this.
undertale got really popular and attracted a lot of annoying fans. those are just the facts. reacting to that shit by saying "frick undertale i hate undertale kill toby fox" is a reaction so immature and moronic that it could only occur naturally in places like kindergarten and the internet. it's like "hating" hirohiko araki because of how annoying the jojo fanbase is, but he's an old japanese man rather than a twentysomething american numale so you wouldn't dare.
undertale was mediocre game but there are more overrated game developers out there (see: yoko taro), and I have heard he actually accepted the feedback and tried to solve the issues on deltarune, so, good for him
>make a good game >people love it a lot >causes five fricking years worth of asshurt on Ganker that will continue into the future indefinitely
no, he's based.
>The Andrew Hussie of the Zoomer generation and babies first CRPG
Yeah he's pretty overrated. He's got talent though.
I think the whole Pacifist/Genocide angle of Undertale is overhyped and a lot of Toby's humor seems to appeal to the Tumblr crowd with how quirky, smug and it comes off -- a bit overbearing.
Personally wish he'd put more detail into his sprite work like pic. ralated, and animate them a bit more. He's shown to animate them well, but only in certain scenarios which seems lazy.
Honestly? No trolling? Yes, absolutely. He's a great writer, and his music is pretty solid, but his game design is nothing particularly noteworthy. I go through Undertale/Deltarune thinking "Wow what an amazing, well rounded experience that understands exactly what its doing and why." But I never think "Wow what amazing gameplay" or "I can't believe he did this with this system", etc. Even narratively, the whole pacifist/genocide division isn't anything special or unique. They're just well written.
Yes, but with the caveat that he's still good at both, he's just not "bigger than Jesus" levels that Undertale's popularity ended up exploding into. He's just a guy that makes quaint indie games.
He will be if you keep giving him attention.
Deltarune will end up being a masterpice. Mark my words
>Is he the most over-hated game developer and music composer ever?
FTFY.
And the answer is yes, at least on Ganker.

Araki didn't tweet about his support for and donations to BLM, hence why I don't hate him.
grass touch it
sex have it

i think the games are nice and all, but the and the overall score is pretty effective.

Why contrariatards have so much need of validation?
He seems like a nice enough guy, and both his games and songs slap hard, but god damn if people don't shut up about him
