>3 years >Repeating shit in the four areas they already released
Sega is moronic. They keep thinking raising the cap will keep players, but the game is bleeding out so hard that PSE burst grinding isn't enough to keep people scratching.
it easily could have been folded into PSO2 as a sandbox map you access from the counter but with the HD graphics while the old parts of PSO2 get updated over time (Like Warframe). They easily could have kept everyone happy but instead put electrified barbed wire on a noose and jumped.
It's funny you say that because I clicked here just to say it's the same as Relink but poorly made. Functionally there's almost no difference except that Relinks bosses are better >Grind for nothing is the only activity >Chink materials drop RNG >Ugly outdated character models >Spam the same moves forever >No actual mechanics just dps checks >Story made to be forgotten
Polish goes a long way but the standard for content depth is unforgivable in both games.
relink needs a sequel or a few more years. in addition to the things you mentioned, >shit preset characters >no customization >censored
not what i wanted to see after endless delays
They made it somehow worse in every way compared to the original.
It's not that bad if you wanna spend money on weebshit and leave your character emoting in town 24/7 like a moron
It was likely less about "corporate watchdog" and more about "the guy keeps producing lolcow content because he won't stop sperging out every time something happens." He was notorious for spamming his videos and samegayging himself for hundreds of posts. It was normal to see NGS threads with 50 posts and 5 IPs. I just assume any posts talking about the guy positively are him at this point.

He sounds based.
Interesting. Never knew Gwiz or whoever was so obsessed about someone who decided to criticise the product that they enjoy.
On one hand I like the game for allowing (or rather preying on) the community of coomers to exist. On the other hand the game itself is the lowest effort skinnerbox imaginable, and I can't force myself to play it anymore.
>Interesting. Never knew Gwiz or whoever was so obsessed about someone who decided to criticise the product that they enjoy.
Gwiz doesn't care about the game. They care about their reputation. I wonder how he he'll fight back against Turkey Tom.
It amazes me that I probably know who this gwiz homosexual is. He was an autist from PSU and got hammered by the clementine moderators multiple times because hes quite literally INCAPABLE of having accountability for his actions in his mind. If its actually him and he troon'd out that'd make my LIFETIME because they were a MASSIVELY auti moron who made peoples lives miserable.
And now he "work" for SEGA after helping fricking up Global and shove his shitty "music" while using nepotism to allow his futagay buddy to add in his "artwork" in game. I always wonder if PSO2 get EOS and a private server goes up, would the person behind that server autoban those homosexuals on sight. On the side note, its funny that in this video (don't bother hitting play), there use to be a comment with nothing but everyone showing their disdain on the CM and Keroppi disable the comment section.

>excessive amount of premium cosmetic scratches focused on feminine clothing and casual wear
I really don't get it. Most of the clothing is either for women or for women repurposed into twinkwear. It's like they're forcing you to be a femboy
>Most of the clothing is either for women or for women repurposed into twinkwear. It's like they're forcing you to be a femboy
You're right anon. Next cosmetic SG scratch after this will add another outfit based on Aina's new look. Of course that's also got femboy version.
The fact that they all-hands for a MINORITY MODE because some people b***hed in a survey (that they no longer do when it was proven Japan is more pissed than Global [still pissed but less so] about the state of NGS) for it proves Sega can't live service and the faster they just go back to PSO1 style "here is what you get, we'll work on an expansion" than these weekly scratches, the better the game would turn out.
Sadly, they need the whales to continue to scratch to invest... whatever... in anything BUT PSO2.
I assumed it was because it was too late to cancel it. Had no backup plan or something. Which is dumb in itself, but it's not like this is the first time sega's been utterly unable to read the room.
The modding discord found Ruroni Kenshin stuff, but yeah, it probably would have set off a firestorm for contract stuff if Sega pulled out at the literal last minute because Nijisanji ENG torched itself with napalm.
The ranger/gunner expansion was the worst class expansion. The classes improved less than when 2.0 rolled around. It's depressing, because the classes are effectively dead in the water. It was a shitty update.
>They're still reusing Halpha instead of designing new maps
Could they be any more lazy?
We're forever stuck on that planet because of the cheap open world implementation inspired by Breath of The Wild back then.
hey but gunner is slightly less dead weight now that it can refresh some of the pp bar for the party
except they lose so much dps in order to give a substantial amount of pp back that they may as well not be doing it, and nobody notices they get pp back anyway since they may as well do the same rotation they always do without paying attention
>kill blaze shot 2 >make launcher PA a lot more useful >meme beam is now the best dps again
I consider it an improvement.

Its meant for the meme beam spammer. They certainly notice the PP gain and can hold down their meme beam button forever, dishing out way more damage than most classes other than Slayers.
>there's nothing to do with recently added high level weapons and units other than spamming recycled limited time quests and limited time urgent quests
supposedly you would get this gear sorted out over time because shit like lux/exdi and presets cannot be farmed in a day unless you're already sitting on a pile of money. the roadmap points out when they expect you to be done with this (1-2 months when the "new quest type" and the 4-man drop, maybe even earlier depending on how strict the crimson realm boss dps check is)
but given the confused reactions they should just release gear upgrades and content requiring that gear at the same time >excessive amount of premium cosmetic scratches focused on feminine clothing
that's just because they know straight males make up most mmo demographics. ziv and vindictus had the same situation with their cosmetics
I see Lux/Exdi as the fool money. People will buy them up and then regret it, while I pocket the money for N-Sphere. It won't be long until the Purple Gear get release again, invalidating the Einea, even though a heavily geared Octo is just as good.
The gear and augments are free so I might as well take advantage of that. Any Lux I make will let me buy more N-Sphere so I can use/hoard them. 1pt makes a whole lot different than the old Sphere, which cost 3 pts.

t.gay with 4 digit hours in pso2+ngs
maybe by the time it reaches its episode 3 phase it might start looking decent
I doubt it we will see new episodes with the small amount of roadmapped content they are dripfeeding right now. They're giving us most mininal amount of in-game activities while pushing more AC scratches and revival before they run out of juice.
I thought the ULTRA SUPER DUPER TURBO HD REMIX update that was just... the shitty build-a-level shit that nobody besides 5 people whined about at launch and they all hands for was Episode 2?
nope, that's ~VERSION~ 2, not specifically episode 2
for what it's worth, version 2 in pso1 was adding a difficulty mode and reskinning the monsters
coincidentally episode 2 is reskinning the monsters and new combat sector levels, which yes would make sense to call version 2 then, but it is what it is
episode 2 is about the starless, believe it or not, since the story sure isn't making it feel like it's actually about anything besides aina and manon's daily lives
Dark Falz Solus? Starless threat? What are you talking about? Come on, let's go take care of Manon's suicidal tendencies!
Anonymous
solus is so confusing, "dark falz-class", "planetbreaker", but the only person concerned about it is ran (or whoever is announcing the emergency quest)
there's nothing about it in the story and we've already moved from retem to kvaris for the retreading of zones, the time for us to learn about solus has passed, we WON'T learn anything, it won't destroy anything, it won't threaten anything, it's essentially just a seasonal boss that is going to be forgotten
i'd really like any sort of hint to why it's using pso1 episode 4 music motifs for the emergency announcement music, because that's the only thing we have to go on for figuring out what we're supposed to be thinking about it
At the time NGS was running, PSO2 already had us defeating Elder, finding out Oracle loves experimenting, thwarted Luther's conspiracy, Xion's brother-son taking over, finding out Apprentience loves grooming children, us finding out we're Persona and just about to enter a bara/monsterfricker planet that Double is heading to.
By the time NGS is actually moving, we would've found out that Mother is an original character donut steel of Xion.
There's definitely a lack of that. Not just that, but I'm pretty sure the people doing movies are different too.
The people who worked on og PSO2 had a remarkable talent for camerawork, like that frickawesome scene in EP2's OP where everyone closes in and the shot rotates around with the centering on the grenade round. NGS' is really lackluster by comparison.
that was legitimately some of the most magical moments i have had in vidya in my entire life, seeing the cg and then doing the quest
i will never forgive sega for taking this game away from me
>no, it's currently entering the second chapter of episode 2
Not even that. We're in some fricking extended epilogue of episode 1, hence why it's called Chapter 6. Nearly three years of the first "arc" of the game to basically only have one ACTUAL major story beat worth noting before everyone fricks around again.
yes it is called chapter 6 but i don't think it's "1-6", it's more like "2-1" with episode 1 going up to "1-5"
chapter 6's production is post-launch, while up to chapter 5 was pretty much finished early on and they were dripfeeding the content, that's why the whole story up to that point was able to be datamined
i want to add that it's HILARIOUS that they expected the content they made of episode 1 to be stretched out over a longer period of time than it was
keep in mind they gave us an accelerated schedule beginning from retem to stia of "every 6 months", they were probably going to drag each of those regions out for a fricking year
They drop the ball in NGS launch >forced everyone to upgrade their spec, killing toaster players >require +100 gb if you want to play Base, killing base players >does frick all with content in NGS at the time, killing endgamers >allows botting and red boxing to run rampant, destroying the economy for years to come >hire a bunch of troony CM that give zero shit about the community and out right destroy it while forming their own circle jerk >SEGA would rather hired streamer instead of fixing their game, pissing off the remaining playerbase at the time >pissed off players end up trolling the paid streamers >combination of that and trannies CM cause one of biggest banwave >destroy the pso forum, censored the hell out of the discord and reddit, all the while, the CMs does things that would get a normal players ban because rule for thy but not for me >one of the troony cm outright advertise and promote his dj crap while using his position
It just never recover with so many shit stacking against each other. Ignore any morons that CM does nothing when they can destroy the image of your game with their abusive power
>Meanwhile sega will see all this and re-affirm that the west is simply not cultured enough to enjoy their games and we never see an english PS game again
>west is simply not cultured enough to enjoy their games >games
SEGA expects you to idle at the main lobby with your scantily clad custom character doing same dance emote for whole day.
they can't afford it at this point, westoids are their only fanbase at this point
you're more likely to get fricked in the ass even further and watch in horror as they americanize PS even further
>new game requires better hardware >new content means larger file size >the game just launched so there's little to do >two separate issues lumped into one as if they are one and the same, the former isn't even unique to NGS >trans people >trans people >trans people >trans people >trans people
Holy shit I finally have an opportunity to use pic related
Seriously, I think the fact your list of issues is more than half dominated by trans people is pathetic.
Like, NGS has problems that have jack shit to do with the community:
>lack of variety in PAs makes combat repetitive >Comes up with the idea of multiweapons, yet holds on to the old S-R-T damage formula >Class flaws in base are in some cases amplified in NGS >Subclassing is neutered almost altogether, no reason to really run anything other than Slayer >That is if you aren't just saying screw it and playing Slayer anyway >Enemy encounter design is all over the place >huge emphasis on playing whatever is the current "endgame" content to get the "latest" gear >Rather than trying to flesh out NGS' mechanics, Sega instead just clutters class skills >Now there's no hope for new PAs until they're done doing whatever the frick remastering to ALL classes >Because what classes need isn't more options, but busting up their mechanics while giving their VFX an overhaul >Reinvents base mechanics by cutting useless stats, yet falls into the same old traps because the reinventions are really just reskins >Has to rely on reskinning old content heavily because of the kind of shit that almost killed Warframe around its' own launch
>muh class
They turn every class into a scion and most people would tolerate it. Most players won't tolerate it if there no actual gameplay to use it. All you had is Forest and Lab for first couple of month. But there no point in doing all that when you have the face of the SEGA antagonizing the remaining community and censoring them. Good job dicksucking that that you blew off as nothing.
>I think the fact your list of issues is more than half dominated by trans people is pathetic.
said the troony
What has your b***hing about the personal preferences of CMs done to actually improve the game? Jack shit, evidently. They're still in place, they haven't changed their policies, and b***hing about them is obviously not going to change a thing.

