I am looking forward to it, but I have 0 plans of discussing it here because there's always a few anons that'll triggered from it simply existing for one petty reason or another and then proceed to derail the thread with their rage.
Best piece of advice I can give is just wait, get it, play it, and never bother talking about it here.

They finished it on their own, and have been working on the 2Ship2Harkinian port for many months. They showed Cremia Ranch loaded in-game back in October.

I'm excited. I heard Star Fox 64 was also decomp'd recently, or is very close to completion. So hypothetically, Majora's Mask, Star Fox 64, and Crash Team Racing could all get PC ports this year.

I haven't replayed the game in a while and have been holding off until the port is done.

Legitimately I can only care so much about this because it's based off the N64 version instead of the (largely) superior 3DS one. As much as Aonuma is usually completely wrong about shit, by and large the major changes were absolutely justified given how rushed and often stupid the OG game was about things. The biggest issue is simply that the original game *wasn't* designed around the player being about to do things like quickly reload from owl statues multiple times, and hence this *limits* the meaningful solution complexity and cleverness of the game's quests (i.e. you mostly just wait around for a given npc in the longer quest lines, because if the game did anything more interesting, it would be too hard to expect the player to work that out in the short time frames you're given via experiment).

They will add in every feature it has from the get go. They are working off of their Ship of Harkinian code, which implemented every fix and more into Ocarina of Time.

        >They will add in every feature it has from the get go.
That's definitely not going to happen, at least initially. Probably the most significant change is the new Bomber's Notebook's functionality, which makes the game a lot more flexible about how it's able to inform you of and keep track of quest information, which involves a whole heap of specific checks and UI functionality that would not be trivial to just add in.

The extremely rigid nature of the OG notebook, where it always forces you to see all of a given character's quest events at once, is one of the biggest mistakes the game made originally. Most of the N64's games significant flaws are things that are basically solved by changing them to be more like the 3DS version, while the few problems that version actually introduces are far more trivial to fix and can just be patched up.

My favorite change was selecting which hour to fast forward to.
