I thought so as well. I loved larping as a travelling merchant, buying low and selling high but at some point the prices just get fricked. You can make a good living by selling mid tier shit like iron and silver but if you try to start buying up israeliteelry and furs and shit, the prices just get fricked world wide and you're stuck with selling them for minimal profit at most, which makes no sense
Same scenario as Project Zomboid. Expecting community college tier amateurs to perform like professionals is stupid.
They have everyone’s money already they don’t care lol, why would they, and they have enough shills who tow the line of “well SOME stuff is better and I HAD FUN so just buy it OK? It’s just BAD FAITH TROLLS who criticize it” to where it’s still chugging along just fine
>Is it good
Only if you add Bannerkings + Calradia Expanded Kingdoms (+ Open Source Armory but that's required in CEK)
Optional but recommended is Fourberie but it's OP as frick if you don't configure it properly
I fricking HATE SMITHONG!!!!!!!!
I HABE TO SPEND 1TEN MINUTES IN EVERY TOWN CRAFTING 6 WEAPONS .
SOMEONE WANTS A SWORD!?!?!
GOTTA SIFT THROUGH 100 SWORD BLADES AND 100 HANDLES
WANNA MAKE A PIKE!?!??!
YOU ONLY HAVE ONE HANDLE THAT IS STOPPING YOU FROM MAKING THE LOCAL HAPPY
I FRICKING HATE SMITHING
Pro tip: the requirements are fixed, not random. Meaning if someone wants a tier 6 2handed sword, it's the exact same requirement every time, not random ones. That means you can just memorize the 2 handed sword they request and then do it in 3 seconds the next time it comes up. The 2handed sword worth 100k and the 2 handed polearm worth 80k are the only ones I go for because I have them memorized and can do them in 3 seconds
The 2 handed sword is a tier 4 blade in the third row, the second tier 2 guard, and then just adjust the size of the blade until it's all the requirements. Don't even have to change the handle or pommel and it's the same every time. That's the only one you need to memorize because it's worth so much every other request is a waste of time. The only other big one is a 2 handed polearm that requires swing damage (theres a swing damage request and a thrust damage request. Swing damage is worth like 80k and thrust is worth like 4k for some reason) and it's the smaller tier 4 voulge head (there's 2) i forget which handle, and then the guard is one of the flags that makes it the correct length
Fun fact, you don't even need to bother making the materials either
You can just melt throwing daggers, in fact the highest tier one is pretty cheap in shops and give you 1 of every metal types
Yeah pugios are the best way to get materials. Don't even bother with the other factions daggers, just do a pugio run through all the empire towns when you run out
I really, really hate the time period they chose. It is the most boring, ugly period by far and honestly I'd rather preferred they just chose a classic roman period rather than the brown skidmark that is the inbetween of roman history and high to late middle ages.
it has nice looking armor and the lighting in the snow really captures that cold wet feeling.
as for the gameplay eh I honestly don't know what to say.
>as for the gameplay eh I honestly don't know what to say
It's just your standard combat from the other games with a tiny bit more polish... Also now you don't shout like a moron when you shield bash like they did in warband with the ebin vikings cum tu town expansion.
I dislike the art design in this game. Some armor sets look ok but the overall look of characters really reminds me of cell phone games. I wish they went with a more grounded/sharp look.
I think the battle/siege gameplay is great but quests are very very bland. This game needed individual relations with lords and some chained quests or something. Have lords seek you out if they want help so the world feels a little bit alive. You have all this potential to make quests that weaken cities by luring out guards to a nearby village, or take up the cause for a claimant, plot a coup to overthrow a ruler, frame a competing nobleman etc. But nothing like that was implemented when last I played and all the quests are kill/capture x/bring x item there.
This is a small list of lords with the Presence perk that I sometimes just make an army to boost low security in a town.
Is this the same for other playthroughs and does anyone else have a list for something?
>Ganker still seething about bannerlord
it's been good since day one, you just got filtered (as evidenced by there being no legitimate arguments against it)
Did they figure out a way to stop having lords come at you with full armies five minutes after you beat them over and over again? I started killing them because it was total war hardest difficulty of cheese by the ai. Putting of them prison only works for a few minutes and then they escape
Whenever I play Warband I have fun up until the point a king makes me a vassal at which point it feels like progression slows down to a crawl. Is there anything I can do to make the midgame more exciting? Also, what's the best vanilla+ mod? Dickplomacy?
It took like a decade for warband to get good mods done after the game was "finished" and new patches were just minor bugfixes.
Is bonerlord even out of early access yet?
It's riddled with questionable design decisions that will never be fixed. >why can't I change my companions formations? >why can't I change any formations at all outside of combat? >why do I have to go to every town I own individually to manage them? >why can't I queue the same building twice for constructing the next tier? >why can't I filter troops? >why do I have to spam click to smith charcoal? >why is army ai so bad? >why can't I give more direct orders to my vassals during wartime? >why would I bother marrying off female clan members? >why are some perks completely useless for the main character? >why are some skills easy to level and some impossible? >why do character traits have a negligible effect on gameplay?
The list goes on and on and on.
No at it will never be good or even finished.
the economy is so fricking stupid. ruined the game for me.

The "realistic" economy that they promised for Bannerlord was a selling point for me. What happened to it?
better base game than warband currently
warband with mods mogs as usual
No. Dell'arte still isn't out
It isn't. I can't believe Talesworlds fumbled the ball so hard with this one.
Same scenario as Project Zomboid. Expecting community college tier amateurs to perform like professionals is stupid.

You're an actual newbie, then. Not trying to insult you or anything, but vanilla and native were a janky bug-ridden mess.
They still haven't added things they promised, it's been 4 years.
Wait until the Sengoku Jidai mod comes out
>Is it good
Only if you add Bannerkings + Calradia Expanded Kingdoms (+ Open Source Armory but that's required in CEK)

Nope. The only thing the that makes it fun is the mod where everyone is a big titty girl but that’s only fun for like an hour
I fricking HATE SMITHONG!!!!!!!!

this, smithing is tedious because parts availability is so lopsided.
>Makes $15,000,000 in six months
Yeah. You also become besties with everyone on the map.
But you still only knew how to make entry-level clubs for blunt weapons.

Thanks, I will have to remember that until they 'fix' it. For swords I usually just give them some junk so their request respawns.

Umm, sweetie, you're aware that it isn't a historical game, right? There's no such thing as Rome in Calradia.
Ah, excuse me, le nebulous empireTM
They really fricked the UI up. I tried it again last month and went back to playing Warband
the overall design looks like a f2p mobile game for some reason
The character models are so fricking ugly its insane, looks worse than sims 4 somehow
yes
i get tired of the battles, i wish the game was a RTS
Sit back using formations and commands and it is an RTS.
i usually do but the soldiers can still be pretty moronic. I should probably just give up and go back to Crusader Kings

its fun
most people will never be happy
Waiting for Shokuho
Same. It made me start playing Shogun 2 again while I wait.

The diplomacy alone is complete dogshit
and a step back from the first game. The actual combat is fine to me
Did they figure out a way to stop having lords come at you with full armies five minutes after you beat them over and over again? I started killing them because it was total war hardest difficulty of cheese by the ai. Putting of them prison only works for a few minutes and then they escape
yes
people forget how barebones vanilla warband is
My Onii-chan married a child.
i like the game of thrones mod but its too easy to meta-game and rush a dragon
The only issue i have with the game is that you can wipe a 1000 man army and they'll recruit all those people back within 10 minutes.

>Is bonerlord even out of early access yet?
It is as finished as Minecraft when it got "The End" and got out of early access.