Touch a nerve I see. But hey its okay that this happen so everyone can see why having a Global release is a bad idea with trannies around. Driving content creator out in drove and calling one of them a hacker with no proof. Shitposting the official twitter instead of giving actual news or setting up an UQ schedule before the NGS release. Muting people for saying Frick when you have Frick in your avatar. Muting and banning anyone for bringing anything up in discord, etc. Its pretty sad when the only person that anyone gave a shit was the Japanese Translator that did the CM job for the CM.

What triggers me is the way you're going about it. Your shit is never going to work unless you change tactics.
What you should do to that end is try and the meatier bits of the moderation inconsistency. Document the shitposts and note the mutes, especially if they're of people calling out said avatar, and release it in a manifesto or something. While you're at it, completely avoid referencing "transgender" anything, because crying about that in specific will make all of your evidence and claims look like nothing more than a product of bias. When you get to that point, everything becomes dismissable.

What's the deal with subclasses in NGS? I myself played Slayer for a while but eventually switched out because spamming counters to win was mindnumbing
The whole thing about subclassing being neutered is moronic youtube celeb misinfo. There are at least 5-6 usable subclasses
- Bo: best option against shit with breakable parts. saves points on blot skills if you're a tech class
- Te: fills pb gauge faster, useful for some fights. save points on blot skills if you're a tech class, also compound tech skills stack with Fo
- Sl: more crit, the "default" option but a very far cry from a must use
- Fo: infinite pp, mandatory in combat sectors/mobbing
- Hu/Wa: tons of survivability, useful for learning fights
It's far better than base where your subs are either Fi/Ph if you're not a shitter, Hu if you are, and everything else does jack shit
That anon is a troony moron. Each subclass become situational for the user to get better at certain part of the game. On top of what this anon said,

, I would add a few more points. /Bo in general is extremely good against Solus, since all of Solu's parts are destructible. Before Slayer came, /Fi was the go do sub because you deal more damage against down enemies. /Ra is almost mandatory with Gunners since Gunners will get all of the Rifle Skills and abuse it.
Regardless, anyone that b***h about MUH Subclass always forget how fricking bad it was in Base. Mission requires you to be in a certain level in both main class and subclass. Most subclass in Base is just LOL DO MORE CRIT or LOL MORE STATS.

I think they're more talking about how the subclass adds very little in terms of stats and skills. Even multi-weaponing for the subclass is worthless.
It's a perfectly valid complaint, but it's thrown onto the shitpile with "no PAs" and the like.
>lack of variety in PAs makes combat repetitive
more like they noticed people simply don't bother with shitty meme PAs when single target, aoe, altitude adjustment and gap closer and the only tools you ever need and fill the palette slots nicely too. successor class design and their positive reception just further cemented this. also some weapons are expected to be multi'd and with two weapons worth of PA, WA and active skills it's kind of a fricking mess >huge emphasis on playing whatever is the current "endgame" content to get the "latest" gear
that only gets you the equipment, not very different from running the newfangled UQ to get a kidney stone to redeem the latest weapon in ep4-6. getting the affixes for it still requires you to run all the frick over unless you buy them from other players
That latter's only if you want absolute min-maxing though. The shit that comes default on handouts is almost always just fine for 95% of the players. At most you'd want to replace the seasonal on the event weapons and you're good unless you're a low-functioning autist.
Honestly, you could've just omitted your reply though, since "huge emphasis on playing whatever is the current "endgame" content is the only true part. They power creep so fricking often, only idiots and brand new even care at this point.

it's a very unfortunate situation where they refuses to make more aggressive gear checks out of fear of losing players, but the players who would benefit from handouts and relaxed participation conditions would just go "oh i can just show up and clear instead of working on anything then?" and then quit anyway kek
i'm genuinely curious how a dev would unfrick this situation
i actually don't mind the power creeps since i make a lot of money from impulsive morons that way. power creep is when affixes start flying off the shelves and the market is simply miserable the rest of the time

I can't honestly blame them for that decision though, since further gating players is the last thing they can afford to do.
They were idiots to paint themselves into that corner, someone at least had a single moment of not-moron to realize their game utterly depends on more casual players spending flash git showoff money now instead of people who earnestly like to play it.

the issue is realistically, pso2 never had gear checks either, 99% of the population coasted on 4/8 slots with poorgay affixes until transfer passes became a thing and only then did anyone actually try to gear. The gearing system in the game is fundamentally shit to the point because its designed to try to get you to spend real money and most players are not stupid enough to do it. They basically stealth dropped NGS when we were in the last episode of base on global. Whats funny is almost everyone who dropped it to wait for ngs still immediately quit ngs too.

NGS got announced 1 year before it's release, June 2020. Global version released in April 2020. We were still on ep1-3 and just few weeks away from ep4 release that happened in August I think? I quit around that time
People already knew 1 year before NGS is coming and everyone talked about how it's useless to buy scratches yet a lot of people still did.
Everyone dropped NGS after release because it was obviously a fricking disaster, servers were dying and in the end there was nothing to do after getting to level 20, that took like 8 hours. Then 2 weeks after the funny purple guy released who spawned only during the rain, could take like 4 hours and despawn only after a minute.
In the meantime the bots were running wild and crashing the entire economy which is probably still an issue because morons working at sega have 0 fricking idea how to deal with it.

honestly sitting around on the west aelio cliffs while waiting for one of those guys to spawn was the most fun i had in ngs, only time that the game felt relatively social

it's so ironic and sad how it had the complete opposite effect. after the bubble bursted, people, TO THIS DAY, couldn't cope with the realization that no game in the world will ever update at that speed forever. especially not a next gen game by the same team that struggled to maintain a PS2 looking ass game previously
all the morons at sega had to do was let pso2 sit around for at least 5 years so people have time to digest it, then launch ngs so it'd start with a complete planet and a better foundation than the shitshow in 2021
The ranger/gunner expansion was the worst class expansion. The classes improved less than when 2.0 rolled around. It's depressing, because the classes are effectively dead in the water. It was a shitty update.

wdym classes? gu is probably still dead but ranger is a top tier class that just got even more ridiculous. ""WB support"" that can solo aegis after handicapping itself (through not having LRA), yeah frick off
sega thought ranger needed an update because a large swath of its playerbase is genuinely too moronic to do anything other than holding normal/blaze, but now it's just even more overpowered in the right hands while the morons are STILL not doing any dps anyway

I always find this funny. Any RA main knows they have a lot of good stuff in their toolbelt, but most of the "RA" are morons that will only use Normal and Blaze Shot (NOT UPGRADED), and they will still b***h about how horrible the class is. The min-maxxers can eat my shit fresh from my butthole. THEY'RE the reason the BP system was implemented has a "keeping up with the joneses" element if you want to do the latest UQ's. Otherwise (with how the playerbase is bleeding out) you can't do the UQ's *IF* you don't get the event equipment to keep up.
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy: Sega listens to the most vocal b***hing, takes 1-2 years to implement the b***hing, and then the b***hers have already left or the shit doesn't move the needle for them.

>not sure what the right move is here
The right move was telling the min-maxxers to eat shit and kick rocks.
BP gating was stupid, and Sega is finally removing it from the story mode, but they keep it for UQ's because those min-maxxers will auto-quit when they see you have suboptimal/event gear.
And given the player base is already small (because Sega fricked up NGS's launch period/first impressions) banning them for leaving an UQ won't happen.
The fastest band-aid for it is to have UQ's take your attempt on join, even if you disconenct. Sort of like base's "keys" for the bonus quests. You risk losing your chance on a d/c but you can't fricking quit since your pot-comitted for the quest.
Either help with the "carry" or don't do the quest.

Case in point:
BP is a godsend. You are certainly not here when players were running TRASH in UQ back in base. What could be a 15 minute run turns into 50 because half of the MPA are using fricking Hiei Sou in a Profound or Persona Dark Falz run. Frick that noise.
>What could be a 15 minute run turns into 50 >Time limit: 60 mins
Then don't fricking go into an UQ with no party if you're not committed to spending an hour in it, dork.

Go frick yourself, Leech. Seeing morons like you getting one shot by a weak attack while you do 1 damage is the reason BP existed in the first place.

Nta anon, but BP is literally the most basic of shit, you don't even need to be playing that the game that seriously to meet requirements. It's not like base where people were telling you were dead weight for not wasting hundreds upon millions of meseta and resources fricking with Dudu to get 2%increase in optimal stats. To complain about BP requirements like it's such oppressive implement, might as well telegraph that you don't play the game at all, probably never actually have.

Bro, everyone understands coming into threads like this to complain about the game, hell it's why I'm here too. But don't just say stupid shit, expect to not be called out for saying stupid shit, then when you get pressed about it, claim people take the game too seriously and are shills because they don't agree with your stupid take. Hold that L, bruh. It has your name written all over it

please explain to me what's stupid about telling other people that they're dumb for minmaxxing in a dead mmo that doesn't even make combat its primary focus. I'll wait.

How about the fact that meeting BP req isn't even minmaxxing, to begin with? It's literally the most basic of shit, snag cheap or free high rank gear, casually build it up to 80 or what the highest cap is, fill it with easy as frick augments to get, and you are literally already well past req, that's all the basics of upgrading your shit.

