The game was fully playable on launch on pc. Anything game-breaking was exceedingly rare. Seeing one missing face texture or a weird collision in a full-playthrough is not ''unplayable''. You type like a redditor, try thinking for yourself before repeating garbage talking points.

> Here is the cure V but now you re a glowy npc and everybody hates you cause you said youre out for one motnh not two years have fun with Black folk assaulting you powerless in night city
If the writing requires the player character to make moronic decisions without player input, NPCs to act out of character and ignores much of the worldbuilding in order to force a "sad ending" then, yes, I hate it.
523miles better than desperately forced soul tranime, I'd have hated it to death no matter what form of media it comes out in, frick you imaish hiroyuki, you should burned to death just like Kyoto Animation, what a talentless hack. frick you
Shut the frick up you fricking moron. Better "forced soul" than "forced pretentious elitism." No one thinks you're more frickable because you said anime was bad online.
>save songbird and send her to the moon >don't fear the reaper >send Johnny off with Alt and destroy MIkoshi as he wants >Go to the Crystal Palace and live my last 6 months full of adventure and hope, trying to find a cure
Nothing comes close.
This, PL at least proved that a random cure for V can literally just pop up out of nowhere, so they've got a non-0% chance of actually saving themselves in the legend/nomad endings.
it ranges from ok - good now
I currently give it a 7 out of 10, interesting story and interactions from time to time but the gameplay is really mediocre
As I said the game is ok and even good at times but the gameplay is really one of its weakest parts. I don't know what 'sandboxy' gameplay means but I'm playing a katana-wielding netrunner on hard difficulty, I'm constantly throwing out quickhacks and dashing all over the place, and while it was fun at first, the level scaling really takes its toll after a while and makes it seem like I'm progressing at a snail's pace damage and character wise, It REALLY detracts from all the fun.
I have a tier 5 katana and gun but my techdeck is at 4 since I can't really afford to upgrade it since tier 5's are INCREDIBLY expensive. Should probably just save up some crafting components though.
gameplay is actually one of the strongest parts
You have incredible mobility, guns are all great, theres quickhacks, options for melee only builds, or just avoid combat and do stealth.
>You have incredible mobility, guns are all great, theres quickhacks, options for melee only builds, or just avoid combat and do stealth.
You have a million options and all of them get boring after 5 minutes because the gameplay is shallow garbage made by morons trying to make the watchdawgz/farcry flipper baby before unisoft themselves do it.
>katana-wielding netrunner
use the johny mneumonic homage whip weapon instead - they can apply nethacks on impact.
katana is only fun if you go all body/reflexes.
game def encourages you to specialise in only one path and one weapon type now.
netrunner is for stealth builds not melee builds.
Netrunner is magic spells, it works with anything.
I hack them with contagion or cripple movement, dash in and take them down nicely with a revolver.
The AI is dumb so as long as you keep dashing and jumping they never hit you
Gameplay unironically the strongest part. But you have to play on Hard or Very Hard to make cyberware and leveling impactful. The game on normal mode plays itself
I just bought it on sale a couple of weeks ago. It's alright and there are a lot of gamehours in it but I'm not blown away. The world is very immersive and the missions are great but its really just another reskinned open world loot collector
>how you say it
The people shitting on games here aint eloquent or anything. It will call it garbage and move on.
Then when some like the game the morons Legion comes, mass reply and calls you shill.
>vast majority of Internet loves it >but not here we're special
Ganker isnt a secret club. Hell, you didnt even need to log-in or pay a sub.
Anyone can come here and shitpost. Stop taking opinions from here as Bible text.
Even /vg or /rpg have better opinions than this wojack-shithole.
I'm on my first playthrough of the game right now. it's not an internet opinion I'm just disappointed with what was hyped vs what it is. Sure its fun but 2 years post-launch it still crashes regularly on console. the story is good but there's nothing unique or groundbreaking about it. These RPGs are a dime a dozen these days and it's
getting old. Everything in the game still feels very surface level, and the attempts at making it more immersive ie romance options or the fixers just make it seem so much shallower.
I never paid any attention to the pre-release hype and basically knew nothing about the gameplay. Played it for the first time when 2.0 came out and loved it
also you should have probably downloaded the steam version instead, don't know about anyone else but when I tried to install mods on the GOG version that shit kept crashing for some reason, I think it was because it needed the RED launcher or some shit but I never installed it. The steam version works fine without it.
in terms of gameplay it‘s the disabled child of borderlands, dying light and nu-doom, a janky mess basically. it can be fun if you don’t think too much about it. it‘s great if you just want to experience the main mission and side quests. I wouldn’t pay the full price though
Automatic Junk Scrapper is probably the most essential mod and really the only one you need everything else is probably just miscellaneous like texture swaps and shit
Junk scrapper
Cyber Engine Tweaks
redscript
red4ext
CODEWARE
Archive XL
Tweak XL
Materials and Texture Override (for modded clothing)
Equipment Ex (expanded clothing system so you can do some neat combinations not possible in vanilla)
Ripperdeck (change out cyberware without a ripperdoc)
The mod that fixes those perks from skill progression not actually giving you bonuses in 2.01

Why? I can understand the coomer mods, like ok, people want to see their fantasy in the game. Any good mod adding extra stuff/expanding on the world is a positive. But, >a junk scrapper
really? You guys can't just skip useless loot? Or can't you sell it all at once? What's your fricking problem even? Devs add something to the game, a mod essentialy removes it. what the frick.
