pipeline extraction is the only actually fun gamemode
I stopped feverishly grinding and doing deep dives after my first prestige and just play pipeline now, if there isn't a pipeline mission I close the game
Doretta mode is fun too. Otherwise I'm the same. But EDD is fun for the challenge. I don't mind noobs making it harder.
This is why you need a friend group to play it optimally. Besides most of the approved mods aren't even updated to the current version of the game so you'll never play with randos.
>Besides most of the approved mods aren't even updated to the current version of the game so you'll never play with randos.
Is this why I'm not getting ppl join? The mods work for me, do they disable my games from being public? Frick
And idk why the mods aren't updated anyway, the game gets an update every 2 months.
you're a dumbass
Remember, 'approved mod' means mod that changes the gameplay, and most lobbies and randos searching have it disabled by default.
All the dumb mods that add gnome sounds and farts to things work anywhere.
Mods are pretty fricked still and doing that shit is just going to make it harder for people to join, dipshit.
get some friends
I dont want your adhd zoomed shit. I want comfy cave crawling
call me when mods add more enemy variety
The devs revealed two new enemy things this week. The incoming patch is all about some rival corporation's robots.
good. Now if only they added some variety to mission objectives
Name 1 co-op shooter with good objective variety.
>The incoming patch is all about some rival corporation's robots
Oh no, they've chosen the utter shit route
They're definitely not going to be bipeds, they've already thrown that possibility out the window. So don't worry about that.
So they'll just be robotic bugs?
I mean, maybe, considering how easy it would be to reskin a bug, but the ones they've shown so far look like they hover.
lul another shitter got filtered by EDARs, I'll just enjoy my free EMPs
>The incoming patch is all about some rival corporation's robots.
they are robots yeah, but are they really rival's corp's robots? Didn't see anything about that
I was watching the stream where it got revealed and the devs reacted to someone asking about whether it was a rival corp and the devs responded as follows in a jokey, sarcastic tone: "MMMMmmmmaybe I guess? Who else is gonna make the robots?"
We've seen an automated sentry turret, swarms of flying mini-drones, and just recently this thing.
I'm loving the TV eye. Very creative aesthetic.
Do they actually mine stuff?
All we saw in the clip was the thing ominously floating through the cave. The left end of it was the front. Reminds me of a necron tomb spyder a little. The update is only 2 and a half weeks away anyway so we'll know soon.
I thought the game needed more passive ominous spooky stuff like the brood mothers that just float around and make sound.
What I think the game needs is something the devs were joking about adding in the same stream: picking up maggots and throwing them at each other.
I mean, wouldn't take much effort. Just use the holiday snowball code. Would be hilarious
>Who else is gonna make the robots?
They could be just being cute. They could be DRG-made robots gone wrong. Like more Xynarch suckers making them go looney.
DRG is pretty uncaring and lazy, but even they would probably stop relying on machines once they learn about Xynarch suckers.
Well, sure. But how long were they in operation before they discovered the frickers? Lord knows there's endless BET-C's down there.
Nobody will join a game with 1 guy in it even if there are 3 people waiting
post mod list OP
yes, and?
where exactly does that constituate some sort of argument for anything?
>ruined the game
>wonder why no one wants to play it
Knife ears belong to CoD.
I didn't ruin the game I made it a hell of a lot more fun and faster.
Starship Troopers
Speedster Molly
Minigun carve radius increase
Thickaxe
EPC carve radius increase and hitscan projectiles
Bulk Det infestation
Faster drills
Faster o2 regen
High quality ziplines
Better flares
Swinging grapple for Scout
Unnerfed thorns, upgraded perks
100% encounters (bet-c, korlock, crassus,) (use this sometimes)
Mushroom
Maggot
Don't step on it
I would very much appreciate modded 6-man or higher with scaled enemies, whether by health or numbers, assuming whatever the hell their mod support is doesn't require any effort from those joining
the game is fun in coop for maybe 2hours
after that its so fricking boring
got a trainer to have unlimited ammo and such
>I'm a moron
ok
lrn2read
The game doesn't really pick up until you start getting good overclocks to mess around with.