Maybe it's part masochism, but I (sometimes) liked having to carry with less people within reason. Like if it was 8 players but two were undergeared shitters.

i get what you're saying. it's not masochism. if i ran something with a bunch of dpslets in ff14 for example my emotion would be a mix of dread and "shit my dick's big!" it validates your gear and performance in a sense because otherwise it's you getting carried

With enough experimenting, you can cobble together shitty, long since useful capsules on units and somehow stumble into an EQ. The maths for their fricking system doesn't make sense sometimes.
Anonymous
>somehow stumble into an EQ
That's cause the huge lion share if you're BP comes from your level and skill points assigned. The pecking order goes like this, from most impact to least impact
Level>Skill points assigned>weapon rank and level>Armor rank and level> weapon potential level>augments
Of those 6 things that impact your BP, 5 of them, 5 of them are things you are not only expected to doing to begin with, they are things that you've already been doing by just playing the game casually.

>get better gear >allocate all your class skill points >then put high-tier capsules on that gear
Even if you just use slightly weaker LC capsules from Leciel, being max level with an endgame worthy weapon and fully capsuled out will get you everything you need. It's actually so fricked that people with shit gear just trick it out with easy capsules from seasonal events and cheese their way into high-level shit all the time and make it worse for everybody else, BP fixed nothing.

the system has gotten better. the only annoying thing is that it's a money sink, especially the weapon which costs 3-5m. LC caps, preserved successful augments and upslotting fricking off for good were godsend changes, and you can get away with leaving your units at +61
NOT upgrading every cycle is still the smarter move of course, but this time i felt like i could throw some spare cash at it or ride a boost event and still get a decent set going instead of planning my ass off for months/years for a single nut

PSO2 drastically brought down the quality of phantasy star by going F2P and having the monthly mortgage premium bullshit. If NGS or a sequel comes out, they need to ditch the premium altogether, and just make a game that's worth 60 bucks. No strings attached.
Of course, pic related is the reality. SEGA will die before they change, and that death isn't happening soon enough

We shouldn't balance games around the lowest common denominator that will mash one attack and go about their day. I had fun playing Twin Machine Guns as if it were DMC-lite. NGS can't offer me anything with that much flair and combo variety.

He's using 5pa's at minimum that fight. In base gunner, All the PAs were extremely good and played off of each other so well, you'd be gimping your self using anything less than 4 or 5 pas. you either fill you sub-pallete with PAs as well as Kb+m, or you are constantly swapping pallete's mid combos when playing on controller. Base gunner was the one class where you didn't really get stuck using the same handful of pas, all of the PAs were decently good alone, and because of S-arts skips, the passive that skips charging Pas when you do back to back PAs you no longer were thinking about which PAs should i be using more than the others, but rather, what PA combo string should i be doing for this situation or that situation. That was the Main reason gunner in base was able to get away with only having one real weapon worth using on gunner.
>>new game requires better hardware >>new content means larger file size
Stupid fricking /vg/ troon. The problem is that you needed to download NGS to play base PSO2 which had lower hardware requirements and took up less space.
>forced everyone to upgrade their spec, killing toaster players
This is honestly the worst part of the "upgrade" to NGS. What was great with PSO2 was how easy it was to run, players with bad to decent PCs could play.
Also, PSO2 looked better than NGS does.
PSO2 honestly still looks pretty solid in its old graphics, it's really all in the shading/lighting they did even if individual assets didn't look good plus some good presentation effort.

Everyone got spoiled by the 200% rare drop bonus for 5 days and ten +100% boosts for one hour every week. Having +300% RDR did wonders. The drops at Rayjord Gorge were insane for someone catching up.
Yet SEGA managed to frick that up with faulty TORCHES that crashed game for everyone regularly.
Syberbolt makes these threads to stroke his own ego. The OP is always the same image with a similar question then goes right into replying to himself about trannies and his channel. Narcissistic behavior.

Especially when the main faces of your game is some bald and fat troony that looks like chrischan
I cannot put into words how sad I got when NGS got released and it was a fricking shitfest.
I knew about PSO2 for a long time, even dabbled into the JP version for a while but it didn't stick. When it got released on NA I decided to give it another try and absolutely fell in love with it, even mindless grinding was fun giving how nice the clasees felt.
The Sega throws it all away and replaced it with an empty, unoptimized shell of a game.
I still powered through it in the first month but I just couldn't take it, it's just that bad. The entire guild I used to play with disappeared within months.
It's just too sad.
I'm yet to find something to replace it, and I regret not giving it a chance back when I first tried the JP server a decade + ago. At least I would've enjoyed a bit more of it.
The one saving grace for PSO2 is that its still an overall great character creation simulator, but even that has it's work cut out for it because your creative freedom is directly tied to the player market. Even worse, your fellow players are the global community, with many avatars being painful to even look at much less interact with.
The combat in NGS is inferior compared to PSO2. Granted, though by Episode 6 PSO2 was already a very complete game, the gameplay in NGS feels too slowed down in comparison. I'm mostly just salty about how they ruined Bow Braver for me because Banish Arrow was my jam. This is my biggest reason for not being interested in the current state of the game.
The quests and boss fights in NGS are very boring and forgettable compared to PSO2. The story only just got a little interesting, yet with the pace of updates you'll forget about it by the time its relevant again.
NGS "Endgame" content is just as uninteresting because there's nothing fun to fight. Half the time it doesn't even matter because that gear will become outdated anyway and returning players will make use of whatever event is going on to grab fully upgraded weapons.
Creative Spaces are a nice upgrade from Personal Spaces. I think in time it has room for potential.
In PSO2 there were 6+ effective, wildly-different ways to play a spellcasting space wizard using different combinations of only three tech classes.
In NGS, there are 10 classes that have differently named "parry and then do a big counterattack" buttons and some filler shit you press in between.
>In NGS, there are 10 classes that have differently named "parry and then do a big counterattack" buttons and some filler shit you press in between.
Wait, you mean to tell me that every class is like this?
Then the game is even worse than I thought.
Its more accurate to say they turn all classes into scion classes from base. They have their weapons and PA to set their identity, but they all base their gameplay around countering. That being said, its HOW you counter and it interact with the classes differ with each classes.
The other scion classes in 2 were busted, but still fun to play with a decent amount of technical depth. The classes in NGS have none of that and just get a large portion of their damage forced into dodge counters.
somehow even worse, they managed to strip post-hero classes from their freeform flow mobility while having the same braindead piloting
at first glance NGS looks like it has more movement but then you actually play it and realize you're rooted into limiting animations for 90% of the combat and the actual movement is somehow more sluggish than base
even hero has a lot of depth. the classes in ngs just take the step counter aspect and drag it to death. the most optimal way to play is to step counter EVERYTHING because PAs in ngs are overly long and have completely shitty dps.

