it's another mihoyo game, they're acceptable enough gameplay wise but they're just not worth the time investment in the long run because the company is super stingy and will immediately cave to whatever normie outrage there is about how much skin their characters show. The free 5* they gave out for this game is just a bait and switch to make it seem like they're not gonna pull a genshin.

Damn I love Ruan Mei's legs. It's an alright game, decently pretty and nice to play in short bursts, not really a great game to get super invested in since I rarely play it any longer than an hour.

each limited banner can cost up to $300 for a single copy of the character and you usually need at least 2-3 copies for the character to be good, that's not even mentioning the weapon banner
everyone who spends money on this game is brainwashed and they even have a special brainwashing app where drooling mind-broken simpletons can post screenshots of them getting reasonably lucky (they only spent $800 instead of $1200) and saying 'OMG HOYO IS SOOOO GENEROUS, XUAN XI REI LO MING BAI CAME HOME ^_____^' to trigger the reptile brain of other brainwashed consoomers

That part is blatantly false, even E0 limited units are typically very good, getting more copies would make the game even more mind-numbingly simple, and so far the only egregious LC is Jing Yuan's. Most characters will do maybe 10% less damage with a less optimal 4* LC, but there isn't any current content where that 10% is going to be significant.
Other points are accurate though, you can spend a truckload of money if you don't do dailies or want to pull every single banner

Its alright, the game has more passion in it than Genshin does in any day of the week. While Genshin added literally nothing to its core endgame loop, starrail has already added 3 permanent gamemodes that people are enjoying quite alot so far. The designs are also a cut above everything Genshin has but this might be subjective.

False, almost every design is some recolored design or the same china b***h wearing the same dress except a different color. And that's not even mentioning how the different enemies are just recolors even though they have NOTHING to do with each others

Simulated universe becomes a massive fricking chore after your first month that most people don't bother clearing with how tedious it is. First SU update was huge, second one was a literal rehash of the first but with none of the soul.

Yes, people are enjoying the new endgame modes quite alot, base SU is boring but after they implemented the QoL of G&G and SD providing weekly points there is literally no reason to touch base SU other than farming orbs and links, which you can already get by farming literally any other relic set and scrapping the 4 stars for fragments in order to build what you want, something genshin doesn't have 3 years in

I'm assuming you're talking about Xianzhou characters? then yeah, they are similiar, because they come from the same region and wear the same style of dresses. That being said, compare Kafka to Ruan mei for example, or Jingliu to Fu xuan, they're not as similiar as you shit munching genshin fans scream all the time.

I personally enjoy it, but it's more of a side game kind of deal. You play for a few hours after a big patch to do all the new story content and then just play daily for like 10 minutes once you're established.
I'm pretty burnt out on Genshin, but don't feel the same way about Star Rail.

not bad, its pretty much auto the game. however, late game, the relic system is dogshit and you get bored after not getting the pieces to improve your units so it becomes log in burn stamina then log off till eventually you stop logging in. gameplay is fine otherwise, simulate universe is neat.
the dialgoue is funny, it has nce puzzles and minigames. Everything else is is mediocre
