This is the last good monster hunter game before the series began its "appeal to a wider audience" spiral where the game was less about skill execution and more about leveling up equipment and generally being easier to play.

This is going to be a terrible thread whether you intended it or not, but on the 5% chance you were serious:
4U and World play very little alike aside from 'draw weapon, hit monster, carve scale'.
It's very obviously worth playing, despite its flaws (something every MonHun has a dozen of)

Pretty much every MH is different enough to be worth playing. Gen 1 may be the only one the fans would say is safe to skip.
i play both because its comfy as frick
i have generations ultimate but never played it since i feel iffy about hunter arts, played a bit of freedom unite as well and that was also comfy

this has got to be one of the only series where i sometimes see morons disregard the older games because the newer games have the same monsters/equipment. theres more to these games than the fricking monsters you hunt you goddamn homosexual
4U is the best.

4U is bad because it's a game designed for a full sized controller shoehorned onto a system with only 2 shoulder buttons and 1 analog stick.