>I think in time it has room for potential.
It says a lot when they told us in the interview that a good amount of year before and during NGS was making the CS. Sadly, the gameplay and content for NGS suffer for it as a result.
I wish I could finish grinding base classes to 100 from 80-85 but the base population crashing on non-PSO2 days means that's impossible because even THEN people just run cradle instead of lower stuff to help lower classes get to cradle level.
Yeah, but rainbows/4million a pop are 1/4 chances.
Doing 10-20million by yourself is painful once you've seen how fast doing Cradle is. Supposedly another UQ under it for UH instead of XH is good for 80-85 to hit cradle.
I got like 4-10 levels off one Cradle due to PSE bursts in the middle of it during Ultra PSO2 day two weeks ago and have gotten spoiled on that speed since.
westoids have been desperately trying to infiltrate jp culture to destroy it
for the amount of money and effort that has gone into this, their results are laughable at best
>announce wrapping up developing new battle content at 2nd half of 2024 but still push cosmetics and creative space build parts >no more new cosmetics at end of 2024 >2025 announce eos
It's definitely slow and painful one.
I recently started playing this and I joined a /vg/ alliance when I entered their voice chat I expected mouthbreathing nerds sprouting /misc/ jokes 24/7 but surprisingly it was filled to the brim with actual crazy women talking about rare drops and making fun of other players this is the first game when I decided to play with Ganker it had way more women on it than men which is insane stay away from this game unless you want to be surrounded by crazy Ganker women
Funny how people think fondly of Base but forget how incredibly ugly and off setting most of the characters are, beside CAST. NGS has way more variety when it comes to look.
if you're ugly in pso2 then you're ugly in ngs. Some people just don't have an eye for beauty. They have no concept of facial structure, cheekbone placement, the size of face, jawline, etc.
Anyone that uses black lipstick is ugly btw
I played with channers when PSO2 was young and I think I was the only person playing a male character in about 40 people. I kinda doubt many of them were actually girls.
This shit right here is what really gets me.
You have all the creative freedom in the world, and most of what you will see on the global server are abominations like this thing running around spamming that on screen shout box with their god awful character. Not even an outlier, but several deviants with similar bimbofied, overtly obese freaks.
The global community is so mentally ill that they probably, genuinely find these kinds of characters attractive. And it makes me sick.
>several
they're like 10% of the game's population at this point, nobody is moderating this shit anymore so they started nesting in NGS like furries do in second life.
according to one of them there's a whole discord community full of preggo/vore/whatever deviants
>killed icon chat >worse gameplay than PSO2 >shit story, at least PSO2 was ok for a shonen-tier cliche anime story >HORRIBLE PC optimization. will melt/overclock your CPU >literally no real content for 3 years >playerbase is whales and troons playing dressup
it killed PSO2. IT's really sad, because PSO2 was kino when it released on the west releasing the episodes periodically.
You forgot the part where NGS started shitting up PSO2 from the moment it was announced. >NGS is coming, so I have no reason to actually do content instead of idling all day >NGS is coming, so why would I do Divide Quests >NGS is coming, so I'll never learn the augment system and beg for gear handouts instead
I don't know why symbol chat would bother you that much. It was originally there to facilitate communication between eng and japs in OG PSO. They don't even want the two market to play with eachother anymore, so regular chat is just fine.
I also don't know what this shit about the optimization is. NGS is one of damn few games you can have fairly high settings on and still run it on a toaster, which I know since I was doing it on a ten year old machine until this year. If it's fricking up your rig, I guarantee you the problem is with your system somewhere.
The rest of it is hot garbage and going nowhere, yes. The story especially is just bumfrick moronic lazy ass trash. The gameplay is servicible, but absolutely wrong for both PSO, since it took any literal and perceptive sense of exploration out of the game, and since power creep happens every month, there's no point to aim for anything except fashion so that's what you get.
>PSO2 was kino when it ran at 10 times its actual speed!
based global moron
content droughts, whales and troons playing dressup, idling in lobby until uq and shit braindead gameplay perfectly encapsulate what pso2 was and what ngs is now. actually i'll give it to ngs for not having shitter enablers like lifesteal and insurance on every class. yet.
no it's good, people hate it cause it's not a hamster wheel game. equipment progression is shit though, there's no point in upgrading your gear since you always get free stuff that can handle the latest content.
>people hate it cause it's not a hamster wheel game
it's worse than a hamster wheel game because there's fricking nothing to do but circle combat areas killing things endlessly, do urgent quests/leciel killing the same bosses on loop, or do limited quests when they pop up repeatedly. like you're literally spinning your wheels and have been since the game's launch, they just come up with a single new boss for it every several months and then reuse more PSO2 bosses.
It's good as a doll simulator, they even have houses now. All it needs now are cars.
Content is eh. Gear progression is so tiny and fast, that there's no point in doing them every update. Just wait every 2-3 patches and do it all over again then, which all becomes pointless anyways when they inevitably give everyone max upgraded 1 tier below max gear. So it's really every 4-5 patches instead.
>"we are not planning on adding any photon arts" >make an entire fricking robot exoskeleton extra combat mode instead that seems to serve as a whole extra class
hey you frickwits, the problem this game has is that people sub-class for a few side skills and some mobility/spread options, but generally most players stick to one or two classes, maybe level the rest. that's why your variety fricking sucks because unless you're a hunter or fighter you've got like two weapons of abilities that generally have like 2-3 attacks used ad Infinium on everything and NOTHING for weapon gearing really changes that whatsoever.
What depresses me about that is if races still mattered for shit, that would be kinda cool as a CAST-exclusive like SUV units, while the others get something different.
But sega still gotta be sega.
It will just end up like the snowboard and the missile launcher, which is nothing new. They also added Custom PA, which outright turn a good amount of PA into something different.
>into something different
As a ranged player, it basically just extended or tweaked my shit very minorly and it was a one-and-done. It's actually kind of fricked how even with the Ranger buffs that tried to improve their damage and capability, all they really did was mostly change the visuals and add extra charge levels.
>Custom PA >turning PAs into something different
oh yeah you're right about that, turning my hunter gameplay into just "overcharge spiral edge because 99% of the time nothing beats it in DPS" was such a welcome fricking change
There's a lot more they could have done with that system but based on the current dripfeed bullshit they gave us any excitement I had for the future of it is already fricking dead
its mediocre. like basically everything from sega since they went 3rd party. if its your first pso game its fine, but at the same time just play pso2 classic because its literally included for free with NGS and is a lot better.
classic was literally the same crap. it LOOKED like it had more story and uqs going on because it crawled to where it was in 10 years, a new player will blast through all of its copy pasted corridors in 3 days, get stuck in dysfunctional economy hell because cradle killed the playerbase, the market, and any incentive to progress gear, and aimlessly do dailies and idle until a hopefully good EQ gets announced
I will never not be so mad at SEGA for fricking not only NGS but also OG PSO2.
Like bruh dealing with the 2020 quarantine was so much better when I was getting the full pso2 glory that I missed even if it was rushed.
But obviously sega decided to be a fricking moron Black person and get greedy so frick them I only read stuff about the game sometimes to feel good about the game dying.
>NOOOO YOU CAN'T CRITICIZE THE GAME >THAT MAKES YOU /vg/
I don't even go over there and you're moronic. I stick around because I'm trying to finish grinding my base classes from 80 to 100 (have like 8 left) but once that's over, NGS is being uninstalled because it's clear Sega has no fricking idea what to do with it after they fricked up the initial launch.
It's like the casino: Maybe it's popular in Japan (doubtful) but in Global NOBODY was there, but people keep begging for it. So Sega will all-hands it like they did the build-a-level and then that shit is a wet-fart in terms of reception for EVERYONE ELSE that is b***hing about the (right) shit to b***h about: the fricking gameplay and repetition is shitty and Sega hasn't brought anything new to the stagent air of that.
>Decide to start it >Get in a lobby with people >They're all disgusting pedophiles and curries >Delete the game
My experience with this game. This is not the Phantasy Star Online I grew up with.
Does PSO at leas thave like a good rp scene? (both ero and normal rp)-
Like, the game looks fun to me, the closest thing I could relate it to is a flashier Genshin Impact but since I've heard the NGS story is nothing special, I wonder what would make me want to keep logging in. The exploration? The grind for the newest gear? The social aspect?
Or is playing base PSO2's story at least worth it?
ngs's story is awful, full stop
people log in for dressup, the game has the best character customization in an online game, its no contest, the only other mmos that come close are city of heroes/champions online and you're still much more limited in those
the character creation being this flexible also obviously lends itself to erp, which is unsurprisingly why most of the characters look like half naked bimbo fetish characters or e-girls.
no both stories were utter dogshit. the only positive thing about them is they're optional/skippable instead of a shitty visual novel they force feed you like genshin/xiv
yes the game has very good customization and lobby interactions. those are some of the things it didn't frick up. exploration is bad in both base and ngs. in base """"exploration"""" quests are shitty reskinned/randomly generated corridors, with a mobile game-tier gathering system, while ngs exploration is your standard open world treasure chest hunting, mat gathering slop
the grind for FASHION is what makes you (or at least I) want to keep logging in, because that shit can get very expensive, and you need decent gear in order to effectively manage that grind, so that becomes something you want to do as well as a prerequisite
the bosses and some classes are pretty fun. the only issue is they don't get updated often
There's nothing to keep you logging in, only people still playing this are sunken horse whales and literal autists/underage nigs on PS5 that never played MMO before and think 10 people standing afk in a lobby is good time.
Also everybody's characters are ugly as shit because using the proper proportions and face type makes you a pedophile or something.
copy monster hunter and release a new standalone game every few years instead of milking customers for biweekly costumes
Break things up a bit and release some of these standalone games as expansions instead of flat out new games, so people can carry over their progress and fight using the gear/levels they earned, maybe ever 4-5 years do a hard reset with a new game instead of an expansion
PSO3 that's developed exactly as PSO2 was, i.e. making sure it's still recognizable as a PSO game before anything else. But don't actually make PSO2-II because in retrospect it was never even all that good. Start over.
Don't ever make any more classes until every class available can use the same amount of weapons.
Bring back as many PSO/PSU composers as possible but first let Kobayashi work on something else for a year, because he's probably fricking sick of PSO2 at this point. Try to contact Kumatani and fail miserably.
Every 3 episodes starting with EP4 release a spin-off snapshot of EP n-1 that can be played offline. Less like Nova, more like Portable.
There's more, but it hurts to type it all out every time.
>cant delete NGS >delete
Fine, I shut it down and start over again from scratch. >PSO:BB2, >hunters licenses return, meaning you have to pay to get online but there is nothing hidden behind a paywall otherwise. dont even have to pay for the game itself >plethora of great clothing options, but no cash shops aside some exp and pa boost items >combat is literally psobb #2, same 3 attack system with a 4th special attack that replaces PA's thats specific to the weapon and the direction you hold >techs take some influence from Psp2i's system to keep building their strength, but not as broken >techniques gain different functionalities over time as you level them (yes thats coming back) making it worth actually grinding them ex:lvl 1 barta hits only 3 enemies, lvl 10 barta can hit 4 but also has a chance to freeze, lvl 30 barta splits in 2, higher chance to freeze, hits even more enemies etc etc. >the weapon you use matters again for its special and its activation chance, meaning redsword and things like it can be relevant hunts again >hit system returns but is less of a issue so much as it is SOLELY an aid to let special attacks hit.
I could keep going but you kids who started with PSO2 only are already triggered because it alienates your autist space anime super hero flying through the air bullshit.
licenses return, meaning you have to pay to get online but there is nothing hidden behind a paywall otherwise. dont even have to pay for the game itself
Most ridiculous model imaginable, you're basically asking for a completely free singleplayer game with paid online.
Yes, just like psobb and psu were towards the end. No one wants to pay for games anymore in the pay2start model, but if they wanna have access to it yeah they'll have to continue to pay for a continually updated game. This filters out low effort ban evaders, and low quality players.
I didn't say i was an economics expert, just that people should have to pay into it to incentize sega to DO SOMETHING. they're not fixing NGS because they're not INCENTIVIZED. the free2play model obviously isnt working anymore, making people feel like they've invested something financially after getting a game for free is a new angle. Dont see you coming up with something, unless you're a mad 3rd worlder.
I'm not even talking about the sub/f2p -- you're saying they should release a full fricking game for free with absolutely nothing paywalled except being able to play with other people. That's just not going to happen.
Also, sub fees aren't much of an incentive. Even the garbage duo that is WoW/FFXIV make morons pay for expansions where all the main content is, and both have a cash shop. And with so much F2P shit available nowadays (let alone 3D gacha), getting people to pay monthly for a new game is going to be extremely difficult regardless.
Granblue Relink just released and its just a full fricking game with nothing paywalled and its currently more popular by far than PSO2 in current and top players ever.
No... Sega is just full of dogshit and greed.

relink is a game that was supposed to be out 5 years ago, it was finally finished after 5,000 delays and all the time in the world to cook and refine instead of being developed alongside of a running mmo and seamlessly appended to the end of it