DRG is unironically the best co-op action game ever created. Even after 3 years of playing, it has yet to get "boring". The gameplay and attitude are just so damn good.
Literally BTFO of all them L4D, PD, KF and whatnot games out there.
eh the gameplay is the same old thing
The gameplay is snappy, satisfying, varied, and very 3-dimensional. One moment it feels like a grand adventure with environmental puzzles, the second it turns into a mixture of Arena Shooters x Starship Troopers.
Making things "faster" is exactly what ruined it.
>varied
how is it varied? all you do is run around search for the same type of shit and use it to buy like 3 upgrades
>how is it varied?
I literally just told you. Are you not paying any attention? You got truly 3D exploration and problem solving and 3D action, all enabling some truly creative tactics and metas to emerge.
Not only do you have four distinct and damn well balanced classes and their plethora of gear / upgrades to choose from, with different setups and team composition altering the gameplay a great deal, but the procedural map generation is damn well made and keeps things somewhat fresh for years to come. The multiple mission types, various mutators and handful of those rarer occurrences mix the deck even more.
>all you do is run around search for the same type of shit
And all you do in your typical CS / CoD / Halo shit is to click on people's avatars for hours to come, in static maps that never change.
Funny of exaggerated triviliazations never really make sense when you start breaking them apart, no?
>You got truly 3D exploration and problem solving and 3D action, all enabling some truly creative tactics and metas to emerge
shill more
Not an argument, and you will never be a woman, Twatter troony.
So you admit you're only attacking it because of assumed marketing on Ganker? Frick off moron.
>Making things "faster" is exactly what ruined it.
Unironically this. I feel bad for the devs. You watch alpha footage and clearly see that the game was meant to be slow with big emphasis on exploration, but community constantly demands the game to be faster and faster and faster, even autists in /coopg/ complain about escort being too long.
The slower pace seems kinda fun in its own way but would probably lose a lot of replayability doing it like that.
>even autists in /coopg/ complain about escort being too long.
I'm baffled by that. Escort is fun as frick. I guess I'm the only one immersed in the setting and atmosphere of it.
The last one I did I got fricking 4 bulk detonators in one run. Shit was intense managing repairing the thing while leading the stupid big frick away.
Same. I found it very comfy and fun.
Name 5 games with fully destructible environments, random generation, wall crawling enemies, tools that help you not just kill but bridge gaps, descend chasms, set up defensive perimeters... etc.
Look, I know you're trying to bait, it's just funny how bad you are at it.
>cheated
>oh it's just so boring.
Your brain is broken.
dumb frick it got boring after 2hours of normal gameplay the same repeating gameplay
not a lot to do
You are probs one of the morons who doesnt know how to read hazard level
Though the devs should've pointed it out in the tutorial
If you only played 2 hours, you didn't nail down the basics even. Just another moron who was eager to hate something before he tried figuring it out.
never got the appeal, bought it during EA, shooting feels unresponsive and unrewarding, movement is awful because it's vertical, RNG generated objective locations are giga cancer, skill system is niche
tried to give it a try, never hooked me and personally a terrible coop game with no real depth
I started it during 2019's E.A., and it instantly hooked me and all my friends.
Claiming it to not have depth and b***hing about verticality is just pants on head moronic.
It's not fun mate, enjoy your dwarf game.
It's one of the most fun and timeless games I've had a joy of experiencing in the past 30 years. Will certainly be enjoying this babe for years to come. We already got a gayman' weekend booked for the next month, when the next big update drops.
I've fricked around with mods but stopped because it's a hassle to download a whole new set and for any that alter weapon mods or equipment it requires you being in the lobby to take advantage of it.
If there was some way to customize loadout upon joining or loadouts that change based on mods it would solve this issue. Or even just dedicated servers would be cool. If there was a Haz 6 CVO server with increased bug cap I'd just play that.
Anyone have any recommendations on who to watch play this?
I feel like this isn't a game where you just watch some IGN video to get a feel for it.
Sounds like I should watch a crew.
Drop a link please?
