Yes, it is way better than people make it to be. There used to be regular Planetfall thread here for quite awhile but people just wanted to have AoW4 instead.
>it is if you love civ clones.
Actually this is very inaccurate. Civ is an empire building game and only partly war game. Planetfall is a FULL wargame. The 4X part of Planetfall is solid and very important but all of it ties back to the wargame part.
breddy gud
fun gameplay, unit mods are a great system (bit disappointing they didn't keep them), empire mode is a good idea too
they fricked up the art and design though, most factions look lame
Yeah. Enough interesting until you learning that game, some options to make crazy builds, but in the end you will stuck with unoptimized city management if you want to have high effeciency.
I have like 300 hours in AOW3 but can't get to grips with the mechanics of this. The province system or whatever they were called doesn't make any sense to me.
Was really hoping for a scifi heroes of might and magic game.
The combat in aowpf takes too fricking long because mistakes are too punishing.
Any recs on other games?
>Was really hoping for a scifi heroes of might and magic game.
If you rush tough objectives early to snowball it kind of plays like HOMM3. A proper HOMM clone in a sci-fi setting sounds fantastic though now I want it too.
The art direction is kind of incoherent and sucks for a lot of units/races but overall the game is really fun. It's a lot more lethal and harder to optomize compared to aow3. I wouldn't mind another sci-fi entry as long as it doesnt turn into aow4 slop.
>how is it better than AoW4?
- Planetfall has actual races/factions with actual identities instead of AoW4's build-a-bear faction system.
- Planetfall's campaign is marginally better than AoW4's despite using the same procedurally generated bullshit maps. >Planetfall's Empire Mode is more interesting than AoW4's extremely undercooked Pantheon system.
I liked it
Had fun 2 playthroughs and then got bored
it is if you love civ clones.

These two. Its a great game, I'm currently mad that between desync and crashes and generally annoying reasons I cannot get into AoW4.
>t. 2khours Planetfall.

Way better than you'd expect!
better then aow4 atleast
Amazon feet
also space dwarves are cool
might prove to be the last good AoW
stop doomposting

what is this english
If you can't recognize, you should leave that board and back to school.
>Enough interesting until you learning that game
>English
What confused you?
Based uncompromising ESL moron
How would you say it correctly?
I don't know but I don't even understand what you were trying to say in the first place. This isn't a case of bad grammar.
As i already said, you need back to school.
English please
I enjoyed it. Pretty solid 7.5/10
We should have flags on v boards
Different from the mainline AoW series, but good. Better than expected honestly. The unit modder gives some sweet versatility to your armies.

Is AOW3 worth playing today? Thought on AOW4?
Aow4s combat is better, sieges in particular
Everything else though...
>Aow4s combat is better
No it's just memebloat of buffs and debuffs and units don't turn when flanked
>sieges in particular
I hekin love not being able to take enemy city the moment i see it because ummm walls magical prevent you from attacking ok???
it's all been downhill since aow3
inb4 deranged shadow magic gays
It needs the expansions and DLC to be a complete game. The vanilla game is very lacking without them.
Great strategy game. One of best in decade. I had much better fun from playing it than AoW4 (which is good game too tbh)
Decent but could be better, if they take feedback from this and make a sequel it could be good
>could be better
so the same as literally every game ever made.

Redpill me on this game, how is it better than AoW4?

That's about it.
it also has a unit designer
You can also play space necromancers
play aow3 instead
already did, go away
>i'm a drooling moron please spoonfeed me basic info
lol