yes its the same shit, just make a good fricking game without having the monetization as a priority and thats it, sega couldnt even make a decent game with ngs
it's just gwiz having a meltdown again now that he's going to be the topic of three lolcow channels. he insists the grifter's shitcord raids Ganker. projection at the fullest if you frequent the general.
Why, a based anon here, I see. I would do the same and follow Kodama's ideas plus taking inspiration from scrapped concepts too.
I know, the question was a hypothetical one anyways.
I quit pso2 early on but isn't gwiz that fat old troony that looks like chris chan? Should probably just kill himself and just get over with the inevitable.
ignore everything outside pso1.
Train an image generator ai on pso1 gameplay, items, enemies, art, concept art, etc.
Design game aesthetics around output. Not allowed to design ANYTHING that isn't either lifted from pso1 or from the output of the ai.
Remove jumping.
Go back to light/heavy/special attack.
Add block.
You know what? Frick it. Don't even make a new game just make EPV and onwards of PSOBB.
Too fast. That was my problem with PSO2. PSO1's combat was slow and methodical. This was mostly to compensate for the fact that dialup was the best most people could do and you could skate by with dial-up on PSO.
WIth NG, you that slower gameplay won't work. Let NG be it's own thing with fast paced Devil may cry-style combat. Give me a dragons dogma style combat flow. Slower and more weighty.
Have a hub world/ship where you're sent into abandoned space stations, ruins, caves, etc, to accomplish missions. The story doesn't have to be super important, the highlight of the old series and PSO was exploring dungeons and finding treasure.
On that note, reduce or remove drop rate farming if at all possible. You want the player to always find something worth delving into, especially if they beat a boss or accomplish some difficult challenge. Conversely, showering players with rare weapons/items kills the allure of those items, so dumping a bunch of red boxes on people for them to convert into some other currency farming is bullshit. Just drop one or two rares and make everything else meseta or crafting parts.
Make jobs feel different and useful. If every job has the player jumping around like made killing everything in the room then it's hard to differentiate them. You don't need something as basic as tank, healer, DPS, but I want the feeling of "Man I wish we had [useful job not in the party]" and then that job shows up and you're like "Nice! This will go easier with them." but no specific job should overshadow another, they should compliment each other.
Overall, It doesn't have to be as slow as PSO1, but it shouldn't feel as flashy as PSO2. I wouldn't mind a buy-to-play model with a BP or some shit. I don't need an MMO, but a lobby where you can run around and wave at people like in Darktide or the original PSO 1 would be fine. >muh open world!
Frick open worlds. Give me good dungeons!
>Make PSO EPV >Keep it like the original PSO >Add more contents (new maps, mobs and items) >Make a sub-episode in it called VR (with VR support) >Use that sub-episode to test and add new feature taken from Dark Souls/Bloodborne >Profit
All of NGS was temporary, if you start now you already missed the bulk of the game which was limited content that came and went.
And if you're still holding on the copium that they're still filling the game with content, well you're an irredeemable idiot.
At this point I enjoy the gameplay well enough, some of the fights like pretty much all the falz ones are done well, but it's just so directionless. Open world was an incredible mistake because they did very little with it, and leciel exploration is the best content this fricking game has had in a while for better or worse.
just beat dark falz when does the story end and how can i craft good shit? ive been running around with just the weapon handouts and the game fricking vomits all these things at you that i dont know whats for what or what should i just chuck away
Why are they holding off? Politeness?
I'd just drop that shit in the wild and let it ride. Willing to bet there's at least one or two teams out there who could do more with both games than Sega's been doing.
>Why are they holding off? Politeness?
Sega/MS would C&D it so fast your head still wouldn't understand why.
That's why you drop it wild and let it go where it will. They can shut a few games down, sure, but once the code's out there, there's not a single fricking thing any amount of lawsuits can do to stop games from coming up.
Law of averages says sooner or later someone will put it in a country that tells sega's lawyers to frick off as continually happens with these projects, and there you go.
>They can shut a few games down, sure, but once the code's out there,
See: Imagine, Shin Megami Tensei. If Sega wants the code nuked from orbit no matter how dead the product is, they'll do it. But you're missing that Global (and Japan) is still alive and making them money. They have a business reason to C&D and nuke any private server code and sue whoever hosts it right now.
>go online >everyone's some fricking big breasts fortnite anime skin doing psuedo tiktok dances in front of a shop >they do this almost all fricking day as in i could leave for a few hours to grind or play another game and come back >THEY'RE STILL THERE
does anyone actually play this game or is it one big erp simulator?
people afk to boost playtime so their arguments can't be refuted. when they do manage to play they either take "perfect screenshots" with heavy visual overhauls installed or they use client sided sex animations and frick randos in public. the YouTubers and sega moderators participate. It's an open secret. Sega doesn't do anything about it because it makes them money. NGS is weeaboo second life.
a reminder that the content creators record themselves dropping $300 every week on gacha elements then cry about no actual content coming down the pipeline.
i think they actually woke the frick up because drop rates in february have been insanely good
i got more 10* weapons/9* armor than i know what to do with, and someone who doesn't drop them can just buy them for peanuts on the market or trade pity mats for them after a while
it should've always been like this instead of whatever the frick this was. sega is one of those companies that tortures the playerbase with moronic mechanics then backs off when it's too late. really reminds me of nexon
Come on, anon. PSO has spawned countless games with it's formula. There are tons of games to help ween you off NGS:
>Granblue Fantasy Relink plays like a modern PSO would >Genshin Impact does everything NGS tries to do but better >Monster Hunter has been carrying the formula for so long that most people think that its the origin >Ephinea Servers for PSO is keeping that game alive and kicking >Warframe has a unique sci-fi setting along with an incredible power fantasy.
All of those games are far better way to spend your time.
>spawned countless games with its formula >not a single one succeeds at the one thing that will peel me off the pso2 shitshow: character customization
Fricking christ, all of you had ONE job
>but muh character creation
Really? That's the ONLY thing that stops you from playing a different game?
>Black Desert Online >final fantasy 14 >Warframe still because fashion frame is end game >Skyrim so you can be a coomer with mods >The fricking SIMS
i have more hours in ff14 than this game. its customization options were trash and it's undergoing the mother of all content droughts (has been for the entire endwalker postgame actually)
also tab target is gaygier than any form of action combat. that's without mentioning they already gutted every class and fight this expansion
i guess i could play mh wilds and dd2, the problem is they aren't out yet
There's also the fact that you can play Ngs with out a subscription, so it's not like you feel like you have to keep playing Ngs to get the most out of your sub out of obligation. One the the nice things about Pso2 and ngs that, you can always just put it down a good moment and pick it back up later.
Anonymous
that's a good point. subscription model + WEEKLY drip fed gear + 2 hours of content every 6 months was a hell of a shit combination. i felt like i was paypigging for my gear at times and letting my sub tick away meaninglessly some other times
a game like this is easier to pick up and drop
>final fantasy 14
literally 95% of your customization is trying to figure out how to best get loot drops from dungeons/raids/endless repetition, the actual character customization itself is so rudimentary and barebones even the creators are admitting they want to expand it but simply can't
the big thing about PSO2/NGS is how agnostic your customization can be to ridiculous extents without having to tie it down to leagues of gear hunting, even if gacha scratch is a million times worse morally
>spawned countless games with its formula >not a single one succeeds at the one thing that will peel me off the pso2 shitshow: character customization
Fricking christ, all of you had ONE job
Both Genshin and NGS were attempting to copy BOTW. Genshin succeeded and now NGS is desperately trying to copy Genshin. Pic related is the most clear proof of this.
>assuming that SEGA had a plan to "kill" a game before it released instead of copying superficial elements from other more successful games in a vane attempt to be "hip".
Cel Shading is unironically good in NGS, though. All Base fashion and CAST looks great under that effect.
No it doesn't, it clashes with the environment and makes characters look gaudy. But I suppose a moron like you would think "more different = more bettered"

Nope, still looks like shit, thank god they allow you to turn it off for everyone.
>it clashes with the environment
If you're a moronic zoomer maybe because old cartoons and anime did cel-shaded characters against painted background and it came out great every time.
>"well older thing did da thing and older is always good"
moronic argument, even if all anime is somehow masterpieces that ALWAYS used differing art techniques simultaneously, that doesn't change the fact that NGS added cell-shading with little or no regard for stylistic consistency and as a result cell shading is half baked shit.
That same "no regard attitude" is why episode 4-6 of PSO2 weren't nearly as good, and why 90% of the cosmetic items are also shit.

the problem with the game is many of its players cannot customize their character worth a shit, that's where celshading steps in and salvages their shit sliders. most likely yours too.

They aren't trying to copy Genshin on anything, the issue with NGS, is that they been on life support with no budget ever since Sega took a gamble on Sakura wars and siphoned funds into that gacha that lost them millions.
Yeah, sakura wars was a massive blunder that NGS was supposed to cover up. Doesn't change the fact that they are desperate for that Genshin player base and have no shame doing everything to get them.

