what are the issues? i thought it was well liked.
Most common complaints seem to be grindiness, endgame boredom, lack of character building options and shitty itemization.
That's a lot of serious complains for a beat them all
>grindiness, endgame boredom, lack of character building options
have these people never played a diablo game before?
I haven't played the D4 endgame personally but apparently it doesn't keep people hooked in the way D2 did.
The issue really becomes people playing have builds they may like but they do not crush groups like they did early on. That or they have too many Cooldowns.
So you feel bad for playing something you like.
Unlike in D2 or even D3 up to a point. Both of them you could min max and go faster.
At the same time you could be less efficient and still explode mobs in d2 and d3 just not in d4. That will quickly turn people off.
Let's be honest 90% of the people are nowhere near endgame but enjoy talking like they know shit.
thats funny because the people are not in the endgame think they know better what the endgame should be than the people who are
You forgot level scaling. Itself is a questionable thing to add to your game, but how it's done in D4 is incredibly lazy and poorly done.
I just don't get this stuff to be honest with you. Don't people play these games TOO grind?
What is "endgame boredom", when a game ends just play another one? I was blasting through 4 games a month back in my teen years.
I didn't buy this game just because it doesn't look fun to me but I see people lay out complaints like this and I really don't get it.
I dont know I think people generally don't like to grind. Perhaps higher randomness would offset the tedium a bit, but as far as I can tell D4 is a regression from D2 when it comee to that.
>lack of character building options and shitty itemization
Grindiness I expect from an ARPG, ain't that basically the point of the genre? But without these, grindiness becomes tedium.
>grindiness
>ARPG
so they are just morons
>grindiness
Its a fricking ARPG
>endgame boredom
"I've played 80 hours of this game and its boring now! The game is interesting for ONLY 80 HOURS???? Piece of trash"
>lack of character building options
Extrapolate.
>shitty itemization
"Nooo I dont get legendaries every 5 minutes"
NTA
shitty itemization doesn't mean
>im not getting legendries
it means that gearing for your character would be identical across different classes with very few exceptions. It's almost universal across all classes in d4.
legendaries are shit though, I had a legendary in every slot by like level 46
I'll pick it up in 3 years when it's actually good and for half the price
Seems like the best idea. The game feels so empty now.
Kind of, there is no need to play or watch this game now that the office statue event is over.
Why would you keep playing when only half the progress you made carries over to the new season in 2 weeks?
>On the official forums people are shitting on it 24/7.
Irrelevant
They will still continue to buy blizzard dreck
The wheel turns, unbroken
>People complain that Blizzard is shit and hasn't made a good game since 2004
>Blizzard announces a new game and markets it out the ass
>Everybody buys it and gives them record profits
>People complain that Blizzard is shit and hasn't made a good game since 2004
The only post-2004 Blizzard game I've spent a dime on is Diablo 3. Which I got used on console.

Humans with memes in their homosexual hearts are worse than bots.
We're approaching peak Dead Internet Theory
D3 is better by every metric despite being over a decade older.
>muh development! muh dlcs! muh patches! reeeee!
D3 as it is currently should have been the absolute baseline for D4, but with even more on top and polished to a sheen. They’re making all the same blunders and more. Loot 2.0 is already on the table. They learned absolutely nothing from D3 and have regressed to a laughable point. Even the cinematics are worse. The servers are duct tapped together so the always-online aspect is ridiculous. Every single thing you do in the game is an unfun chore. Statues, side quests, dungeons, they all suck. The fact that the Butcher can spawn in high level nightmare dungeons where you have very limited respawns is just bad. The story is bad. There is exactly 1 memorable soundtrack (Ashava world boss) and that’s it. Build variety is next to nothing. Overall, it’s very poorly made and I’m ashamed to have given Blizzard my money in a naive hope that they wouldn’t frick up after all their other horrible frick ups.
>They learned absolutely nothing from D3
Well yeah, all the people who learned left the company during that decade. Same reason D3 made those mistakes. By the time we reach D5 it'll repeat again.
So we need to bring Dave back?
No, you need to keep an actual dev team together between Diablo games. No sweat, right?
They did between 1 and 2, and Dave was part of that
That was also when Blizzard was a competent company that sold games instead of services.
how do you make a diablo game that's worse than fricking d3? lmao
>1v1ing a white mob takes longer than destroying an entire room because AoE damage isn't making shit constantly go off
is this good game design?
>pvp has gone from spin2win barbs killing you in a few seconds to hammer of the ancient barbs one-shotting you
nerf barb fricking shits
Hows endgame pvp?
