To dig a trench?
Can you?
Yes! Anyone can with a shovel. People have been doing it for thousands of years.
>Anyone can with a shovel
False. You have never dug a trench.
What if you use a pickaxe aswell?
Shovel+pickaxe+time=trench. No?
pickaxe if its hard and rocky, but my point was its really hard and a fatboy aint gonna manage it or a small woman or anyone with a bad back and youll get a bad back after an hour of diggin if you arent a strong
not like it's far
hrmmm, i guess it wouldnt be very hard then, BUT i dont think thats enough water. What if diablo digs another trench inside hell? And he funnels it to China
then it's a win-win
That's China's problem. They're not helpless.
Still haven't watched this. Is it xianxia or wuxia?
I don't know the difference.
Here's the first scene of the show: https://youtu.be/1muOeJ4fBps
Wuxia is essentially martial world, as in martial arts are the predominant factor for power and influence. Xianxia is like the high fantasy version of wuxia's fantasy, where people seek immortality and cultivate insane supernatural powers. A lot of stories take place in the middle ground between them, but some have clearly defined boundaries.
It's closer to Wuxia but the protagonist doesn't really fit either of the Chinese martial arts story tropes because he just wants the bullshit to end and live in peace. He is interested neither in acquiring power, nor in obtaining immortality and he actually values human life, but he gets pissed off at those that throw it away like it's something worthless even if it's their own lives when they attack him as he kills them.
Wuxia is grounded in Chinese history, the time when martial arts clans, sects, and cults were the predominant powers in the country. As a genre, Wuxia basically takes the people's claims of that time as true. Qi attacks, diamond body, palm and fist attacks, 5 element qi, etc., while constraining the upper limits to what the people of that real time period claimed was possible. Wuxia also usually takes place in that time period, on actual Earth in actual China with the Shaolin, Wudao, etc. Like the other anon said, Xianxia is the high fantasy version of this. Can take place in other fictional universes, and the upper limit is being literal God with lifespans longer than stars, creating new universes, etc. Xianxia also focuses heavily on the Dao, with Daoist theory and philosophy (achieving the Dao is the source of the aforementioned godhood). A third genre is Xuanhuan, another fantasy style where they ignore Daoism and just go all in on fantasy colored with martial arts and the five elements and spirit beasts and so on, but the upper limit of power levels also tend to stay more reserved because of it.
Naruhodo
Wuxia.
Now China has all of America/Tristram's water supply. We dun goofed
Now we have no choice but to poison the river.
Wait, Diablo world is not Earth, no? China does not exist there to begin with...
The mage character from Diablo 3 is called Li-Ming, what do you think?
>diablo 3
oh...
The assassin is also asian now in the D2 remaster, after undergoing extensive race-change surgery, so maybe she is Chinese too.
That's too much work.
>but my point was its really hard and a fatboy aint gonna manage it or a small woman
Give them motivation and time and they will make the best trench you've ever seen.
Give the Fatbois enough motivation and it'll turn into a monster.
Even more motivation and you get Hitler
Even MORE motivation and you get tens of thousands of slaughtered russians in the fields of Ukraine
Frick off back to twitter
You think a river can flood hell?
In Christ all things are possible.
Only one way to find out.
Logically I don't see why it wouldn't. Water flows downhill.
If you flood an anthill they just come out and form floating deathballs
Not if you do it with molten metal.
>roasting ants with molten aluminum
It's honestly the best way to study ant colony designs. Sucks for the little shits though.
but demons are made of hellfire
what if you put it out with water tho? why didn't anyone think of this?
High resistance gear I guess what the frick do I know
>what if I gave the demons a relaxing steam before they come and kill me?
Sounds like a solid plan, unless you are hoping it will somehow transfigure them in time finns.
Heavenwater, idiot!
Not possible. It's physically impossible with modern tools to dig past the crust. Which is only like a 10th of what the Mantle is which is even harder than the crust. Without tools, because none will exist in hell, it will be impossible. And even at a theoretical level, if water got a football field length away from the outer core it would evaporate
You can literally walk there
Show me.
*shows*
WHAT
Hey that's not a route to hell that's your ballsack.
>tools don't exist in hell
How did they build hell then?
magic
aw shit I forgot about the magic
you never forget about the magic, anon!