They weren't trying to get the genshin goons, the genshin goons play genshin for the game play in the first play. They play genshin for the characters. The idea was simply just take pso2 and put into a bigger sandbox to roam as a free field because that was what people were doing in base to begin with free field farming, and develop bigger free field content. Problem is they have not had any money in there budget to even begin what they should have been. Doing 1 yeah and a half ago with this plan.
>game deliberately hand you the basic gear to do shit like profound >refuse to use it and use trash instead >wonder why everyone keep switching MPA while your MPA is stuck at 5/12
This game needs either a completely new executive bunch, with no more fricking Hamazaki in charge (he's in charge of the entire series now by the way, not just the game itself), and some serious new direction, or it needs to be taken out back like Old Yeller. And judging by how the June update looks to be tripling down on creating combat area design instead of on stuff like Leciel's very, very weak attempt at proc-gen dungeons, something tells me they aren't backing off of their intentions any time soon. Like seriously, no one likes this, not even the Japanese players, why are they so stubborn about being as cost-effective as humanly possible that they are reusing some of the core ideas from PSO2 and STILL don't want to actually iterate on what PSO is at its core instead of focusing all their shit on "open world" garbage?
>not even the Japanese players
i don't see them boycotting the game like they did in ep5. also combat area is the same crap as guruguru. clearly we all failed to signal to them in the base days that it was bad content
dare i even ask what the JP player count is, because at this point it's blatantly obvious between the censoring of criticism the ENG community has and the way this game's gone down, only JP matters to segac as per usual
i don't know the numbers but it's alive. i saw this during the end-of-year events, i can get back to back LQs in wagie hours even now and the cities are crowded (even stia, although it's probably just the dext farmers)
Jesus christ. I'm stuck on Ship 3 on Global because of early mistakes and have too much shit to transfer over to Ship 2 accordingly, because Sega are full moron and don't let you easily transfer items in full thanks to how everything works, but JP makes Global look like a barely-operable ghost town by comparison.
ep5's reception in japan was nuclear meltdown tier. the game nearly imploded and the director had to apologize on a stream
hero, the class balance and the isekai garbage were just that hated
Because Sega by now has wised up to the cancer that is the loud minority of their fanbases. Like it's sounds like good advice to go back the roots of old Pso sure, but as they hear people talk about this more they realize the main people asking for that approach are the same ones asking for stupid shit like remaking and releasing Pso1, and then further demonstrating that they don't even know what it is about Pso1 that they want back, as some people say stupid shit like "I want to go back to the jank slow as frick combat because it was more challenging" or " I want to go back Pso1 aesthetics because I don't like how anime 2/ngs is". And admist all this clamoring for going back and giving up pso2/ngs, there's not a single voice somehow suggesting out to fix what they have now, and it's like the easiest thing in the world do think of ideas to add and build onto Ngs. You could make better world trials, with actual enemies, design actual raids involving special limit time events on the over world, advance the plot and re-introduce space travel and stuff like that. The answer doesn't really have to be burn it all down, yet all they here when it comes to how can they make NGS better, is "burn it all down." Basically Sega's getting to a point where as they are frantically bailing out water to save themselves from going under as company, they are looking at all of these noisy as shit fans who have been b***hing about how "Sega doesn't do this and they really need to!", and then when Sega does just that they then complained that Sega still didn't do the thing that they wanted so they refuse to buy said they they begged for. Basically watch what happens when Jet set Radio comes out and you'll get exactly what I mean.
>You could make better world trials, with actual enemies, design actual raids involving special limit time events on the over world,
they've done all that in various forms and it works for a week and a half till people are geared up and then go back to the dailies
Also neither is what they did with the gorge. A raid would be something like plague star or scarlet spear in warframe, something that happens like one a year or so last two or 3 weeks, is a completely unique enemy farm, boss fight, etc. So like of they were do something like larp a massive starless rift being torn open somewhere in the open world, and you farmed creatures from that to get triggers or something to enter said rift and run that quests to search and fight the main cause of that rift. Basically if you remember how Elder and Loser use to work, there was the quest where you fought Falz arms until the raid bar was filled then you fought elder. Loser was fight the apostles to spawn the Real Loser at the end to fight. I'm talking about doing events like that, only on a much bigger scale, making world trials like that.
>A raid would be something like plague star or scarlet spear in warframe
what you've said is nontense to me >something that happens like one a year or so last two or 3 weeks, is a completely unique enemy farm, boss fight, etc
that's verbatim any limited time quest, except you're saying it should only be available once? except you say farm inferring it should be more than once
rest of what you're saying just sounds, i dunno, really lame
i don't want to do that, i am not excited about that at all
that sounds like a you wanting something that you did somewhere else, i didn't do that, so what you're describing is nothing that i have nostalgic feelings for, it just sounds kinda pathetic
Honestly I just want some sort of combat refinement that isn't just mashing a couple attacks for fairly mindless damage sponges, and content that has beginning and end points that actually feel cohesive instead of circling combat areas endlessly. What
>You could make better world trials, with actual enemies, design actual raids involving special limit time events on the over world,
they've done all that in various forms and it works for a week and a half till people are geared up and then go back to the dailies
inconvenient truth: dailies need to go
says ties into this; you're just expected 90% of your run time to log in, go grab some shit, feed yourself and the region mag, then run in circles killing things and getting PSE bursts before fricking off until there's limited/urgent shit you feel like doing.
There's nothing here but the gear game that is either rare drop hell of 0.005% chances or buying shit on the shop, and the progression is so fricked that they regularly just shortcut it for freebies every so often so there's no point in actually playing what little variety of content there is anyway.
yeah it's kinda dreadful, but i also couldn't think of any point in both pso2 and ngs' lives that the game loop was any different
no matter how many meme names they come up for their quest types the majority of them are still >kill random shit >go to boss room then kill boss
i don't deny it's repetitive but combat areas makes it easy to start and stop whenever which i guess is something
i think a couple more side things like leciel would be good. i wanna see what the new quest shit in march is
I want you to actually my read my post in it's entirety, then look at
I will say it again, until idiots finally realize it, but the future of PSO is from Dark Souls / Bloodborne.
Any person that know about game design can see that from miles away (but I guess that's too difficult for some morons?), if you study (even reverse engineer) how the gameplay loop and mechanic works in PSO1 and look at DS/BB, you will realize that DS/BB is literally what PSO2 would have been if SEGA would have updated PSO1 correctly.
It's incredible that every time I talk about this, I have to explain the most basic of the most basic term of a game design principle, like how a camera rotate, how the running/walking speed is, how much animation are used for X and Y attacks....
BB is closer to PSO that any other games actually (including monster hunter), in a way, a "perfect" PSO2 already exist, it's just not set in futuristic space environment.
, and tell me if that assessment about Sega's fanbases is still wrong.
You are a fricking idiot. PSO2 (and NGS) are build from PSU philosophically (game design wise), which mean EVERYTHING in those games are TRASH, there is NOTHING to save from it.
It's like someone asking to make a good dish with poop, no matter how hard you try, it's IMPOSSIBLE.
I didn't prove anything you said.
SEGA is unable to make good games anymore, WE, fans, are not the problems. We don't ask them to conquer the moon or anything, WE ask them to simply make a good game with a competent team, that's it.
But they can't do that, it seems that at every STEP of a game creation, they need to frick it up. >Animation = DOG SHIT >Texture = DOG SHIT >Music = DOG SHIT >Gameplay = DOG SHIT >Character Design and ART = DOG SHIT >Perfomance = DOG SHIT >Content = DOG SHIT >Story = DOG SHIT
Even when they try to remaster take older items (classic) they still end up botching them.
Like for god sake, take a look at a character running in PSO 1 on Dreamcast and compare to PSO 2 and look how stupid and ridiculous it is, literal downgrade.
The amount of faith you give SEGA is insane. They are a completely out of touch company. As a company they refuse to actually listen to fan-feedback while all of their developers work in fear of it.
If it really is that SEGA should stop listening to fans, then why on earth was Sonic Mania their last critical and commercial success? And if they are a company capable of making smart decisions why the FRICK didn't they greenlight a sequel?
I've seen SEGA at one point hundreds of unique and cool games and series, only for them to systematically abandon and destroy every single one. There is no way in hell they are wisened up to anything. The reason 'people' (I) want to see SEGA burn is so they can stop making a fool of themselves.
I'm not giving Sega any faith, I'm just pointing that almost all the bad decisions they make are because they listened to fans who aren't even actual fans and have no clue what the frick they are talking about. Sonic mania is another example. It's a very good game that much is true and a love letter to classic song, but that's problem, it's fueled by nostalgia, with no real room for a sequel. And yet "Sonic fans" were using it as argument to say that's how Sonic games should be going forward. They were to make another and I guarantee you they would have been b***hing about it instead of praising it like 1. Either because there were too many reused zones or not enough reused zones. This is the moronation Sega's fanbases, it's not a bad idea at all to listen to your fans, but in Sega's case there comes a time where you gotta realize your "fans" need to not be listened to. I bring this up again, you know all those Sega revivals they are hyping up, watch everyone of them, Despite being begged to death to be made by Sega, get shat on and claimed to be not what the "fans"
You're gonna have to make a clear distinction between a fan and a "fan". Fuzzy gates are hard to keep.
As for the revival games. I think its fair too say that SEGA did not know what fans wanted, and their shotgun approach would seemingly support that.
>Shinobi looks cool, but I couldn't tell you who was begging for a new one, but it takes a tremendous frick up to make a bad 2D game these days
>streets of rage looks like it has potential. But I'm not holding my breath.
>Crazy Taxi looks to be running like shit. While I don't envy the task of expanding on a nea perfect arcade game, I don't think "cops n' robbers" was the way to go
>Jet Set Radio is too little too late. Bombrush gave JSR fans almost everything they wanted.
>Goldenaxe looks like pic related
I can't overstate how SEGA announcing these shotgun style shows a lack of confidence in their product, and the fact that the majority of the games look mid is not helping anything.
>play a bit, make a second character after not liking the first >oh you can't access My Room and your inventory storage is permanently fricked because clementine has a glitch with that shit that happens regularly, stuff only really works for your first slot character
not trying to compare the two, just my frustrations with clementine honestly unless that wasn't a sarcastic remark. honestly PSU isn't really much better, it just had more of an actual comfy MMO feel and that doesn't mean much for gameplay I consider to be even more mindless and awkward than both PSO1 and 2, it took them til Portable 2 to REALLY make something good with it
I dont play it for 1+ year now but let me take a wild guess >every 2 months or so a new event where enemies get an icon on their head and when you kill them you get points to buy stuff on the event shop >nothing happened in the story
am I right?
if you mean you stopped after the Zephetto stuff last year, then basically yeah. they updated the regions to have new tiers with Starless enemies that are even more annoying than dolls, some bits of new bosses or stuff here or there, but still fundamentally the same shit that has seasonals except now they tripled down on limited time quests every other month to FOMO people into playing more often.
as for the story, uhh, Aina has teaching problem confidence as an instructor and Manon wanted to fricking kill herself, and that's all folks
>Starless enemies that are even more annoying than dolls
i think dolls are too tame but i like most starlesses. except for Max homosexual. this ADHD kid could dodge fast moving projectiles just with its idle and keel over animations
this shit needs to stay in ep5/6
>game keeps pushing out faster and faster bosses like we're in nearing PSO2 endgame and shit's already faster than most MH fights >all we've got all game long is the fricking photon dash and weapon action counters that can barely keep up with it anymore
fricking why
>/itt/ anons talk more about gameplay discussions and state of ngs than fricking /psog/
The difference is stark, and yet it just proves the erp community is the rot that infests that general
I fear /mhg/ is on its way to become the goon central too since returntoworld# campaign. The troon homosexualry took up a notch in the last few weeks. Even /mhg/ threads on Ganker is better than the general itself.
>pre-NGS >everything was fine and enjoyable >post-NGS >everything goes to shit
SEGA fricked up and the game will never recover from it because they haven't done anything meaningful to fix anything. Quit the game a week in after NGS happened.
it was the same stale shit unless you're a globabby who lucked out with playing a super accelerated version of pso2 where all of its problems zoomed by too fast for you to notice
The events were all kill trash mobs then kill boss slop and the story was moronic anime shit. Art direction was all over the fricking place in ep3/4/5 too
EP6 had its issues, no one will argue that. The plot wrapped shit up too fast and conveniently, way too much content was just repackaged old content with a new difficulty tier, and the loot game was already getting streamlined and boiled down to small tidbits of shit really badly. But it still was a fairly solid state for the game to be in and it was slowly recovering. Shit, PSO2 STILL had its fanfests in JP that were high in population number and they even had the Oracle anime that covered half the story, it looked like it was on a steady recovery!
Then NGS happened and it's like they just skullfricked everything away for Hamazaki's "big return".
I will say it again, until idiots finally realize it, but the future of PSO is from Dark Souls / Bloodborne.

pso2 and that gay iframe dodge button shit can get out of my pso
>but I guess that's too difficult for some morons?
really makes you think, eh?
Maybe gameplay-wise at its core because PSO1 has more in common with Ocarina of Time combat than the DMC-wannabe PSO2 became, but no, PSO's best possible futures are taking lessons from Monster Hunter and Diablo to iterate on a dungeon crawling action RPG with decent loot again and big, fun bosses, instead of this shit.
Yes and no. Fundamentally, PSO cannot be Monster Hunter, they are way too different at their core.
As for Diablo, I do agree for the most part on the loot and dungeon system.
But again, if you sit there with the entire PSO1 game reversed, and try to add "improve" (not even change or add stuff, just improve) design wise, you will realize that you will get closer and closer to DS/BB.
The gameplay logic of PSO1 is simple, you fight mobs (not big monsters or dragon like Monster Hunter, outside of bosses of courses), and you need to manage your position, running path and dodge accordingly, it's all about this, and only this.
There is no jump, no special "weapons" gameplay that change depending of the type of weapons (only animations), no "hunt" for a tails of a rathalos or anything........ (in fact, a lot of mobs are biped and sometimes even humanoid in PSO1).
No, instead, the entire gameplay is about crowd controls, position and dodging, that's it.
In fact, you wouldn't even need to analyze the gameplay that much, take a 10s look of a PSO1 gameplay and compare to a 10s BB gameplay side by side, and you will see how close they are.
The only difference would be the "dodge/roll" mechanic added/importance, that is mostly from BB onward, since DS1 wasn't really made with that in mind first (position, manual evasion, blocking and dodging).
All in all, both game are "boots to the ground" and share the same gameplay loop.
I shouldn't have to explain this on Ganker, but eh, here we are..........
again, gay iframe dodge shit does not belong
pso was about positioning, only sekiro was about position (and even then not really)
DS and BB are absolutely the antithesis of what made pso's boss fights engaging, the ignore attack button is for people that are bad at game sense
Maybe gameplay-wise at its core because PSO1 has more in common with Ocarina of Time combat than the DMC-wannabe PSO2 became, but no, PSO's best possible futures are taking lessons from Monster Hunter and Diablo to iterate on a dungeon crawling action RPG with decent loot again and big, fun bosses, instead of this shit.
>it's just not set in futuristic space environment
critical mistake
futuristic space = i will play your game
someone should make space BB and NOT put it on the goystation
This reminds me of how kino Cathedral of the Sacred Blood was
>it's just not set in futuristic space environment

