In terms of gameplay, meaning character progression, combat, enemy types, weapons, armor, upgrading, etc. it actually manages to improve in all aspects.
The graphics, music, world variety, etc. is all better.
The story and obvious leftist political influence is still an issue, but if you're not an autistic eternally online sperg like most of Ganker it's generally easy to ignore. I actually thought Varl would be a forced ineterracial romance but Aloy seems genuinely too autistic for that kind of thing and they gave him his own Black person b***h to frick, surprisingly. She will annoy you though, she's the stereotypical Hollywood "strong black powerful independent female that's perfect in every way and noble and fierce and fights evil conservative values wherever she sees them" trope.
That being said, I enjoyed it. There's an entire new "race" with a semi interesting lore, the new weapons are great (a lot more stuff you can break off of machines and exploding spears like Mad Max) several new "elemental" damage types with their own status effects (acid fricking slaps and the effect looks cool watching armor plates melt off of big machines).
Overall I would say if you liked the first one you'll like FW even more.

Base gameplay is a fun, dumbed down version of monster hunter. The story is decent but the characters are the absolute worst uninspired ones I've seen in my life. Even days gone had better characters and I despised that piece of shit.
Things I've liked so far, very pretty world, extremely chill vibes intertwined with frenetic fast combat. Also, the setting seems cool and the mystery of wtf happened here.
Things I don't like are the characters, Aloy's ok, but some of the npcs are cardboard cutouts. Some of the dialogue is cringe.
It has some good elements, fighting robo-dinosaurs is pretty cool, so is piecing together what happened.
Current events are fairly boring though, characters are uninteresting etc.
I'm not sure whether I'll play the sequel
Hunting robo-dinos is pretty fun and it looks great graphics-wise. I also liked the backstory and discovering what happened to the world.
But everything else about it is meh to ok.
Most characters are just boring and forgettable.
While the lore is interesting the story itself really isn't al that engaging.
It doesn't fail in any huge way but it's pretty standard and somewhat unimaginative in many of its design ideas.
I don't get what Sony fans were losing their shit over, I went into it expecting more.
Bad.
>I'm playing Zero Dawn
>how is it
If you're playing it, then you can come up with an opinion by yourself.
I'm liking it so far, only a couple of hours in.
Very chill. Just wanted to know what folks here thought.
its awful. I dropped it in the intro missions where you are forced listen to a bunch of audio logs walking around.
oh I misunderstood, you were asking about HZD
>folks
GO BACK homosexual
What razzes yer berries daddy-o?!
wrong place to ask man, trust me.
this is as good a take as you will get, have fun with the games anon
>wrong place to ask man, trust me.
why tho? what's the problem?
>what's the problem with Ganker
if you even gotta ask my g..
I dropped the game around 10-15 hours in. It's just fricking boring. If you enjoy the stale formula of Ubishit openworld games then you'll enjoy this.
I've never played any Ubisoft AC games before.
It's ok
Textbook definition of mediocrity.
pretty good
shallow and tedious, combat is the best part but it gets old after you get the hang of it
>combat is the best part but it gets old after you get the hang of it
I feel this way about every game i play
>OP likes games made for girls and gays lmao

Nil is alright
Combat is fun, but some weapons didn't need to exist and could've been merged with other weapons. I mean three fricking bows, really?
Not lore related story and characters are mostly dogshit, with a few exceptions.
>How is it?
Good
Ass creed with a higher marketing budget. It isnt bad or anything, but people act like its special and it really isnt

painfully mediocre
ass creed knockoff.

Fricking dumb. Gameplay is alright I guess.
Gameplay is always king
>Gameplay is always king