Same with the >Ripperdeck (change out cyberware without a ripperdoc)
I can't even. You're so lazy, adhd and aids ridden, in such a degenerate junkie crave for instant gratification, so that you're willing to skip on a part of the game? You do undestand, that just as any other shop, docs also serve as a part of lore/exploration/immersion in the game, right?
You know what, maybe all the devs in the future should just remove fun little stuff in the games. Give these gays all stats, all levels, all equipment, right fricking away. Don't make them move, make enemies come to them. All they want is press the left mouse button and see enemies drop. Remove inventory, remove lore, remove resources, remove everything, but the most basic ass b***h combat for these drooling mongs.
TL;DR: You morons are the reason videogames in general suck massive dick in 2023.
>I can't even. You're so lazy, adhd and aids ridden, in such a degenerate junkie crave for instant gratification
because none of these mechanics do anything but make you spend time doing routine crap,
>because none of these mechanics do anything
the add a lot to the immersion and player choice. They expand the world by being a part of it, with dialogue and flavor text. They're good from the standpoint of the game design. >mechanics do anything but make you spend time doing routine crap
Playing videogames is spending time doing crap, if you wish. But, good videogames are great for escapism.
They're not mechanics. You can play through the entire game without picking up a single piece of junk and just fine.
Ripperdocs, well, if you want to visit one every 10 levels or so, that's fine. Why do you even need to swap out your cyber layout so often? You don't.
proving what? that you have adhd and ocd, so you can't skip a pickupable piece of shit without a mental breakdown?
Yes, it is player choice. You choose whether you want to pick up crap or visit a ripperdoc. One can easily go for the first 10(or more) levels without visiting them once. Even on the hard difficulty.
Why do you even want to switch up your cyberware all the time? You didn't answer this question. My best bet is, that you want to trivialize the game, to the point of not making any of your choices influence anything in the game. at all.
In other words you want to have legs contribute to netrunning during a mission, but they you remember that you should have installed a double jump instead. So you switch it out on the fly, instead of having to deal with your own choices.
Did you give yourself 20 on each stat and maxxed out all the perk trees with the cheat engine too? I know you did. homosexual.
Even if I don't use those mods I can see the appeal. Junk scrapping being automatically done is nice because you aren't sitting there holding z on each individual item to get the materials for crafting or upgrading. Not to mention since they sell for frick all its not worth picking them up if you juat plan to sell them. The swapping out implants would let you on the fly change your play style depending on the mission you are running without having to save and reload or drop everything and find a doc.
I agree these things add immersion but what is also nice is quality of life things, like bulk scrapping of items. Personally I don't use them but I get the appeal.
>The swapping out implants would let you on the fly change your play style depending on the mission you are running without having to save and reload or drop everything and find a doc.
Thank you. I just fricking kneeeew it. Lame ass degenerate spastics can't make the right choices and don't want to lose to a videogame, because they've fricked up. Boohoo, morons. >I agree these things add immersion but what is also nice is quality of life things, like bulk scrapping of items. Personally I don't use them but I get the appeal.
If one is to use them, one essentialy kills every last bit of choices, however meaningful, that the game gives you.
Degenerate gayyymers blow my mind up, anon. First they b***h about their not being any rpg in rpg genre. And then even about no meaningful choices in looter-shooters like cyberpunk 2077. Whenever presented with a choice one, they choose NOT to make one. The mental illness clearly overshadows the cognitive dissonance in those heads. I'll repeat myself:
morons like that is the reason videogames suck dick in 2023. And they will continue to suck, as long as those morons are making the games or are being heard by and listened to by any devs.
There's no real reason to swap out parts apart from the boxing matches.
They're all clearly suited to certain builds.
Maybe you would swap out optical camo when it's not a stealth mission but that just seems like a waste of time for the difference it would make
cyberpunk was never bad, just unoptimized. that's fixed now and and game itself is fine
but it promised too much and delivered on almost nothing
if you go in without knowing what they promised or any knowledge of the cyberpunk lore, it's a 9/10 easily. it drops to a 6/10 once you realize what we could have gotten.
