Why is there studio level lighting on the Steam Deck compared to the flatter and warmer lighting on everyone else in this image? What's up with the harsh contrast in color grading? Do you personally know these people anon? Are you unpopular in your circles?

Why do you care what people who ride on a bus/train with you think of you? You're not going to frick any of them.

      >you're not going to frick any of them
Well definitely not if they see you gaming

Why the frick would you care about what a bunch of "people" you'll never meet or know think of your hobby?

The deck is for playing in bed. And when you're done, you kiss her goodnight and tuck her in.

Stop being a low test homosexual and just do what you want. Who the frick cares what a bunch of losers on the train think anyway? You all don’t have a car, you aren’t in a place to judge eachother.

Almost everyone on the train has a car, that's how we get to the train station.

If you look good you can do whatever you want and get away with it.
If you look like a fat smelly neet, people expect you to play games in public anyway.
Either way, who cares, they'll all be glued to their phones anyway.

I was thinking of getting a chinkshit portable to play RE2 and Super Mario RPG on the train. I still have my ice blue GB that I could play pokemon blue, but I dont want to risk getting culturally enriched over it.

the Steam Deck is so fricking huge people will probably call the cops thinking you’re some kind of terrorist or something

I'm using public transport regularly and I've never not cringend when seeing and adult man with a handheld console.
I dunno why, old hags playing candy crush or 15 year old dweebs playing some gacha shit on their phone is fine, but looking at an adult man with a Switch in his hands ...
But then again I'm a miserable sack of shit so just do what you want to do.

I feel the same way. Something is just off, about a grown man with a switch, even though they could be playing angry birds and it wouldn't confer the same reaction.

Caring what other people think is cringe. Does your commute involve people of crime? That's the deciding factor.

I take the PATH train daily for work and have seen people playing on Switches and Steam Decks.
Nobody gives a shit or will think you're weird.
I'm more worried about having to share a car with the occasional deranged individual or pothead and even that isn't a big deal.

Gaming at all is kind of cringe for anyone over 25. You should have money and better things to do by then.

When you think about it there are really no respectable adults that regularly play video games.

Well if you're under 25 your opinion goes right into the trash. Your move.

I think people who worry about being seen gaming in public are huge homosexuals, and they're usually Ganker virgins who think they need to autismaxx every aspect of their life and *then* women will spontaneously approach them and hand their number

You will never frick random people in public as much as you desparately think one more cold shower or self help podcast is what's going to put you over the edge from looking like a miserable chudBlack person, just play games and quit worrying about this shit have you seen what the average Black personcattle on a plane or something looks like? That's what you're worried about being judged by? Some 400lb ham planet doomscrolling on tik tok for 4 hours?

If you're on a social situation you shouldn't be playing, yeah, otherwise if you're alone then just be yourself.

The Steam Deck would be a perfect device if it wasn't for its shit 55% SRGB Ghosting screen where reds look like orange.

    It's shit.
I don't think there's a single handheld device on the market that is
    >7" 800p
    >OLED
    >Ergonomic
    >Has a trackpad
    >Has a powerful APU

Wait for steam deck 2 if you want a good handheld.
