It's non stop fun but I got filtered at the second encounter of these three, where they all come at you at once instead of one at a time.

Because that is a final challenge in an optional challenge run being done in as safe a way as possible, there are literally no other scenarios where you fight 8 elites at once.
So it's a poorly designed game, got you.
I don't think it appropriate to judge a game by someone trying to do a no damage challenge

I played it all the way through for the first time recently. It is definitely a fun game, but it's got some level of low quality that holds it back from being great. I think if the game was remade today, it'd be the definitive version. But, no way would it survive in today's political climate.

It's my favorite game of all time. For a very niche audience of action gamers it's nearly flawless. For everyone else it's an absurd and obtuse nightmare.