futuristic space = i will play your game
someone should make space BB and NOT put it on the goystation
>space eldritch combat >underwater combat zones in space >eldritch cities >spaceship fights >world-hopping >dream/nightmare zones >BB sanity mechanic
yes
You know, the funny part about this, is that we could do it.
Actually, we do have the PSO1 meshes, textures and animations already exported, we could mod DS1 and BB (mostly BB though, because of the firearms) with PSO1 assets if we wanted.
I fricking bet that if I were to do that, people would finally understand what I mean when I said that BB is closer to PSO that any other games.
again, gay iframe dodge shit does not belong
pso was about positioning, only sekiro was about position (and even then not really)
DS and BB are absolutely the antithesis of what made pso's boss fights engaging, the ignore attack button is for people that are bad at game sense
Reread what I said: >The only difference would be the "dodge/roll" mechanic added/importance, that is mostly from BB onward, since DS1 wasn't really made with that in mind first (position, manual evasion, blocking and dodging).
DS1 wasn't about dodging first (in fact, the typical way of playing the game was exactly like PSO1 (with blocking feature)), the "dodge" started to become more and more important because of the userbase realizing that it was a "better" way to play the game.
So stop looking only at that part (dodging), and look at the entire gameplay loop.
The funny part is, Elden Ring actually somewhat promote a "no dodge" gameplay from time to time, which again, make it closer to PSO1.

>brain rot >coming from a guy looking for reasons to post souls shit in a PSO thread while not really contributing anything >"zoomer"
Fricking hilarious, drink acid.
I actually had Gwiz and his troony squad try and groom me.
They kept calling me an egg and how they can't wait to "crack" me. Little did they know i'm a troony lore master and knew exactly what they were doing but played along. I just got bored of the shit game and i needed ssd space so i deleted the game and never looked back.
when you look at what they're currently doing with other franchises, no
ngs isn't good but they can't get any new project started in the right direction either
MMO launches are always dogshit. it will just blow up like NGS
the only thing they can do is unfrick this game. it's just a matter of content and structuring anyway. ep6 managed to undo the damages ep5 did just by making fun recycled shit and a good aesthetic. I don't know what they can do about the dogshit community though. You guys are absolutely fricking overrun with doomers and ragebaiting homosexuals
just fricking retire the series, temporary or not, at that rate. every game past PSO1 besides Portable 2 was some sort of disaster and Sega just can't help themselves
Think if Ephinea ever makes a PSO2 server, they will make it where you can download your character data from them like they do PSO1? For some reason thats a game changer for me and would make me want to play more than official.
"super game" was a project not a product, they said that from the beginning but people misinterpreted because japanese people using loanwords confuses everyone
it's several games, and they announced several games recently
I think they should make a PSO3 with a focus on roleplaying and living out a fantasy life. Let people use VR in lobby and player homes, and the rest can be a pretty good action game that they can grow from there and use ai generated quests or something ambitious and cheap.
sounds fricking based minus the ai slop
i don't know why c**ts would play a social genre and seethe about people doing social shit
they should double down on the roleplaying
that's always been a sketchy one because if you play one class, show up to the latest quest in welfare gear and clear with 3k dps, yeah, it's a drought, if you have to make current gear you'd have to run lq/gorge/uq/duels/triggers/pse for the gear and the affixes and that's a lot of bouncing between all kinds of content. if you want money to buy shit you'd be even busier
the game's problem isn't really quantity, but quality. they had this habit of rehashing shit to death since base while cool elaborate fights like the falz bosses come out every 8 months, the incentives to farm are strictly "you want to shave off time", "you want to be a solo autist" and "you want fashion without scratching" and anyone this doesn't apply to will feel like they're done early
I think allowing players to download their ingame model to use externally, like as a vtuber avatar or in VRC would actually be a compelling move to get people interested and potentially spending more on their character. It could be good marketing to see PSO avatars saturating japanese youtube videos in the same way vroid avatars are.
No, but it's just not good
Even worse, not only is it bad but it killed PSO2 in the process
TPBP.
>3 years
>Repeating shit in the four areas they already released
Sega is moronic. They keep thinking raising the cap will keep players, but the game is bleeding out so hard that PSE burst grinding isn't enough to keep people scratching.
moron, that's the second post.
it easily could have been folded into PSO2 as a sandbox map you access from the counter but with the HD graphics while the old parts of PSO2 get updated over time (Like Warframe). They easily could have kept everyone happy but instead put electrified barbed wire on a noose and jumped.
granblue fantasy relink killed it for good for me. sega can suck wiener.
It's funny you say that because I clicked here just to say it's the same as Relink but poorly made. Functionally there's almost no difference except that Relinks bosses are better
>Grind for nothing is the only activity
>Chink materials drop RNG
>Ugly outdated character models
>Spam the same moves forever
>No actual mechanics just dps checks
>Story made to be forgotten
Polish goes a long way but the standard for content depth is unforgivable in both games.
relink needs a sequel or a few more years. in addition to the things you mentioned,
>shit preset characters
>no customization
>censored
not what i wanted to see after endless delays
the eng server staff are woke freaks yes
They made it somehow worse in every way compared to the original.
It's not that bad if you wanna spend money on weebshit and leave your character emoting in town 24/7 like a moron
directly worse than old pso2
Its fricking horrible and only ERPing subhumans play it now
What a way for my favorite series to end
yes
total sega death
As bad as the game is the community is far worse.
>Syberbolt's videos were taken down off of youtube
lmfao, you will NOT criticize sega
it wasn't sega, it was an obsessed /vg/ schizo
they somehow claimed his ENTIRE channel, he only left up the pso2 videos because people needed to know
>he only left up the pso2 videos
Unfortunately those aren't available anymore because Syberbolt decided to throw in the towel.
>posted dec 19
it's never been more over
It really boggles the mind that there's people that will willingly become watchdogs for multimillion dollar companies, for free.
Not only just for free, they're willing to shell out hundreds on gacha scratches to get costumes for own toon.
Some people think it was the community manager behind it. Syber touched on it a little bit in the last video.
>Every person who dislikes what happened to NGS is syberbolt
I love how that one youtuber expose many "fans" and mods their true color, causing them to endlessly seething.
samegayging again

4. Draw porn of yourself having sex with them
5. Compile all this, make edge essay, cash out and repeat

he’s doing it again
turkey Tom doesn't care
you made me look it up but there's nothing. when is that video coming??
next week. A preview of it is in his supporter discord section.
You sound incredibly mind broken. Did you ahegao after watching his videos?
>3. Target a front facing employee; preferably a blonde haired person with glasses (fetish) to make sexual posts about
>4. Draw porn of yourself having sex with them
He sounds based.
at leats he put them on Odysee so they aren't lost
Interesting. Never knew Gwiz or whoever was so obsessed about someone who decided to criticise the product that they enjoy.
On one hand I like the game for allowing (or rather preying on) the community of coomers to exist. On the other hand the game itself is the lowest effort skinnerbox imaginable, and I can't force myself to play it anymore.
>Interesting. Never knew Gwiz or whoever was so obsessed about someone who decided to criticise the product that they enjoy.
Gwiz doesn't care about the game. They care about their reputation. I wonder how he he'll fight back against Turkey Tom.
>it wasn't sega, it was an obsessed /vg/ schizo
those are not mutually exclusive.
at that level you would expect him to just call cops and get it over with
SEGAGODS RAPED sissybolt
troons trying to play it off as a sega thing is unironically not a good outlook because sega of america may unironically get sued over this
There is no way in hell that the thinly veiled yaku-mafia is gonna get sued. Not in commiefornia, and definitely not in nippon-land
His real name is Garland. He trooned out after leaving his band in Oklahoma
Global fricks should have made their own general so the original general could have died in peace.
>game has serious identity crisis, not able to decide would it promote itself as botw open world multiplayer rpg, mmo or doll house builder simulator

>excessive amount of premium cosmetic scratches focused on feminine clothing and casual wear
Literally guild wars 2 but jap
Sex
>They're still reusing Halpha instead of designing new maps
Could they be any more lazy?
We're forever stuck on that planet because of the cheap open world implementation inspired by Breath of The Wild back then.
What are chances this roadmap doesn't hold up?
>Nijisanji part 2
>Dead game collabing with floundering vtuber agency
sad
It is going to be comical if "games from other companies" turns out to be Persona 5 from Atlus.
That's probably what its gonna be, but I think that'd be boring.
Imagine if it involved a Mega Man collab, though. Battle chips alone would be insane for weapon camo potential.
they collabed with non-niji vtubers too though?
The new region releases in July.
hey but gunner is slightly less dead weight now that it can refresh some of the pp bar for the party
except they lose so much dps in order to give a substantial amount of pp back that they may as well not be doing it, and nobody notices they get pp back anyway since they may as well do the same rotation they always do without paying attention
>kill blaze shot 2
>make launcher PA a lot more useful
>meme beam is now the best dps again
I consider it an improvement.
Its meant for the meme beam spammer. They certainly notice the PP gain and can hold down their meme beam button forever, dishing out way more damage than most classes other than Slayers.
good fricking luck using beam in any content that matters even if it is the best dps
>purple trigger

>Solus

>Fast Aegis

>meme beam is back

I forgot one important detail about it: Each Meme Beam hit refresh Blight Shot, effectively removing the biggest weakness Meme Beam has.

