would have been a better game if it they just expanded on the first act and had all the other acts as optional side lore shit you could unlock

Could have been added to the greats of atmospheric card games if they didn’t completely retcon everything act two and give you a new story, gameplay loot, visual dimension, general atmosphere.
Act three was NOT as good. The mystery had been ruined by that point and you are truly left playing just hoping you will go back to the cool scary monster card game in the cabin.
It was already talked about plenty. Sure, you still see Outer Wilds threads reach bump limit, but Inscryption isn't nearly as good as OW (I still liked it, though).
I will be honest, I skipped the real life footage shit.
Felt like unnecessary nonsense distracting me from the plot, kinda like the Patriot AI nonsense from MGS2
