Too claustrophobic for my taste, and not a fan of the whole "minecraft" to progress/climb thing going on.

It's not bloatware and I like just running around shooting bugs. The dev team is a massive group of gays but they do okay now and then. Season-disabling was a stupid concept they did not execute well and that's probably the biggest foul I can give them game-wise. I've gotten used to fighting rockpox bugs so I don't really hate them as much as I did early on.
I don't have anything meaningful to grind anymore, I just like joining shitshow missions and dancing with bugs. People get wrapped up in the grind mentality and turn into sweaty MMO players sometimes.
troony propaganda shit stays on discord and anybody too gay to play with advertises themselves pretty clearly with level requirements and "trans rights" server names. I don't join gays and everything turns out pretty smooth usually. Can count the bad experiences on one hand.

It's a coop game and it's only fun with friends but the lack of variety will get you bored in about 40 hours and whether you keep playing or not will depend on your friends making it bearable.

It has also become peak reddit and was infiltrated by discord trannies since it is after all a non competitive game with an extremely low skill floor and ceiling as you can see here

Then stuff like abandoning the game for some roguelike, adding the "you're so wholesome and valid!" voicelines so every ping is a gamble and happened and I lost interest in ever coming back. Helldivers 2 is a GAAS and has nprotect, not interested either

Shit like the robots and playing space janny with infested zones and bugs for a while tends to wear thin quick. Sometimes, you get moments like a Driller disconnecting near the end of a Deep Dive and now you and the others have to dig a tunnel with a Low 02 modifier on Refinery. It's the spontaneous plans to fix a bad situation with the destructible environments that make DRG shine for me.
DRG does downtime better imo, by pacing out waves and rest times. Helldivers 2 always pushes you to flee from a fight because you'll run out of ammo since the waves can be infinite. The game also pushes you to immediatly extract once you finish all main map objectives, since more waves start spawning

If you have it, scorcher can melt them on their weakpoint with 1 magazine. If not, orbital laser or railcannon will take them out, I think spear does too.

It used to be but patch by patch it's been eroding. Should've left it at 1.0, or even some EA version when it was less quirky and more dark.
If Helldivers 2 had classes like medic or heavy weapons that changed the strategems and gave you different abilities then it would be better than DRG.
Why do you need classes when you can just build whatever you want from the weapon, armor, and stratagem options?