>if you go in without knowing what they promised or any knowledge of the cyberpunk lore >or any knowledge of the cyberpunk lore
It's the greatest love letter ever to all things cyberpunk. What're you on about?
I think it's still a pretty horrible game, it never had anything to do with bugs or glitches or missing promised features, the core of the game just rubs me the wrong way, it just feels wrong and broken, like it's all barely held together and if you do something the devs didn't want you to do the game is just gonna shit itself, the gameplay is bland and uninteresting too, the only interesting ability you have is to slow down time and it's basically mandatory on higher difficulties because the enemies have so much HP you need as much time as you can to get close to them in order to shred their massive HP bars as fast as possible before your matrix time runs out and you get destroyed, it's so mindless
i only use the akira bike because it does an akira slide every time you change direction, which means you can actually turn without first slowing down to a crawl
If you have never paid any attention to the whole marketing campaign or the list of cut features you will probably like it a whole lot. But i made the mistake of following the development, the marketing and gobbled up basically every single interview, demo and promo screenshot since the initial announcement of fat frick pondsmith walking and talking so the game they shown, teased and promised would be a 101 on a 100 point scale while the game they delivered, even with all the patches and updates today, is at best a 60. So to me, they will never be able to truly deliver the REAL Cyberpunk 2077.
The main story is a CoD "cinematic experience"
The open world tries to be a GTA but fails at basic sandbox stuff. It looks much nicer than GTA6 would ever look tho
Thats some big words keanu chungus only the city design its remaeksble unless you try to jump woth cheats and see how many roofs you can stand and not clip to hell
played 100h+ when it first came out, it was fine then, encountered a few bugs but they got fixed during my playtime
i think it is even better now, but i aint buying the expansion pack for now, definitely in the future and will do another playthrough, i still remember most of the story so it would not be nearly as satisfying to replay currently
>i still remember most of the story so it would not be nearly as satisfying to replay currently
the dlc bypasses the main story after a certain point and is completely new. also they added a lot of context sensitive dialog.
Don't bother. It's been shit since they decided to abandon third-person. Imagine what could've been if they had stuck to their guns, we could've had a real competitor to GTA.
It's not bad, but not good either. In its current state, a solid 5-6/10 depending on if it's to your taste. You can tell with the quality of the DLC gigs and such that the base game was really unfinished.
its been good since 1.6, the changes with 2.0 are welcome as well.
The writing in the game has always been some of the best in gaming history, it was just obscured by the specks of game breaking shit
it's ok now, it scratches the "open world RPG" itch better than fricking starfield at least
I'd recommend using a mod to disable skill check scaling however, this shit is moronic
It's even worse. There is level scaling now, so it's a perfect no fun allowed game. It's still a linear shooter with dialogues that are 99% flavor. It looks nice, but performance is even worse than in the release. It's still pretty game with a nice main story and some cool side missions, but it's hardly fixed. Didn't play the expansion though, so I don't know if it brings any improvements to the core game. After the shitshow that is 2.0 I refuse to pay for it more than the price of a sack of potatoes.
The 2.0 update actually made the game buggier and run worse than previous updates. But the content is good. Don't become a federal government sell out.
This mess is a 5 max. It's pretty good if you like to make wallpapers tho. Oh and the game still has A LOT of bugs like in the release if you are a third worlder with no SSD
very fun now, and mostly functional. Get ready to reload saves and experience jank though, mostly functional doesn't mean optimal. The game is still buggy as frick.
I've been playing it on PC since launch and thought it was initially serviceable-to-ropey in terms of game design, but now I actually love it since the 2.0 update.
