. They're not hard but they're immediately and obviously harder than the new games. Gamefreak literally admitted this.
>They're not hard but they're immediately and obviously harder than the new games
they aren’t though
They are though
They aren’t though

Yooo Pokemon used to be sooo hard
>Garchomp used Earthquake
>Garchomp used Earthquake

>You won!
Oh my Arceus! I hate people who say the games that didn't hold your hand, tell you the typechart, and have an autowin button are harder. Can't you just enjoy the game
>autowin button
What?
Megas, z-moves, etc
I don't understand how people struggled against Cynthia... I was like 6 and kicked her ass.
Why are you acting like people can’t replay games
easy games can be harder than yet easier games
you can prefer things to be easy versus being very easy
dont know why this still needs to be said
The newer games are harder so this argument is still nonsense.
>Game Freak threatens to take action against Palworld
>Shitposting tactic suddenly shifts gears back to genwarring
Discordsisters running scared I see...
the easiest (and worst) games are gsc and xy
>gsc when red exists
I was 15 though.
Cynthia is still the hardest champion in the series
yeah, in BDSP, not in Platinum.
>BDSP
>With its bullshit affection bonuses
>Platinum
>with its bullshit trainers not even having EVs
BDSP overlevels you do the EVs are not enough to make them harder
>BDSP overlevels you
So does Platinum.
No it doesn’t moron. DPPt have a coherent level curve that was actually designed for them, BDSP doesn’t account for its own exp share system
uh oh, yawngay's gonna show you his level 80 infernape now
That infernape would have been a full team in BDSP kek
>No it doesn’t moron
Yes it does.
>I only use one (1) mon
>See ? It's overleveld !
Battles are 1v1. Why would I need to use more than one Pokemon?
Yeah, why would you have more than one Pokemon in your party ?
...it's a speedrun.
>heh I don't have an argument but maybe if I keep accusing him of baiting I'll win
Yeah, so if you did a regular run where you actually took your time and fought all the trainers you'd be even more overleveled. Grim.
In a regular run you won't RNG manip to get good seeds, RNG luck and beat the game with only one pokemon
Thats right
>My brother in Arceus
Why does this fill me with second-hand embarrassment?
Probably because poketards and their memes are inherently embarrassing
Atheists and their materialism are cringe
Because phrase reeks of reddit and onions.
onions are good for you
I played it a month ago, it was difficult
The zoomers posting here definitely weren't 11 for Platinum. Neither was the zoomer that made that image.
gen 3-4 is zoomercore, gramps
If you were 11 in 2003 you're not a zoomer.
Hell, if you were 11 in 2008 you're not a zoomer.
zoomers are born between 1997 and 2001
Someone born in 97 isn't old enough to play Ruby and Sapphire in 2002.
i played rse in 2005 and i was born in 1998 tho
Not only is that blasphemy, I was in my late teens.
>Facebook
her point still remains
U mad jimmy?
>Exp share
>10+ Pokéballs
>Rivals with weak starters
>Forced legendary capture
Just these four things make the games easier.
>EVs
Just this one thing make the games harder.
>play BDSP
>650% experience across the whole party, can't turn it off
>friendship permanently fused to affection, simply walking around with your Pokemon will eventually earn them even more exp as well as the extra crit rate, status effect erasure, and dodging chance boost
>catching Pokemon gives you exp, and therefore your entire team exp.
>Gym Leader teams are the same level as DP, a game without all the above mentioned
I know this is a bait thread but nonetheless that image is dead wrong
BDSP is far harder than any other modern pokemon game because of buffed npc teams
Pokemon WAS way harder back in the day
And here I win AGAIN.
I. AM. INVINCIBLE.
>the game is suddenly hard because enemy shitmon has 63 more attack meanwhile my entire team is 10 levels ahead
ok?
Anon, 63 attack effectively makes the Pokemon like 15+ levels higher than it actually is. Platinum overlevels you ON TOP of the NPCs having terrible stats.
If anything the league is overleveled, especially in DP
Every time I replay an old game it's always an internal struggle on if I want to completely shit all over it or not
It's even worse with the new ones. Magikarp evolving at level 20 is ridiculous. It should be at least 40
>My brother in Arceus
Oh my science!!!
