I yearn for a 3D action-RPG in the Hollow Knight world with heavy focus on exploration, maybe some survival as well.
Make the areas randomly generated with various biomes, maybe mak ethe enemies at least partially randomly generated as well.

RG is not a hard requirement, but I think it would work for very large landscapes, and could makj ethe enemies more fresh and less predictable.
As for 3D, I just don't think 2D lends itself well to exploration. All throughout HK I wanted to "enter" the decor behind the zones.
Its a extremely mediocre game that would was forgotten a week after release till they announced the DLC the are never releasing because then people would forge about their shitty game again
It's up there. Even if I didn't get the story or the characters at first, I was charmed by the visuals and music at least. I thought it was a reddit game but I had a lot of fun with it, the same kind of raw unfiltered fun I had when playing AM2R in 2016. Small dev teams and studios is where you find the actual passion