>perk tree reworked so that it has less highly conditional stat increases and more proper mechanics (eg, air dashing, slowdown while aiming rifles, additional status effects for some attacks, ability to block bullets with swords, etc) >cyberware reworked. More of the conditional stat increases are there, but you have a lot of them and they swap out so it works better. All of the armour is there too, but now you need to balance it against your capacity. It's also upgradable now. >clothes are purely cosmetic (bar a couple of items that have small stat boosts) >car combat is in there but, idk, hasn't proven to be all that amazing. You can unlock the ability to hack cars, and after some upgrades can make vehicles self-destruct which >hacking is WAY better. Rather than being a long range, wall penetrating, totally silent, instant death sniper with effectively infinite ammo from the get go, it has been nerfed and rebalanced so that hacking can be traced and wall penetrating effects are held behind upgrades and are conditional. It's now highly difficult to purely hack a group of enemies to death and will likely augment other abilities >grenades and health items are on a cooldown so you can't just spam them any more
>enemy types are actually notable now. The guy with the dash moves will actually use them and force you to deal with it up close, while the guy with the sniper or machine gun will force you into cover, etc. They also know how to use grenades and how to fall back from your attacks. Enemy netrunners are also more common and can relay attacks through their comrades, on top of doing a variety of hacks on you. More intelligent overall too. >crafting is streamlined, mods are permanent per gun, only iconic weapons can be upgraded, looting new guns is important
The things I don't like/things that are still "issues": >food vendors and medicine vendors (and hacking vendors somewhat) are still pointless. The DLC has every food and medicine vendor have one item that gives a small permanent stat boost which makes them all worth visiting, so I wish they'd done that with the base game. >cops are there now but they've been of little impact. They'll be set off by some really stupid shit like a ped walking into your car, but they're easy to lose. They've been a minor annoyance the times it's happened right as I'm trying to get to a mission. >crafting is streamlined, sure, but now you have the problem of having loads of useless crafting items in the latter parts of the game. Crafting them up into better tiers is tedious and mods like Auto Scrapper should probably be in the base game if you want to craft. Likewise, you can't just buy crafting items any more, which becomes annoying. >there aren't many new Quickhacks and you similarly wind up with TONNES of hack crafting components if you hack terminals a lot like I do. You can break the economy by just crafting loads of Cyberpsychosis hacks and selling them. >lots of cool mission-specific areas, especially in Dogtown, are locked off after the mission is over. Which is sad because I'd like to just hang out in these places. >Lacks any sort of recruitable partner AIs like hireable mercs or robots, which exists as mods. >There are still a grand total of 4 hookers, which is bizarre. >Minimap can still be a pain to read accurately when the GPS trail is off by a few pixels, especially on the overpass.
Took a while to get used to Hands' new voice, but he ended up being a bretty cool character.
>crafting is streamlined, mods are permanent per gun, only iconic weapons can be upgraded, looting new guns is important
Crafting should never have been there to start with, but the loot system was a product of its era.
Yeah, I liked his old funny voice but they came up with a cooler character. >crafting
I think the point of crafting was to have some sort of Techie build, but the new skill tree does away with it and you're just not a Techie at all. IMO if would have been better to have you craft more things, like car mods, robots, cyberware, shit for your apartments, etc.
Took a while to get used to Hands' new voice, but he ended up being a bretty cool character.
>crafting is streamlined, mods are permanent per gun, only iconic weapons can be upgraded, looting new guns is important
Crafting should never have been there to start with, but the loot system was a product of its era.
I fricking hate the new crafting system because of the "only can upgrade iconics" thing. Between that and iconics now being unmoddable it means I just cannot make weapons to the exact specifications I want. No, if I want the actual weapon I want, I need to fricking ditch all iconics, craft the mods I want to their maximum tier, then just fricking run around all of Night City over and over checking every store hoping to frick that I get the 0.001% chance that one of them happens to be selling a Tier 5++ version of the exact gun I want and that it's got enough mod slots for what I want to add.
I played it a little bit at launch but made a fresh save and started over after the 2.0 patch and I genuinely really love it.
It's still very much one of those open world do blips on the map and follow a pretty linear story type of games but I think it's one of the best in that style.
Certainly beats out something like Spider-Man PS4 where everything is so boring and safe that the game itself feels like it has no identity, but I still think Ghost of Tsushima is the peak of that type of game.
So far the game has been carried totally by it's story, style, and immersion and I find myself wanting to come back home each day and get further in but I haven't really felt lots going on gameplay wise so far.
I'm about 15 hours in, did the Panam missions, just did the quest where you rig the float with Takemura and I've just been using stealth, quick hacks, and guns I found and it's fine but not anything too in depth. I could still be very early on in the game and haven't done too much side content, I'm still running all the starting cyberware and have been too broke to even get anything so far. I know you can do some crazy shit later on, I've watched my friend running a bullet time cyber samurai and has been playing through the game like Katana Zero.
So far though, I haven't really felt super challenged, like I should be paying major attention to my stats, and just been able to cover shoot and stealth through fights. Haven't really felt too challenged over my 15 hours so far.
after having it on PS5 for over a year I finally decided to start playing it too, after watching Edge runners because I need to destroy that fricker Adam Smasher.
Any cold ER references on the main game?
My biggest problem with the Cyberpunk, is that V can't watch/use BDs outside of campaign bullshit. Dunno why they'd cut this feature from the game, it was the most important one.
that's what I said when I first found it lmao.
And the crazy shit about it is the AI voice lines sounds exactly like him with a TINY bit of hiccups.
Now I just need a mod that adds an AI girlfriend in the apartments.
The 3D model mod is a bit older and supposedly has been out since 2021 but I never noticed it.

Can the militech blackwall deck instakill adam smasher?
It was never "garbage" but it's not "fixed" either. Much like Nu-male Sky, the core issues with the game are entirely unfixable.
It's a very impressive product when it comes to production values. Those are, for once, not wasted, and Night City might just be the single prettiest place in all of gaming.
The sad part is how much of a downgrade this game is when it comes to the writing when compared to Witcher 3.
