is it just me or does every Xbox game release half baked these days?
I know they're trying to keep up with Sony's output but you can't keep releasing games half finished like this
I fear for Starfield...

you can thank game pass. Can't expect quality if the sub count is under 500 million
Every game release is half baked these days
>Splitscreen delay
Happened with Halo, now Forza. Just need Gears 6 to complete a xbox flagship curse.

you missed the big one, Series X is missing out on Baldurs Gate 3 because Series S can’t run splitscreen co-op…Series Xisters are FUMING
Is it a hardware issue?
>Is it a hardware issue?
I assume its something to do with the Series S amount of RAM and how it’s allocated, Xbox really cut corners to deliver a budget console. unfortunately they marketed it as ‘Series X-lite’ so when something doesn’t downscale the plebs get irate
Basically BG3 doesnt have enough ram for local splitscreen which allows two players to be in completely different areas of the map and do completely different things at the same time. They can get it to work but they need time. Since Starfield is coming out as a Xbox exclusive and they know how the game is gonna do badly against it, they moved the date forward on PC and plan to release BG3 with the same date as starfield on PS5.
They dont have enough manpower to release on all platforms at the same time so they're taking their time to release it later on Xbox when the coast is clear.
>Since Starfield is coming out as a Xbox exclusive
uh, its on PC sweaty, just like BG3 isn’t a ‘timed exclusive’ on ps5, stop moving goalposts
It's a Samsung TV execlusive. No console required.
Yeah. It can barely run on gtx 970, and xbox series s is comparable to 1060 in performance? I have no idea how they're going to get splitscreen running on it. I think they'll just have to bite the bullet and cut the splitscreen mode from series s release.
What would have happened if they included Splitscreen and it looked and ran like rancid shit like Gran Turismo 7's splitscreen?
Holy shit what were Polyphony thinking. It looks and runs awful even on PS5
spectator mode is the only one that matters.
splitscreen is gay for a "sim"
racing with AI in MP in a "sim" no thanks
>keep up with Sony's output
What output?
Goy Pass. Why put in effort?
its because as much as people like to meme about it
they really shifted all of their focus to the activision blizzard shitshow
The S is even holding 1st party studios back
remind me again how much Microsoft is valued at?
remind me again, how much did Microsoft just pay to acquire ActivisionBlizzard?
remind me again, aren’t Microsoft a legitimate tech-wing of the US Government, involved in R&D and endless defense contracts out the ass?
remind me again, how the frick can they keep cutting corners? is Gamepass to blame? Series S? did Sony do this?
Series S most likely. Every game released from Microsoft is required to run on series S no matter what hence why they keep releasing games that will get "fixed" later on.
Gotta release on gamepass so games can't be that expensive to make anymore.
Here's your splitscreen bro
The game is incredibly feature rich I can tell you didn't even bother watching the stream. Naturally in a development cycle you prioritise things over others. GT7 is the biggest rival to this franchise and has got a ton of feature updates since launch but wheres the outrage that they didn't launch with all of them. We've got to a point where xbox can't do literally anything without being criticised. I remember playstation fanboys complaining about forza horizon 5 playing a video in the main menu instead of having real time graphics and saying it was a downgrade. Like what the frick why do playstation fans b***h about literally anything xbox does?
>Sony's output
What output?
Don't have to have a splitscreen mode if you don't release any games
>I fear for Starfield
why? Microsoft are so confident they want you playing it everywhere, no problem if you don’t have an Xbox
prease undarustando, we smaru indy companie nandeska
It's not just Xbox, it's most AAA games. They're more expensive to make than ever, take longer to make than ever, yet somehow end up having less features than the games before them. I have no idea how this is sustainable.
You say this as if Sony doesn't also constantly put out half-baked games.
The last splitscreen i've play on a racing game was the recent GT. Shit was dog shit honestly. Somehow splitscreen is just a hard thing to shove into these games
