Fallout 4 is a mediocre game that is only made "playable" if you mod the shit out of it with tons of expansion content and fan-created quests and reworks and just changes to base systems. And even then, it's still not a game you go into expecting to like, play through a plot. It's just a sandbox where you experience different things, shoot things, and loot things, and maybe build things until you get bored.
So now imagine playing Fallout 4, except you trade out the ability to mod it, to console command, and the ability to just ignore the plot and mess around with the world, and you exchange those things for really horrible semi-MMO gameplay that barely functions at the best of times.
76 is better than F4 for just messing around in the world though. Bigger world map with more biomes and tilesets.
It's okay when there are new content to do, but once you're done with them all you do is just log in and do your daily quests and log off.
It could be a long term on and off game for me, but the fact that storage space is very limited is really annoying and the fact that they're selling you the solution for the problem they purposely made is extra scummy.

Playing it. Having fun. But you will only like it if you can stomach looter shooters and shitty monetization. So it definitely isn't for everyone.
I fricking hate games based around season passes and events so much. When I buy a game, I want to play it on terms. I want to be able to set it down when I want to play something else, and pick it back up on my time and have a bunch of content waiting for me. With all these FOMO games, I think "hey, I feel like playing this. I wonder if its had any good updates" and I look it up and it up and its like

I liked it more than 4 tbqhwy. You can get a good 40hrs out of the story without bothering with any of the dailies or mmo shit. The world is better than 4. It's was fine. I used to get fricking trashed on Trulys and play this like 6 hours a night after work with the radio station blasting. Was comfy.
