I'd say it's ergonomically superior, yeah

i've been using one since 2020 mainly on PC, it's the best controller i've ever had

When will Gulikit release a stick to give it hall effect sticks.

I bought one, but honestly the DS4 is fine if you enjoyed the other dualshocks.

Yes. The Dualsense Edge is even better except for the pricepoint. The battery life is worse but it comes with a long cable, so they just *knew* they fricked up but its a comfy controller, makes the regular PS5 controller feel like a hunk of plastic

Yes, except from the cross, which is completely shit

    good ergonomics
    slightly bigger than ds4
don't bother with wireless just plug it in

The little I've done with mine has been alright.
    Mostly playing TF2 and bomberman

No. It's the first time Sony has had a worse dpad than Xbox, which says a lot.

I went through 3 of these controllers back when I played the skate games and the left joystick would always start drifting

i liked these a lot except for the cheap shoulder buttons. the main buttons could take a lot of punishment, good for platformers and hack slash with lots of repetition. ergnomics were average.

I still rather use DS4 when playing fighting games, coz for some reason dualsense fricks up joints on my middlefingers.
    Otherwise it's better.

For my hands at least, the Dualsense is way more comfortable. It feels much better quality too, DS4 feels like cheap plastic with no weight to it.

  15. 9 months ago
    Anonymous

Yeah, the buttons on it are way quieter than the DS4.

Xbox's d-pad is so fricking annoying loud, I hate xbox controllers so much.

Does the Dual Sense features work on PC games? I saw that it's $50, so I want to try it out.

I've heard that they do, but I don't have any games that specifically have those.

Also whether this is relevant to you or not.
It has a better weight distribution for using Gyro than the PS4 controller.

I prefer the DS4. The buttons on the Dualsense feel glassy, I don't like how the ends of the controller feel like it got cut off instead of being round, and the big thing is the d-pad, the DS4's d-pad was much better. I've been considering getting a Victrix or something just because I want to have a decent controller for playing fighting games on a PS5, but the Dualsense isn't it.

This place is filled with walnut brained idiots. DS4 is significantly better. You morons are just distracted by the jingling keys that are the useless Duelsense features

the DS4 has worse ergonomics and more input lag.
why the frick would you want that.

You think people who prefer the Dualsense haven’t tried the DualShock? Dualshock feels like a piece of plastic in comparison. It’s smaller too

You're kind of going to the other extreme there.

the newest revision is probably the best first patty controller available. the only issue is no aftermarket hall effect sticks yet.
it has the least input lag of any commonly available controller though which is what really matters.

I'd say it's better except the D-Pad. I think the built-in microphone is moronic though.

Ergonomically a bit better and better on battery life iirc but if you actually like the traditional Playstation aesthetics, you won't get them without some pretty intensive controller modding on a Dualsense. Stick with a DS4 or be prepared to wait a couple months for custom buttons off Etsy if, like me, you want a Dualsense in PS1 or PS2 colors (colored buttons and all).

It's really hard to find domed or convex stick-capes for them like the older Dualshocks, too. Maybe I can harvest some from a junk DS or DS2?

How many games actually use the haptic trigger feedback? How much of that's even carried over with PC ports?
I did a playthrough of Astro's at a friend's place, and that shit legit feels amazing. I'm just convinced it'll end up like the tilt function, only used in a couple small segments in first party games and nothing else ever. I'm not even sure if the PS5 controllers keep the gyro that shit's so unused.

I skipped ps4 and cant shake the controllers from ps3 and earlier feel more comfortable.

Controller technology has mostly gotten worse over time. I was at a street fighter tournament the other month and had wired my ps5 into a new setup, but the non-togglable Bluetooth functionality made it so I was controlling a setup 20 feet away from me. Luckily I didn't ruin anybody's match, but that was an absolute joke.
Plus, at EVO grand finals this year one of the competitor's controllers disconnected at the start of one of the matches. That was an utter joke, a controller wired into a console should never ever do that, that's just pathetic.

      Anonymous

Why were you paired to another setup?

        Anonymous

I don't know, I've literally never used the bluetooth part of the controller in my life. I guess jacking the controller into the setup made it auto pair? No matter how you slice it, though, jacking it into a console with a usb-c connector should made it like act a wired controller PERIOD and the fact that it doesn't simply means that controller usage has factually gotten worse since the wired xbox 360 controller days.

It's better simply because its not on the ultra cucked micro-USB connector. Otherwise its not really that different. Start/Select is too fricking tiny though.

I'd say so. The HD rumble and haptic triggers are honestly really good. I wish those two features were available on PC.

Mine just fricking started drifting. Goes away when I restart the ps5 or turn it off but magically comes back on if I put it in rest mode. Any other anons have this problem or know any fixes?
