FFXIV is one of the best games ever made.
How can FF14 be short gameplay loops when I already got filtered by the boring MMO fetching quests?
>Handful of short go here talk talk talk/gather gather/kill enemy quests >Dungeon/trial duty with queue >Handful of short go here etc. etc. quests
Even crafters and gatherers are the same. Most quests take minutes to do. Trials/duties are the same. Short sequences with loot and generic enemies that do the same things but sometimes with a zesty twist like this one does an AOE or this one has an attack that stuns you.
>Man I just do not have the time, skill, or energy for basketball >I'll do something else >Snk MAAAAAAAAAAN I frickin hate swimmin >nobody should have pools
defeatist mindset from a casual who doesnt like mmos. no, doing 1000 pulls for a boss in a circular instanced arena is not hardcore. killing dragons in everquest is hardcore raiding.
Nobody is forcing anyone to play. The entire premise is false or poorly translated. Dragon's Dogma is full with filler bloat.
I haven't watched the actual video for full context but I assume he's referring to shit like time sensitive content that if you miss it, it's gone forever, thus it does force people to play during times where they may not otherwise want to or have as much time to play. Seems to me the point is "here is the content, play it at your own pace".
because everything is moving to live service shit these days, even single player games, and SE is becoming one of the worst publishers when it comes to that. It may not be news but it's at least affirmation that some devs are still pushing against that mentality and trying to stop it from taking over.
>deletes your house if you unsub for too long >goes back on pre-release statements that 24 man will be a serious raising mode
Thank you yoshi-p. I hope catering to RP trannies was worth shitting on the FF mmo legacy
the house delete time is stupid short for how much a house costs. Apartments last forever and are just barely limited in comparison so I stick with that for now. 20m gil and no intention to buy a house simply because of the short loss time.
When is the last time this has even been true? House demolition was off for a long time during covid and I don't think it's even been on at all in 2022
It's definitely the right approach, but he seems a bit disingenuous about the whole thing when shackles people to a subscription in order to not lose their houses. You might argue that it's their own fault, but when most of the rewards are either glamor or vanity shit for your estate, then it completely defeats the point and apartments, while not being demolished, have really limited space.
It's nearly a necessity considering how in demand housing is coupled with how limited it is. The simple fix is to offer actual instanced housing but they are reluctant to do so for whatever reason.
Yeah, but wards are basically instances already, so they could always just add more. The issue is that no matter how they implement it, more instances would be too heavy on their servers and they can't figure out how to properly fix the game's spaghetti code, so everything they do is always just bandaid over bandaid. I still like the game, but now that the Hydaelin saga is basically over, I wish they'd build a new FF MMO from the ground up instead of sticking to this overly formulaic cycle of workarounds and excuses.
How about making short gameplay loops that are fun?
XIV is literally nothing but short gameplay loops already

How about you not using buzzwords that are gay?
but stay subscribed or else you'll lose your prime real estate!
why do people care about Barbie doll houses so much that game
Not enough bullying
If you dont care about them then why you dont let the gays keep their houses?
at least they want just my money, not *also* my time and effort
Hahahahaha yep. That's his target audience not you.
Was his last game even good?
yes, XIV is great
>95% VN
>5% gameplay
>I didn't play the game, the post
sure buddy
Not at all no. His recent game is made for people who don't play video games.
Not with that get-up, honey.

But that's the standard already. That's how it was in FF15. So how is that news?

He's an MMO oldgays so your zoomer ass calling him a casual is pretty funny.

It's true, WoWgayula.
I hate trooncraft.
XIV is good but nowhere close to the best game ever made you delusional homosexual.

I've listened to Flow Together over 10 times today, Ganker
the song's been stuck in my head all day
Yes. Daily chores in mmos are fricking cancerous.
>45 days no sub
>house is gone
thx yewish-p
Housing demolition has been disabled for awhile now.

Lost my house after I quit in Sbringers because there's only a weeks worth of content every 6 months for me.

Better than what other online games are doing
