    No

      >No
So by your definition, the latest game in the series is the best graphically?

        Anonymous

Yeah, if we're going what most people consider the quality of video game graphics by, which is resolution

        Anonymous

No, swsh is better graphically than arceus.
Better graphics doesn't necessarily mean its more appealing. Like look at the horizon zero game dev complaining about how elden ring doesnt even have good graphics but they used all that "better" graphics to depict a woman with a comically exaggerated beard. A high fidelity, ugly beard.
I think the issue is in the interpretation of "better". A better term might be "bigger" as in, AAA games have the biggest graphics, but not necessarily the most appealing.

Yes. Show me an image from any other Pokémon game that even comes close to exuding the amount of pure SOUL and comfiness that this one does.

Yes, and anyone who disagrees is moronic. I'd love to know what the frick Sugimori was thinking and/or smoking when he re-did the official art for Gen 3, because holy fricking shit did he frick up. And of course they used that art for the basis of the 3D models.

Gen 3 is an amazing exercise of fricking up colors.

And the great irony is that Gengar is apparently Sugimori's favorite Pokemon. It makes you wonder if he ever even understood what it was supposed to be. Does he even know how tremendously he ruined it?

Gen 4 uses the Gen 3 colors. The 3D models use the Gen 5 colors which are a little darker.

The 3D models use the Sugimori art colours. That's why Gen 1 and 3 Pokémon are so washed out in the 3D games; they haven't been updated since Sugimori first drew them.

It's not the most technically impressive game but it has most cohesive, aesthetically pleasing and easy on eye style.

Pokemon was made for Gen 2. The advancements people have made in the engine and graphical style, while still staying wiithin system constraints prove this. Someone post Polished Crystal at Sunset.

      that's honestly impressive.

The Pokemon graphics were really good, but the overworld left something to be desired. Crystal should have taken better advantage of the GBC hardware.

    That's a really subjective question.