Most (if not all) of the character fricking suck. Impossible to connect with ANY of them. The dialog is awful. The writing vacillates between corny/saccharine and corny/melodramatic.
There's a lot to shit on but this is the one thing that's really upsetting. I'm basically forcing myself to sit through the boring ass side-quests and it's getting harder and harder.
>it would still be a mediocre game at best imo
which equals to an amazing game in the 2023 aaa slop videogame bullshit. It isn't the player's fault, that ea, blizzard, ubisoft, and all the rest of them, can't create even a mediocre game in 2023.
as someone who never got into it at launch and bought it in July....

amazingly, even after a year, white men have not had enough control over Red to cover for israelites like Adam Bodarski's incompetence, so even at patch 1.6 there is >crashing on load >freezing on title screen >save file corruption >quest-breaking bugs
It's the most piece-of-shit rpg I have ever had the misfortune of trying. Even eurojank like Orcs and Humans was more polished.
I wonder how garbage it really was because the update really didn't change much. I mean yeah revamping the entire perk system is big but I'm still playing the same type of character and enjoying the ecosystem known as Night City.
It was legitimately one of the most overblown criticized game of all time.
Night city itself is an incredible achievement of environment art. The gameplay is fun and dynamic, the music is incredible.
To the extent it suffer from woke writing (it doesn't too much in today's context), it actually make sense in the setting. The character are well written and feel real.
It's also the closest thing you will find as a open-world immersive first person RPG outside of Bethesda, which is very rare in itself, with the added bonus of it being well-written. Finally it's genuinely a beautiful game. Up there with RDR 2 even 3 years later.
It a great game, CDPR's best imo. You should at least try it.
it's ok, you should try it
go for it
it was never garbage
Ehhh. I love the game and even I'll admit the game released in a completely unplayable "garbage" state
Shit the frick up consolecuck freak.
Don't own a console. Played on pc
The game was fully playable on launch on pc. Anything game-breaking was exceedingly rare. Seeing one missing face texture or a weird collision in a full-playthrough is not ''unplayable''. You type like a redditor, try thinking for yourself before repeating garbage talking points.

The gameplay is you being creative, since is sandboxy.
Having fun depends of you.
>sandboxy
its not
It kinda is. You have tons of options, most of which play differently.
Are you upgrading the cyberware and guns?
Also the goons from the dlc are toughter to phisical-damage.
Right now implaying Doom-build but Hack-ninja is tempting me for female-V playtrought.
>You have incredible mobility, guns are all great, theres quickhacks, options for melee only builds, or just avoid combat and do stealth.

>katana-wielding netrunner
use the johny mneumonic homage whip weapon instead - they can apply nethacks on impact.
katana is only fun if you go all body/reflexes.
game def encourages you to specialise in only one path and one weapon type now.
netrunner is for stealth builds not melee builds.
Netrunner is magic spells, it works with anything.
I hack them with contagion or cripple movement, dash in and take them down nicely with a revolver.
The AI is dumb so as long as you keep dashing and jumping they never hit you
Average no fun haver
I'm doing a katana/netrunner build and i'm having a blast
Gameplay unironically the strongest part. But you have to play on Hard or Very Hard to make cyberware and leveling impactful. The game on normal mode plays itself
>The gameplay is you being creative
Crysis did it far better and actually had a proper physics engine.
Do it. Dive deep into every quest n side quest and dlc. Easy 70 to 100hrs of gametime if you don't rush through things
Edgerunner anime is good too.
>Edgerunner anime is good too.
It's alright plot wise, but the animation is terrible.
Unironically really good now.
Soundtrack is amazing. Just play the base game + phantom liberty. It's an amazing ride
it's the most advanced fps game created so far. it still mogs new releases
Just play it or are you afraid of some fun?
It's a solid story FPS with open world GTA nonsense between missions. After 2.0 and Phantom Liberty it's one of my favourite recent games.
Its meh and is nowhere near the product that was hyped. The recent dlc was poorly written.
pretty fun now
I just bought it on sale a couple of weeks ago. It's alright and there are a lot of gamehours in it but I'm not blown away. The world is very immersive and the missions are great but its really just another reskinned open world loot collector
It's literally the same game if you played it on PC when it released
It's mostly the same, but the difference in combat between then and now is very noticeable.
RX 5700XT here. Have had multiple crashes, and one of them was so bad that I had to reinstall Adrenaline.
try it dont buy it
It’s the exact inverse of a Bethesda game, the main story is the most interesting. Most of the open world stuff is mediocre apart from police chases.
>if [anon] says [game good], *call shill*
Npc mentality.
It's about how you say it.
>how you say it
The people shitting on games here aint eloquent or anything. It will call it garbage and move on.
Then when some like the game the morons Legion comes, mass reply and calls you shill.
its not nearly as good as this thread is hyping it to be
>vast majority of Internet loves it
>but not here we're special
Damn, must've struck a nerve. Gomen gomen...
