Is it a smart move to purchase a few 3DS systems and throw a few Pokemon games on each one now so I can resell them next year?

No it's illegal
Untelated but i need some help, my 3ds went to the shitter recently and as i just discovered bank went free i wanted to port my pokemon from moon to home. There are a few problems
>can i just use my cart on another 3ds and port them from there? Or is the save file tied to my sd?
>in the latter's case, do i need to bootstrap the other 3ds too since i did it to mine?
>does home even have a limit to how many pokemon can i keep in? I don't have any switch games to port them in
>can i just use my cart on another 3ds and port them from there? Or is the save file tied to my sd?
Tied to the SD and encrypted based on your 3ds.
I had the same issue and basically said bye bye to many mons I lost(though I do keep a backup of the SD).
>does home even have a limit to how many pokemon can i keep in?
The free version is 30, but the premium has 6000.
Well i guess it's ogre
Unless i can fix my 3ds which i really doubt it's possible, think it's the battery that died because i have the original version since 2011
The save data is on the cartridges if you bought them physically, sd card for digital. Only on switch is the save data on the internal storage
battery for the og is user replaceable anon
if it just doesn't boot at all the system board is probably fricked
I get the turn-on spy on so maybe i can do something
If you have them uploaded to Pokemon Bank and you have a spare 3DS then just call Nintendo and ask them to unlink the NNID they'll ask what happened to your previous 3DS and what games you had on it just for verification after that you should be able to log back in to your NNID after a few days on the new 3DS
no, anyone who cares enough to buy a 3ds after its lifespan ended and support was discontinued will hack it
What's up with Bank being discussed again?
Don't tell me it's going to be free of charge after the Eshop closing.
Yes it is
Say what?
People would rather buy just an empty 3DS and mod it themselves.
Don't listen to these morons. Hacking a 3DS is easy, but to a normie who just wants to play some old Pokemon games, it's extremely intimidating. People will pay stupid money with retro game prices the way they are for a 3DS with all the Pokemon games on it.
I'm pretty sure a normie would rather buy the games physically so they're sure the games work though.
i think a normalgay would more likely just put the roms on their phone
A normalgay is not figuring out DS/3DS emulation and piracy
actually fair point