Hell isn't physically under the ground it's another universal plane.
Maybe we can make the water fall into lava releasing a constant steam. Demons will have their visions impaired, succubi will have a sauna, and all of them will have price cuts in their games on holidays, since they would be on steam all the time.
>Game series progressively gets worse over time
2 was better than 1
Why didn't he just love his son?
He actually loved his wife a lot. In his eyes this wretched creature killed his wife.
legacy > lineage is a common mindset in universe.
because tyrion is grrm's self-insert and his dwarfism is a reference to his morbid obesity
tywin represents grrm's own frustrations with his parents, which he incorrectly attributes to mindless discrimination
I thought GRRM's self insert was Samwell.
dwarf
It could work
>hell suddenly becomes a gay party
Tywin was an absolute moron
>I'll just let the king waste more and more money
>He'll be indebted to me
>Now my grandson will inherit this throne
>Also let me toy with my son's heart
>Now let me go war with Starks spending tons of money lol
>Oh shit my son killed me
>Oh shit my grandson is now in mountains of debt
>Oh shit my family is now poor because of king and war
>Oh shit Starks now rule over notBritian(TM)
Why do people take him seriously? We never even see one example of his battles, just cutting to the end of them. What a joke of a show
Why would they show his battles when he lost all of them? His only winning battle (Red Wedding) is already shown to full extent.
I just wanted to see some cool battles, the show was just moronic characters being moronic without doing anything cool. The few battles were alright if you ignored the moronic tactics, but they only had like 15 in the whole show. I wish I had my 50+ hours back
I like that Alexander movie because the battles are rad and they use real tactics.
Also you can see colin farrel's penis if you're into that sort of thing.
it's a classic "smart because the author says he's smart" character
Not really, he was just a deeply flawed person that ended up instigating his own doom. He even beat Tyrion, who had to get help to kill him.
He really didn't have any choice after Ned was killed. It was either fight the war or admit your grandson isn't the rightful king. Even if he somehow managed to make peace with the Starks, he still has Stannis and Renly to deal with and neither of them is gonna frick off.
Blame Joffrey not Tywin
>Blame Joffrey
Really shouldn't you blame cersei and jamie for fricking a bunch and having like 4 kids together?
I'm still confident that if you put Joffery in Tyrion's care he would have turned out to be a Robert 2.0. Kid had moments of genius he was just surrounded by shit people and thus grew up to be a complete shithead.
Yeah you're probably right actually, their other kids weren't ultra-moronic so it's probably a nurture vs nature type scenario.
>literally the only person in King's Landing to point out how they should probably take the whole fricking dragon thing seriously
>admits to his own faults as a person and recognizes his weaknesses until Cerscei buries him under his own arrogance
He absolutely deserved to die but it's a shame since with a proper mentor he could have been one of the best rulers that shitty city would have had
Also he had the idea of the king owning a standing army loyal to the king instead of all the feudal lords having their own armies with their own interests.
Would've been neat to see.
>everyone laughs off the idea of what is essentially a democracy
>shows ends up being exactly that, likely even going with Joffery's idea of the king having his own army
what a fricking bizarre ending
In all seriousness standing armies are incredibly expensive, and Westeros didn't have the resources to field one, nor was the nobility inclined, much less able to pay for one through taxation.
Historically, France and England had to go through extensive wars to depopulate their nobility and centralize power. Germany famously, didn't do this until after the rise of Prussia and that's why Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland are all separate countries.
The democracy thing was so gay. God those writers are shit.
>We never even see one example of his battles
Tywin isn't even that amazing of a general competent to be sure and ruthless (which is the reason people say he would have won the Battle of Stoney Sept if he had commanded there instead of JonCon) but the Lannisters lose pretty much every battle they fight against the Starks during the War of the Five Kings. Stannis is the Creeeeeeeed of Westeros.
He was a big hypocrite with lots of blind spots when it came to his family and his legacy. he should have killed Tyrion or sent him to the wall when he was young.
The wracking up of dept also seems particularly foolish when you factor in the fact that the gold mines in Casterly Rock are empty.
Charles Dance is just that much of a legend honestly.
He was the best part of Last Action Hero.
Except for that moronic eyeball.
