No, but it's still a better game than Ganker contrarians like to say it is.
It completely is Dark Souls 4 though, the name change isn't fooling anyone.
No, it still feels below DS1. It's just too much of a hassle to start a new character and level them up, and many people (like myself) have characters paused either at the end of the game or at ng+ waiting for dlc.
Bloodborne > Dark Souls 1 > Sekiro > Elden Ring > Demon Souls > Dark Souls 3 > Dark Souls 2 SotFS > Dark Souls 2 > Demon Souls demake
Everyone who isn't a nufan loves DS1, but you morons have to stop pretending like it's aged well and isn't worse than DS2 (the game you guys claim is giga horseshit) in so many crucial elements. You're blinded by nostalgia.
is that webm supposed to be bad? hitting quelaag's human body is a hidden weak point and it's rewarding to figure out you can stunlock her there, and manually aiming a spell to do it is challenging.
>Demon's Souls remake is literally the exact same game, other than art direction.
Exactly? Thanks for proving my point I guess.
So if they changed all character to look like Deku from My Hero you would still call it a 10/10 game?
That's not what happened. They made some of the designs worse like flamelurker etc, but in return made the visuals and sounds absolutely incredible. The trade equals out to me. You hate the remake simply because you are a soulless npc incapable of thought, you only do what Ganker tells you to do
Weakspots/Unexplained boss gimmicks are cool and all, but perma-stunlocking a major boss... you're really going to defend that? I'm honestly not surprised
It's really only aged poorly in graphics, the enemy ai/placement/bosses are still pretty alright. DS2 on the other hand is still fine graphically but SOTFS made it miserable to play.
No it aged poorly in gameplay as well. You can run past almost every encounter in the game (fixed in DS2) you can circle strafe and backstab almost literally every enemy in the game (fixed in DS2), almost all of the early game bosses are stupidly simplistic babymode shit, and the games RPG elements/builds are completely unbalanced. If anything I'd say the Graphics are the least aged thing about it, it looks better than DS2 and 3 at times.

List is almost 100% spot on except for the moronic bashing of the demon's souls remake. The inferior art direction is made up for by some of the best graphics and sound design in any game ever made.
>Graphics don't make a game
Demon's Souls remake is literally the exact same game, other than art direction. It literally uses the same code, every bug in the original works in the remake. The ONLY difference is art direction, graphics, and sound, and they added penetrator's armor set and a ring that lets your roll in the swamp.

I think the remake shits all over the ordinal in a bunch of ways and there’s no denying it. You’re effectively arguing “graphics don’t matter” while saying how the game looks matters quite a bit. You’re a moron.

Literally never said that, learn to read
Because that's not fricking true. The second half is still good, only lost izalith and and bed of chaos are actually bad. Mountaintops of the giants and descrated snowfield in Elden Ring are FAR worse than the last half of Dark Souls
The second half of dark souls 1 is a complete travesty though. At least with DS 3, BB and ER they tried their best. BB second half was better
than the first half actually.
your first time playing 8/10
repeat playthroughs 3/10
no one wants to go through that bullshit again compared to replaying dark souls, bb, or even sekiro
I think all this shit talking about the 2nd half of the game distracts from the fact that the only real special part about DS1s first half when compared to the rest of Fromsoftware portolio is the map design. It's not some flawless pinnacle of game design like some of us like to pretend it is, it's literally just a very good map with some cool lore behind it.
It really depends on where you find enjoyment in these games. The dark souls triliogy has a lot more replayablility than Elden Ring and Sekiro because you can do so many unique challenge runs, whereas Elden Ring focussed a lot on the massive immersive world. And Sekiro has a very fluid and unique combat system.
Your favorite game comes from what you value, it's not objective
I'm literally right though, the wow factor is gone if this is your 5th Souls game, Sekiro and Bloodborne still feel somewhat fresh but ER is literally a DaS3 reskin with a horse
Open world was a mistake. I know everyone loved the interconnected nature of Dark Souls 1 but blowing that up to fill an open world was a mistake. I'd rather have a nexus like Demon's Souls but with each area being somewhat larger than to have another open world game.
>getting this mad because someone pointed out the game is fricking soulless
Time and time again Miyazaki gets grand ambitions and then never finishes or fleshes out the game and tells the team to rush out the rest of the world with random bullshit. When the devs learn how to make complete games and come up with new creative elements I will commend them. Until that point I will not gallop my goat through their open fields
I've played and beaten every single one of these games since Demon's Souls back in 2009 and I fricking love Elden Ring. You're a shitstirring homosexual
I just started and it feels kinda overwhelming. There’s all this shit I have to worry about like frickin ash weapon art stuff and crafting and finding keys and all this other shit I don’t care about.
I want to play it like a regular souls game but the whole time I have this feeling like I’m missing out on important side stuff and it’s kinda lame.
Yes, but they fricking crippled the PVP. DS2 did it perfectly by having a covenant zone where you farm each other members and get useful titanites as reward for kills
No, but it's still a better game than Ganker contrarians like to say it is.

k bud
It's really only aged poorly in graphics, the enemy ai/placement/bosses are still pretty alright. DS2 on the other hand is still fine graphically but SOTFS made it miserable to play.
I don't think DS2 is shit and it's slightly better than Elden Ring but it's still very flawed and will never be better than DS1.
Not even close.
Bloodborne > Dark Souls 1 > Sekiro > Elden Ring > Demon Souls > Dark Souls 3 > Dark Souls 2 SotFS > Dark Souls 2 > Demon Souls demake