>NOOOOOO DON'T PLAY THE GAME YOU HAVE TO BE A BUZZKILL LIKE ME NOOOOOO DON'T ENJOY IT STOOOOOP
I never paid any attention to the pre-release hype and basically knew nothing about the gameplay. Played it for the first time when 2.0 came out and loved it
>implying a company would bother to pay people to shill a game released years ago
That's not how marketing works.
And yet, they bothered to make a whole anime about it (and it worked).
We need more marketing like that for games. Also, antimarketing exist.
They bother to pay for keanu chungus and idris elba for a fricking dlc with lot of cgi marketing
I hate V so much and this character is ruining the game for me, it would be so much better if he didn't talk at least
There's a mod for that. Not sure how it works outside choices.
Its fricking unstable and can destroy your amd driver https://youtu.be/zHZyeI1ipdg?si=v89ykScxyFeO4EcM
>and can destroy your amd driver
like what?
>t. 6800XT with 50 hours of gameplay and no crashes
My radeon 7 is fricked up
I'd tell you if internet wasn't filled with leechers.
>pirating the GOG version when you can just download the installer for free
for what purpose
Enjoy your rusky ripped game file
>GOG torrent
QRD?
gog-games
I'm feeling fricking generous:
https://gog-games.to/
But a torrent is more convenient than direct downloads, specially for big files.
Feel free not to use it then.
also you should have probably downloaded the steam version instead, don't know about anyone else but when I tried to install mods on the GOG version that shit kept crashing for some reason, I think it was because it needed the RED launcher or some shit but I never installed it. The steam version works fine without it.
Wow, I didn't know about this. I got Phantom Liberty from cs.rin.ru.
are you poor?
Dont bother, you will never get anything out of talking with pirates
in terms of gameplay it‘s the disabled child of borderlands, dying light and nu-doom, a janky mess basically. it can be fun if you don’t think too much about it. it‘s great if you just want to experience the main mission and side quests. I wouldn’t pay the full price though
Its pretty good, they fixed/improved a ton of shit in the game and the new DLC is pretty interesting (though the new ending is pretty disappointing)
They dont improve a shit if you compare to 1.6
any essential mods?
Its not a bethesda title, doesnt need any mods to be playable.
Automatic Junk Scrapper is probably the most essential mod and really the only one you need everything else is probably just miscellaneous like texture swaps and shit
Expanded cyberware and swap without needing ripperdocs its so annoying and time consuming
Junk scrapper
Cyber Engine Tweaks
redscript
red4ext
CODEWARE
Archive XL
Tweak XL
Materials and Texture Override (for modded clothing)
Equipment Ex (expanded clothing system so you can do some neat combinations not possible in vanilla)
Ripperdeck (change out cyberware without a ripperdoc)
The mod that fixes those perks from skill progression not actually giving you bonuses in 2.01
Why? I can understand the coomer mods, like ok, people want to see their fantasy in the game. Any good mod adding extra stuff/expanding on the world is a positive. But,
>a junk scrapper
really? You guys can't just skip useless loot? Or can't you sell it all at once? What's your fricking problem even? Devs add something to the game, a mod essentialy removes it. what the frick.
Same with the
>Ripperdeck (change out cyberware without a ripperdoc)
You don't.
>player choice
>They're not mechanics. You can play through the entire game without picking up a single piece of junk and just fine.
proving my point there
proving what? that you have adhd and ocd, so you can't skip a pickupable piece of shit without a mental breakdown?
And they will continue to suck, as long as those morons are making the games or are being heard by and listened to by any devs.
bait or just autistic?
There's no real reason to swap out parts apart from the boxing matches.
They're all clearly suited to certain builds.
Maybe you would swap out optical camo when it's not a stealth mission but that just seems like a waste of time for the difference it would make
Johnny Silverhand alternate appearance with original hair mod
why can't I use one of these as my own character? It would be sick.
I think it was planned, but they spent all their money fixing the game.
imagine if the game was actual complete at launch. so much wasted potential. Instead we get 2.0 (actually 1.0) and 1 (one) dlc.
You know whats more funny? redengine is in a polish dumpster like luminous engine
No in idris elba
yup they mention space stations too many times for that shit to not show up in dlc - it was probably cancelled.
cyberpunk was never bad, just unoptimized. that's fixed now and and game itself is fine
but it promised too much and delivered on almost nothing
if you go in without knowing what they promised or any knowledge of the cyberpunk lore, it's a 9/10 easily. it drops to a 6/10 once you realize what we could have gotten.
