They also nerfed Nova Prime's ass, and that never got fixed, so I don't know if they'll fix Wisp's. I guess some other frames also got their prime asses nerfed but I'm too lazy too compare.

I love the free-to-play model this game has. Don't know why more games don't adopt a similar model. Nowadays every game wants to charge you for every little thing you find in game.
Besides that, Warframe has some cool designs for the playable characters which are different enough in abilities and playstyles so you have a lot of choices. Most type of missions are cool, and some people like me don't really mind the grind for some of the rarest drops, give me things to do with my favorite characters. Great cinematic quest and lore too.
And most important, great endgame. Lots of customization option for all your Warframes and both of your not Warframes (still want more for these two).

i spent money on Warframe up to the price of a normal game because i played it as much as such and you can go frick yourself if you think anyone in their right mind should play merchant for hours to gain access to basic game features.
the game was cool, great even, fantastic lore, designs, weapons- until it started taking 12 hours IRL to advance in any meaningful way just so i could spend another 5 grinding for 3 items to craft something that would take another 4 hours to even be ready to START using.
i just wanted to breed cool cats but im not spending a week to prepare to get started.

Anon, while I agree that having to play the warframe.market game to have enough slots for frames/companions/weapons and now fricking riven mods is bad, waiting 3 days for a frame to be built isn't the end of the world especially with all the shit you can keep farming in the meantime while waiting.

How do I get back into the game bros? Played many years back and when I tried again few months ago it was all too overwhelming and I didn’t know what the frick to do. I was a pleb and only had Rhino/Excaibur unlocked and built tho.
when i was a newbie i had the wiki open in the background at all times and that made things alot more bearable

I think the combat and build autism are both great and fun, and even think it has one of the better balances between f2p and microtransactions. As others have mentioned before me though, the incessant grind required to unlock all those weapons and mods required for its fun features almost make it not worth playing. Perhaps this is to incentivize paying more money, but a lot of this shit is unskippable even with a credit card (mastery requirements & star chart for example). This tedious grind encourages players to blitz and speedrun every mission just to get them over with, because they'll be doing the same one another 30 times that day to get a chance at the drop they're looking for.
Do warframe abilities work on bosses? I'm getting my ass kicked by Protega since the game hoisted a level 1 weapon on me.
i find it weird, and i dont know if its still the case anymore, but so many warframes had like one ability that carried them while the rest of their kit just kinda sucked
banshee for example? her instant knock down is fricking amazing. she has other great stuff in her kit, like her body point crit ability and, while generic, her ult is pretty good too...
but comparing her kit to something like volt? where damn near EVERY ability is fricking great? some frames clearly have better kits

The gameplay is alright but they are masters at designing things which are never truly interconnected. Started with archwing which is now let's be honest dead and buried then railjack where people will only go if they want to get Sevagoth so they can helminth his ability and all the meme pseudo open world spaces.
Maybe some people like Duviri, I don't think it's that bad but it's not that good either and you're forced into it if you want to get incarnon weapons...
Also their new engine is still full of bugs for a lot of people and they are hell bent on pushing forward. Each time there is a hotfix the game will automatically switch to new engine and they have already announced they will soon remove the old one while you have people with 40xx cards saying they only overheat in warframe despite capping their framerate...
It had a good run I guess and that's mostly because nothing really tried to compete against it.

There are 2 major issues with Warframe.
1st (that duviri tried to mend) is how fricking impenetrable the game is if you look it from outside.
2nd is not really "updating" the game as a whole but instead updates just add a new thing on top of the pile making the game even more impenetrable. The game could really use bunch of updates where the main goal would be looking back at what they already have and how to improve everything just a little bit. Like just make up a new mission type that gets a variant to all tile and enemy sets or bring Zariman flood and Armageddon missions to rest of the map etc.

Warframe is at its CORE broken, people who say it has good game design on any level are huffing copium.
Any attack an enemy makes can be avoided by a bullejump with infinite stamina. Instant teleportation with complete invulnerability to damage the moment you get the operator. Really the only "challenge" the game will ever be able to present is a gear check and nothing more.
Its at this point no better than a glorified chatroom full of furries collecting cosmetics. Early progression is where you might for one second glimpse what the game used to be like when you actually had to use cover.

Steve designed himself into a corner by making abilities have no cooldowns and removing the stamina bar. Not to mention Warframe wasn't a horde shooter at the start so single target abilities and weapons were actually useful. Then came the genre switch and massive amount of powercreep.
