I think a big point early on was that he had made the original version of the game in javascript since that was all he knew and the tinybuild guy was going to rewrite a lot of it into C#, which he couldn't understand. That and also obviously there are multiple ways to code the same thing that both technically work, but one will be more optimal than the other. Like saying "I want this value to be 2" and "This value cannot be anything that isn't 2" both mean the same thing, but obviously the first one makes more sense.

Any IDE will let you right-click or hit a function key to look at the methods originate or how they all link together, unless it's from an object-oriented language to procedural with only experience in either you should be able to parse it easily enough even if it's C to Java.

The game will never come out. Crowdfunded game are incredibly hit or miss, and adding to that potential for frickup is someone who doesn't know how to program properly and has awful time management. And that's assuming the kickstarter will even raise enough money. Alex is probably going to set a 100,000 dollar goal for the game, and with all the negative publicity, nobody wants to give him money. This leaves his "loyal" fanbase which, granted, aren't kids anymore and they now probably have money (Maybe that's why the game hasn't come out kek). But even his patreon is a paltry sum compared to what he once had. Even quadrupling the number of patrons he has means that each person would have to put down at least 47 dollars. But wait, there's more! Even if the goal was 30,000 dollars and we double his patron number, each person would have to pledge 28 dollars minimum in order for it to be funded. Thus, the game won't reach any crowdfunding goal unless he uses indiegogo flexible funding, which wouldn't be surprising. I was in middle school when this game was the shit. i always thought code would either just work, or not work, so if he had a working game theres no way he could get alien language back when someone just cleaned it up
I think a big point early on was that he had made the original version of the game in javascript since that was all he knew and the tinybuild guy was going to rewrite a lot of it into C#, which he couldn't understand. That and also obviously there are multiple ways to code the same thing that both technically work, but one will be more optimal than the other. Like saying "I want this value to be 2" and "This value cannot be anything that isn't 2" both mean the same thing, but obviously the first one makes more sense.

Any IDE will let you right-click or hit a function key to look at the methods originate or how they all link together, unless it's from an object-oriented language to procedural with only experience in either you should be able to parse it easily enough even if it's C to Java.

The premise, sure. Yanderes, love rivals and puzzle murder gameplay together is a good working idea.
It's just, trusting him to finish it or looking at the early footage and thinking it already didn't have long to go to be finished was still too optimistic even at the time to jump into jump into the hype with both feet. The game will never come out. Crowdfunded game are incredibly hit or miss, and adding to that potential for frickup is someone who doesn't know how to program properly and has awful time management. And that's assuming the kickstarter will even raise enough money. Alex is probably going to set a 100,000 dollar goal for the game, and with all the negative publicity, nobody wants to give him money. This leaves his "loyal" fanbase which, granted, aren't kids anymore and they now probably have money (Maybe that's why the game hasn't come out kek). But even his patreon is a paltry sum compared to what he once had. Even quadrupling the number of patrons he has means that each person would have to put down at least 47 dollars. But wait, there's more! Even if the goal was 30,000 dollars and we double his patron number, each person would have to pledge 28 dollars minimum in order for it to be funded. Thus, the game won't reach any crowdfunding goal unless he uses indiegogo flexible funding, which wouldn't be surprising. I was in middle school when this game was the shit. Now I'm 21 years old, And after all that time, it's the same shitty unity 3d phone tier game.