>if you go in without knowing what they promised or any knowledge of the cyberpunk lore
>or any knowledge of the cyberpunk lore
>Bikes still handle like absolute garbage
Does no one on the dev team know how to ride a bike or what holy shit
1.6 bikes were fine
bikes are fine, all of them just handle like big beefy touring bikes even if the models imply they should handle like groms.
i only use the akira bike because it does an akira slide every time you change direction, which means you can actually turn without first slowing down to a crawl
Bikes are fine, you just drive like a moron
Its ok. Really buggy tho
Thats some big words keanu chungus only the city design its remaeksble unless you try to jump woth cheats and see how many roofs you can stand and not clip to hell
remarkable*
played 100h+ when it first came out, it was fine then, encountered a few bugs but they got fixed during my playtime
i think it is even better now, but i aint buying the expansion pack for now, definitely in the future and will do another playthrough, i still remember most of the story so it would not be nearly as satisfying to replay currently
>i still remember most of the story so it would not be nearly as satisfying to replay currently
the dlc bypasses the main story after a certain point and is completely new. also they added a lot of context sensitive dialog.
it isn't like running the game again
Don't bother. It's been shit since they decided to abandon third-person. Imagine what could've been if they had stuck to their guns, we could've had a real competitor to GTA.
they literally added tpp in the 2.0 you dumbass troony
that is actual jank garbage
it's still garbage, play starfield instead.
Brainrot
It's not bad, but not good either. In its current state, a solid 5-6/10 depending on if it's to your taste. You can tell with the quality of the DLC gigs and such that the base game was really unfinished.
its been good since 1.6, the changes with 2.0 are welcome as well.
The writing in the game has always been some of the best in gaming history, it was just obscured by the specks of game breaking shit
Not fricking welcome go shoot an assault rifle until you cant breath out of stmina and your arms are fricked up by recoil irl
>The writing in the game has always been some of the best in gaming history
Instead of outlevelling every enemy after 10 hours and one shooting everything, now every enemy takes 3 to 4 headsets to kill.
did the baby try to play on medium instead of the gaming journalist difficulty? The whining is understandable then.
it's ok now, it scratches the "open world RPG" itch better than fricking starfield at least
I'd recommend using a mod to disable skill check scaling however, this shit is moronic
I would liked ryan as johnny atleast it match hair colour
Yes it's still shit
The bugs were never the problem
>is it still garbage after all the updates?
yes
Yes the Ganker thread with 47 IPs in it is hot real estate for marketing teams
It's one of the best games of all time. Once you finish it, you will be sad that it's over.
I've been playing it on PC since launch and thought it was initially serviceable-to-ropey in terms of game design, but now I actually love it since the 2.0 update.
>perk tree reworked so that it has less highly conditional stat increases and more proper mechanics (eg, air dashing, slowdown while aiming rifles, additional status effects for some attacks, ability to block bullets with swords, etc)
>cyberware reworked. More of the conditional stat increases are there, but you have a lot of them and they swap out so it works better. All of the armour is there too, but now you need to balance it against your capacity. It's also upgradable now.
>clothes are purely cosmetic (bar a couple of items that have small stat boosts)
>car combat is in there but, idk, hasn't proven to be all that amazing. You can unlock the ability to hack cars, and after some upgrades can make vehicles self-destruct which
>hacking is WAY better. Rather than being a long range, wall penetrating, totally silent, instant death sniper with effectively infinite ammo from the get go, it has been nerfed and rebalanced so that hacking can be traced and wall penetrating effects are held behind upgrades and are conditional. It's now highly difficult to purely hack a group of enemies to death and will likely augment other abilities
>grenades and health items are on a cooldown so you can't just spam them any more
>enemy types are actually notable now.
Dogtown is fricking sick too.
Took a while to get used to Hands' new voice, but he ended up being a bretty cool character.
>crafting is streamlined, mods are permanent per gun, only iconic weapons can be upgraded, looting new guns is important
Crafting should never have been there to start with, but the loot system was a product of its era.
Yeah Hands is cool, having fixers like him, Rogue, and Wakako actually somewhat involved in main quest content makes the world feel more real.
The things I don't like/things that are still "issues":
>food vendors and medicine vendors (and hacking vendors somewhat) are still pointless.
Yeah, it's pretty gay.
her wreath thing is cool but I hate how wearing basically any hat item totally fricks up V's hairstyle even if you're wearing it short.
Some dude made a mod for that.
dang, they did, nice.
Nah, they engoodened the game. Go for it.
It's the same game with most of the shit fixed. It was mediocre at launch and it's mediocre now
Even when it was at its worst, it was still better than most games on the market. Now it's one of the best games there is.
>it was still better than most games on the market.
Play something not made by ubigays
After you finished PL what game are you looking at next?
Alan wake 2 is still couple weeks away.
Im checking out Disco elysium
Gonna do two more runthroughs (non completionist) just to try out a potential revolver/katana build and then a netrunner/tech weapon build.
Its still inferior copy of the GTAV. With enticing aesthetics (only reason to give game try).