Graphics don't make a game
The expansion brought it back from the mid second half

No idea why you homosexuals keep ranking ds1 so high when the second part of the game is a complete mess that brings down the whole experience.
Nostalgia glasses I guess.
Because that's not fricking true. The second half is still good, only lost izalith and and bed of chaos are actually bad. Mountaintops of the giants and descrated snowfield in Elden Ring are FAR worse than the last half of Dark Souls
It's shit and dated. Get over it. Crystal caves and catacombs sucked too. Mountaintops is way better than any of those areas.
Aisde from the dlc bosses, the areas and enemies in the dlc were a wet fart.
That's the case for all souls games though. At least DS1 feels linear enough to not get lost in playthroughs and finish it rather easily.
The second half of dark souls 1 is a complete travesty though. At least with DS 3, BB and ER they tried their best. BB second half was better
than the first half actually.
BB and DS1 are glorified tech demos
Youre a glorified tech demon
doesn't even make sense
>Elden Ring > Demon Souls
>Dark Souls 3 > Dark Souls 2
>talking about shit taste when he prefers DS 2 over 3
2gays have terminal shit taste that can never be cured
2 and 3 are the two worst ones but 2 is better than 3
Swap Elden Ring and Sekiro and it's perfect
>Reddit Ring
Go back
Sekiro is the all time best. It made me enjoy the other games less because of how slow and clunky the combat feels in comparison.
Bloodborne and Demons are the best, besides the awful remake.
Yes
your first time playing 8/10
repeat playthroughs 3/10
no one wants to go through that bullshit again compared to replaying dark souls, bb, or even sekiro
>zoomers hate Dark Souls 1 now
What happened?
The clunkiness, ooooh but the clunkiness
Unironically. Fricking jank-ass game.
They finally beat O&S and played the second half of the game
I think all this shit talking about the 2nd half of the game distracts from the fact that the only real special part about DS1s first half when compared to the rest of Fromsoftware portolio is the map design. It's not some flawless pinnacle of game design like some of us like to pretend it is, it's literally just a very good map with some cool lore behind it.
Zoomers hate everything unless some streamer tells them to like something rn
they're baiting to keep up the pretense of ironically defending ds2

no Bloodborne is because of the sidestep, it's certainly the best of the rolly games though, no question
Bloodborne is miles ahead of every other game that ever existed so no
Yeah I sure do love 10 fps cities where the strategy is just dsh forward and mash r1
Dark Souls 2 will always be the best
no that would be
dark souls 2 obviously
it's one of the worst games ever made
DeS, DS2 and Bloodborne are better. But it's pretty close.
>Ganker loves ER so much it becomes the elden ring general for almost 3 months straight
>fast forward to today: it’s shit
lel
Sekiro > DS3 <close to> DS1 > BB > ER > DS2
didnt play DeS
ER > DeS > BB > Sekiro > DS2 > DS1 > DS3
only if you never played a Souls game before, Elden Ring is more of the same, it barely does anything new.
>le true fan
Shazamgay plz
I'm literally right though, the wow factor is gone if this is your 5th Souls game, Sekiro and Bloodborne still feel somewhat fresh but ER is literally a DaS3 reskin with a horse
>I’m literally righ-ACK
>I'm literally right though
I gotta start using this fricking lmao
it would be if they didnt murder the invasion aspect of the game
Open world was a mistake. I know everyone loved the interconnected nature of Dark Souls 1 but blowing that up to fill an open world was a mistake. I'd rather have a nexus like Demon's Souls but with each area being somewhat larger than to have another open world game.
>Empty Ring
No. Should have remade KF4 instead
When are you frickwit trannies going to start getting new material? Say "overtuned" now or "it's no masterpiece"
>getting this mad because someone pointed out the game is fricking soulless
Time and time again Miyazaki gets grand ambitions and then never finishes or fleshes out the game and tells the team to rush out the rest of the world with random bullshit. I wish I could get into the other King's Field games but try as I might 4 is the only one I enjoy. God damn what a good game.
I've played and beaten every single one of these games since Demon's Souls back in 2009 and I fricking love Elden Ring. You're a shitstirring homosexual
Yes
>new player has entered the ring
Whats the best INT spell for trying to take Maliketh down without Summon Ashes?
Carian Slicer with Radagon's idol?
Elden Ring>Dark Souls>Bloodborne>Demons Souls>Dark Souls 2>Dark souls 3
Sekiro is a different game and I couldn't care to buy a Demon's Souls Remaster Machine.
I just started and it feels kinda overwhelming. There’s all this shit I have to worry about like frickin ash weapon art stuff and crafting and finding keys and all this other shit I don’t care about.
I want to play it like a regular souls game but the whole time I have this feeling like I’m missing out on important side stuff and it’s kinda lame.
no dark souls 3 is.
>inb4 le zoomer!!!
Bloodborne is still better
Yes, but they fricking crippled the PVP. DS2 did it perfectly by having a covenant zone where you farm each other members and get useful titanites as reward for kills
Its very good but I think Bloodborne and Sekiro are better