Excuse you?
I am excused.
I haven't read the books in forever, but wasn't his brother the better general ?
IIRC in the books, he basically took his house from a joke (dad was called something like the cowardly lion) to basically what it is by the time of GoT because he was ruthless. I'm pretty sure one of the major battles he won was over some petty usury bullshit, and he basically just salted the earth to send a message. He locked a bunch of people in a mine and sealed it shut so they would die down there. The mines were what they were fighting over.
>TL;DR He wasn't actually smart, He was just brutal and pragmatic to a fault.
Castamere was a mine and a castle. The Reynes retreated into the mines and instead of negotiating, Tywin diverted a pool of water and drowned them all. The Reynes of Castamere are no more.
They could have even diverted it 10 feet to the left and flooded the cave lol.
would he have been a better king if you got rid of that c**t Cersei early on?
He'd need a replacement mother.
He'd probably be less egged on in his delusions though there's a probability that his viciousness is due to inbreeding and he was murdering cats out of impatience as a toddler but he'd also be absolutely neglected by his father. Tywin would machinate to have control of him in some form.
Joffrey is doomed to have a shitty childhood
Murdered a man for his sneakers?
It's strongly implied that his worse traits are a result of his overwhelming need to impress his negligent father and his cruel mother skewing his outlook.
He's cruel because he thinks it makes him strong.
The water would just evaporate when it reached Hell. It is HOT down there.
Yeah, but then the humidity gives all the demons now have swamp ass.
Imajine the SMELL
Quite pungent, indeed
It would cause a big explosion and make hell on earth (formerly the southlands)
Worst case scenario is that you collapse the caves into hell and ruin the countryside around Tristham.
A price worth paying to seal off hell.
>set up a large restroom over the hole
>fill hell up with poop and pee
>hell is too stinky and embarrassed to attack
Anon It's hell
It smells like burning flesh and sulfur already
So you're telling me hell is a cookout on Hawaii.
I mean...
Yeah that's probably the closest equivalent we have on earth
*kik* *kik*
BBBBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
>it's another "why didn't they just do [thing that would mean there's no plot]?" thread
What plot is in Diablo? You're telling me Deckard Cain, master of the mystic arts, never thought to do away with man's mortal enemy by digging a trench to a hole in the ground?
It's not my fault you people are uncreative.
Do you want to fight demons or do you want to b***h?
I'm here to solve problems.
What problem? The labyrinth is there so you can explore it. The monsters are there so you can kill them. Anything else is just set dressing. Do you really need a reason to explore the dungeon?
I was under the impression that Diablo, Lord of Hell, was a bit of a problem.
I want to fight demon b***hes.
could have also blessed the flowing water as an additional dick move
That might actually have done something. Blessing huge quantities of water into holy water is a great tactic if you have the prep time, it's helped out in some severe situations a number of times when I knew what was coming.
He's a pushover
>you can block Apocalypse
Intradasting.
Why go through all that work when humans can just kill him? Funny enough, in D1/2 lore, demons aren't really a big threat to Sanctuary. Most regular people will get bamboozled, but if the threat ever gets big enough, all the mage clans will just unite together and fricking destroy them (again). There's a reason the emergence of humanity ended the Great Conflict. Once humans start to reach the lore equivalent of level 80 and 90, they steamroll demons. Even just one Arkaine not only pushed them off Sanctuary but then invaded Hell and massacred them until he finally died of old age. Humans were so OP their magic threatened to destroy Sanctuary from the aftershocks, so the angels used the Worldstone to fortify the barrier between realms, making it more difficult for anyone on Sanctuary to transfer mana from the Ethereal Realm. That had the consequence of all making angels and demons heavily suppressed when they appear on Sanctuary, so the newly weakened humans are still able to overcome them. Baal destroying the Worldstone only means the boxing gloves are off, so demons can manifest at full power in their true forms but humans also get their full power back.
Then D3 fricked up everything, but we don't talk about that.
What a fricking little b***h
Rest in peace little homosexual
That skull hole looks to be the right size.
By the way what is the significance of this sword if any?
because they didnt want to flood the church but save prince albrecht. also, the water would not have flown up into the church, and its not a river, its a creek.
and it would not have solved anything, either.