As for versions 1.0>2.0>piss>3.0
lmao I love how this entire post is basically entirely incomprehensible, the grammar too
gtagays are truly braindead
It's the same game just runs slightly better now
still no flying cars. ofcourse it garbage
after having it on PS5 for over a year I finally decided to start playing it too, after watching Edge runners because I need to destroy that fricker Adam Smasher.
Any cold ER references on the main game?
It's still a shitty looter shooter
Doesn't matter if shills were hired to say otherwise
avoid automatic power weapons if you dont want to spend your entire magazine against one single enemy and make the game feel horrid
My biggest problem with the Cyberpunk, is that V can't watch/use BDs outside of campaign bullshit. Dunno why they'd cut this feature from the game, it was the most important one.
>buying something specific
>time to skip days for 20 minutes
If you want a specific piece of something that bad then just spawn it with the item codes.
Play it.
I recommend getting the DLC too. Adds a lot to the game
It's good now because I downloaded the ryan gosling VA mod and the ryan gosling 3D model replacer.
homie what
that's what I said when I first found it lmao.
And the crazy shit about it is the AI voice lines sounds exactly like him with a TINY bit of hiccups.
Now I just need a mod that adds an AI girlfriend in the apartments.
The 3D model mod is a bit older and supposedly has been out since 2021 but I never noticed it.
What is the point of using iconic weapons when this exist?
Wow 20% extra damage. Incredible
>Silenced smart weapon
>Explosive poison rounds that increase crit damage and also turn those who die from it into acid pools
>swords that make you leap to enemies with optical camo or just on their own
Y-yeah. Mods are so cool r-right?
can it one shot red skulls? no? pass
>synapse burnouts you
Wow. Better not use anything else I guess.
did you even try using guns or are you playing menu cp77? most iconics barely get the same amount of damage of a non modded generic gun
>OMG YOU EVEN USE GUNS!? M-MENU 2-0777!!!!
You sound like a gigantic homosexual.
chill choom, why did i even trigger you?
Because you're a homosexual.
>OMG CAN YOU ONE SHOT! UMM I USE DA BIGGEST GUN DA GUNS ONE SHOT OMMGG! WHY USE ANYTHING ELSE THAN ONE SHOT GUNZ ONESHOT
have a nice day troony.
because i don't like spongy enemies therefore why would i not stack % damage
Play on easy then troon.
The game gives a solution to sponge enemies though? Why would I play on easy
>keeps complaining
git gud
Complaining?
Git gud troon.
I don't think this game was meant to be hard with all the slow mo it gives the player
>game isn't hard
>keeps complaining about bullet sponges
lmao troon
I'm not complaining there are no sponges in my game
Sounds like classic troony cope and seethe.
If you think the game is hard because of enemies being sponge I'm not the one who needs to get good
the game isn't hard it's just bad
Who hurt you?
>spend 3 full assault rifle mag on a beefed up shotgun wielding enemy
No, thanks. Sniper it is, I'm not getting close to that thing to melee it
Can the militech blackwall deck instakill adam smasher?
Enemies are still bullet sponges, so yeah.
I honestly can't believe people like cyberpunk
like even if it were guaranteed to never have a single bug it would still be a mediocre game at best imo
>it would still be a mediocre game at best imo
which equals to an amazing game in the 2023 aaa slop videogame bullshit. It isn't the player's fault, that ea, blizzard, ubisoft, and all the rest of them, can't create even a mediocre game in 2023.
I've been wanting to try it but it seems like it has lots of bullet sponge enemies based on the gameplay I've seen which I cannot stand.
almost every enemy gets one shotted if you play your build right, only the big cyborgs/turrets/gigasoldiers take a lot of shots
Can shops sell 5++ weapons or just 5+?
as someone who never got into it at launch and bought it in July....
its fricking Borderlands but perfected
give it a try, I for one got hooked as hell to it
they sell 5++ if you're lvl51-60
I'm 60, still no 5++. frick me
wierd
check on Dogtown weapon sellers, they should have 5++
its like what does op mean? despite forever becoming a massive homosexual
why are Ganker ops so worried about being made fun of for enjoyin shit
in which case, you'll always be made fun of here
unless its a game about letting you have obscure waifus or some shit
>is it still garbage after all the updates?
YES
amazingly, even after a year, white men have not had enough control over Red to cover for israelites like Adam Bodarski's incompetence, so even at patch 1.6 there is
>crashing on load
>freezing on title screen
>save file corruption
>quest-breaking bugs
It's the most piece-of-shit rpg I have ever had the misfortune of trying. Even eurojank like Orcs and Humans was more polished.
I wonder how garbage it really was because the update really didn't change much. I mean yeah revamping the entire perk system is big but I'm still playing the same type of character and enjoying the ecosystem known as Night City.
easily game of the decade