Its pretty good for one skill point
>there's nothing to do with recently added high level weapons and units other than spamming recycled limited time quests and limited time urgent quests
supposedly you would get this gear sorted out over time because shit like lux/exdi and presets cannot be farmed in a day unless you're already sitting on a pile of money. the roadmap points out when they expect you to be done with this (1-2 months when the "new quest type" and the 4-man drop, maybe even earlier depending on how strict the crimson realm boss dps check is)
but given the confused reactions they should just release gear upgrades and content requiring that gear at the same time
>excessive amount of premium cosmetic scratches focused on feminine clothing
that's just because they know straight males make up most mmo demographics. ziv and vindictus had the same situation with their cosmetics
I see Lux/Exdi as the fool money. People will buy them up and then regret it, while I pocket the money for N-Sphere. It won't be long until the Purple Gear get release again, invalidating the Einea, even though a heavily geared Octo is just as good.
Why gear up when all you're doing with it is 2021 content with higher values? Get standards holy shit
The gear and augments are free so I might as well take advantage of that. Any Lux I make will let me buy more N-Sphere so I can use/hoard them. 1pt makes a whole lot different than the old Sphere, which cost 3 pts.
>I don't even know/remember what spheres are
Yep, I have graduated.
Just keep hoarding whatever gacha collectable they throw at you anon wallahi it will reward you with content
They are use to make this abomination

How does Sega do it
Its playable but would not recommend to anyone
t.gay with 4 digit hours in pso2+ngs
maybe by the time it reaches its episode 3 phase it might start looking decent
I doubt it we will see new episodes with the small amount of roadmapped content they are dripfeeding right now. They're giving us most mininal amount of in-game activities while pushing more AC scratches and revival before they run out of juice.
>maybe by the time it reaches its episode 3 phase it might start looking decent
This suppposed to BE "episode 3" at this point.
>This suppposed to BE "episode 3" at this point.
no, it's currently entering the second chapter of episode 2
credit rolls mark the end of an episode
Come on, let's go take care of Manon's suicidal tendencies!
solus is so confusing, "dark falz-class", "planetbreaker", but the only person concerned about it is ran (or whoever is announcing the emergency quest)
there's nothing about it in the story and we've already moved from retem to kvaris for the retreading of zones, the time for us to learn about solus has passed, we WON'T learn anything, it won't destroy anything, it won't threaten anything, it's essentially just a seasonal boss that is going to be forgotten
i'd really like any sort of hint to why it's using pso1 episode 4 music motifs for the emergency announcement music, because that's the only thing we have to go on for figuring out what we're supposed to be thinking about it
At the time NGS was running, PSO2 already had us defeating Elder, finding out Oracle loves experimenting, thwarted Luther's conspiracy, Xion's brother-son taking over, finding out Apprentience loves grooming children, us finding out we're Persona and just about to enter a bara/monsterfricker planet that Double is heading to.
By the time NGS is actually moving, we would've found out that Mother is an original character donut steel of Xion.
of all the things, i just miss the yearly cg movie opening change where it has all of (us) fighting whatever the new thing is
Is hype after hype
now we got ver.2 on the logo
thanks I guess
Nearly three years of the first "arc" of the game to basically only have one ACTUAL major story beat worth noting before everyone fricks around again.
yes it is called chapter 6 but i don't think it's "1-6", it's more like "2-1" with episode 1 going up to "1-5"
chapter 6's production is post-launch, while up to chapter 5 was pretty much finished early on and they were dripfeeding the content, that's why the whole story up to that point was able to be datamined
i want to add that it's HILARIOUS that they expected the content they made of episode 1 to be stretched out over a longer period of time than it was
keep in mind they gave us an accelerated schedule beginning from retem to stia of "every 6 months", they were probably going to drag each of those regions out for a fricking year
where's pso2 Ephinea-tier private server
it's really a pity how this game is being developed. the combat felt so good i felt like it could have been my noliferestofmylife game.
They drop the ball in NGS launch
>forced everyone to upgrade their spec, killing toaster players
>require +100 gb if you want to play Base, killing base players
>does frick all with content in NGS at the time, killing endgamers
>allows botting and red boxing to run rampant, destroying the economy for years to come
>hire a bunch of troony CM that give zero shit about the community and out right destroy it while forming their own circle jerk
>SEGA would rather hired streamer instead of fixing their game, pissing off the remaining playerbase at the time
>pissed off players end up trolling the paid streamers
>combination of that and trannies CM cause one of biggest banwave
>destroy the pso forum, censored the hell out of the discord and reddit, all the while, the CMs does things that would get a normal players ban because rule for thy but not for me
>one of the troony cm outright advertise and promote his dj crap while using his position
It just never recover with so many shit stacking against each other. Ignore any morons that CM does nothing when they can destroy the image of your game with their abusive power
>Meanwhile sega will see all this and re-affirm that the west is simply not cultured enough to enjoy their games and we never see an english PS game again
>west is simply not cultured enough to enjoy their games
>games
SEGA expects you to idle at the main lobby with your scantily clad custom character doing same dance emote for whole day.
And this would unironically get your banned/suspended in the first couple of years in NGS
can't even do a scantily clad character without getting cancelled by the western shit community
Those shit communities have plenty skeletons in the closet as well. Being vocal against things can't hide the vile truth they have been part of.
good
globanimals ruined everything
they can't afford it at this point, westoids are their only fanbase at this point
you're more likely to get fricked in the ass even further and watch in horror as they americanize PS even further
>morons that says* CM does nothing
>new game requires better hardware
>new content means larger file size
>the game just launched so there's little to do
>two separate issues lumped into one as if they are one and the same, the former isn't even unique to NGS
>trans people
>trans people
>trans people
>trans people
>trans people
Holy shit I finally have an opportunity to use pic related
you're a troony lol
caught red handed 🙂 pic related, it's me
Seriously, I think the fact your list of issues is more than half dominated by trans people is pathetic.
Like, NGS has problems that have jack shit to do with the community:
>lack of variety in PAs makes combat repetitive
>Comes up with the idea of multiweapons, yet holds on to the old S-R-T damage formula
>Class flaws in base are in some cases amplified in NGS
>Subclassing is neutered almost altogether, no reason to really run anything other than Slayer
>That is if you aren't just saying screw it and playing Slayer anyway
>Enemy encounter design is all over the place
>huge emphasis on playing whatever is the current "endgame" content to get the "latest" gear
>Rather than trying to flesh out NGS' mechanics, Sega instead just clutters class skills
>Now there's no hope for new PAs until they're done doing whatever the frick remastering to ALL classes
>Because what classes need isn't more options, but busting up their mechanics while giving their VFX an overhaul
>Reinvents base mechanics by cutting useless stats, yet falls into the same old traps because the reinventions are really just reskins
>Has to rely on reskinning old content heavily because of the kind of shit that almost killed Warframe around its' own launch
This pretty much. The game is complete shit to the core.
With or without troony mods and bans in the global server.
So frick off.
When you get to that point, everything becomes dismissable.
turkey tom already made his video with over 600 pages of evidence
Yeah, I certainly hit a nerve and you obviously going to ignore all the stuff that posted the past 3 years. Ill just quote this guy instead.
NTA but, NGS problems are bigger than just a powertripping troony CM and a few bans in global.
The japanese version is also a ghost town because the game is simply trash, and they didn't have the bans from a troony CM in NGS.
>The japanese version is also a ghost town because the game is simply trash
So what you're saying is that the whole game actually depends on how global performs than JP.
No, it depends on whales rolling gacha, be they Nip or western.
>few bans in global
Banning 90%+ western players is "few" bans?
you will never be a woman.
you're way too obvious
what classes need isn't more options, but busting up their mechanics while giving their VFX an overhaul
>Gunner AR Burst was the Hammer of Dawn
>Ruins it with whatever bullshit shitty version of a burst is now.
Does Sega hate ARRIBA ARRIBA ARRIBA ANDALE or something?
>Subclassing is neutered almost altogether, no reason to really run anything other than Slayer
>>That is if you aren't just saying screw it and playing Slayer anyway
It's a perfectly valid complaint, but it's thrown onto the shitpile with "no PAs" and the like.
>lack of variety in PAs makes combat repetitive
more like they noticed people simply don't bother with shitty meme PAs when single target, aoe, altitude adjustment and gap closer and the only tools you ever need and fill the palette slots nicely too. successor class design and their positive reception just further cemented this. also some weapons are expected to be multi'd and with two weapons worth of PA, WA and active skills it's kind of a fricking mess
>huge emphasis on playing whatever is the current "endgame" content to get the "latest" gear
that only gets you the equipment, not very different from running the newfangled UQ to get a kidney stone to redeem the latest weapon in ep4-6. getting the affixes for it still requires you to run all the frick over unless you buy them from other players
PSO3 should do the smart thing and stop trying to tie your credit card to how powerful your character is.
>and stop trying to tie your credit card to how powerful your character is.
You know very well that will never happen when $$$ is involved
plenty of other action rpgs manage just fine selling cosmetics alone, sega is just greedy and their greed is why the game is in the state it is
like what? black desert and blade n soul??? LOL! asiaticslop is worse and more p2w you moronic Black person
korean games are worse, no shit, that doesn't mean ngs is somehow good moron
>plenty of other action rpgs
You forget ONLINE and MMO, which they all do this.
>have to lug around inventories of fodder. updoot fodders. catalyst fodders. component fodders
>one mistake and your gear become paperweight
>the entire system is suicide to interact with outside of boost weeks
>no poorgay option that's only 0.25% worse
kek pso2's gearing was a real frickin trip. globabs had NO fricking idea and they dodged that entire meteor because the game just updated too fast. i also just coasted on welfare until the end of ep6
>globabs had NO fricking idea and they dodged that entire meteor because the game just updated too fast
SEGA treated old PSO2 release like advertisement for NGS.
>lightspeed through a decade of content to give newcomers the illusion the new game will have stuff to do
what was the goal? pissing everyone off?
Making these deluded players think investing on New Genesis would end up same scale as old PSO2 in future.
pump and dump obviously
people still bought scratches in pso2 hoping they'll be good in ngs
No one knew ngs was coming out when they bought scratches actually.
They basically stealth dropped NGS when we were in the last episode of base on global. And once they did a huge chunk of the playerbase immediately dropped off because they felt like they were wasting their time playing base at all now.
In the meantime the bots were running wild and crashing the entire economy which is probably still an issue because morons working at sega have 0 fricking idea how to deal with it.
>the funny purple guy released who spawned only during the rain
honestly sitting around on the west aelio cliffs while waiting for one of those guys to spawn was the most fun i had in ngs, only time that the game felt relatively social
but then they had to make the weather actually random instead of possible to predict and have people saying when the next one will be and the whole thing fell apart
yeah I remember channels being full and talking shit all the time
it was fun for a brief period of time but people quickly started going afk or just skipping
it's so ironic and sad how it had the complete opposite effect. after the bubble bursted, people, TO THIS DAY, couldn't cope with the realization that no game in the world will ever update at that speed forever. especially not a next gen game by the same team that struggled to maintain a PS2 looking ass game previously
all the morons at sega had to do was let pso2 sit around for at least 5 years so people have time to digest it, then launch ngs so it'd start with a complete planet and a better foundation than the shitshow in 2021
wdym classes? gu is probably still dead but ranger is a top tier class that just got even more ridiculous.
In a way, the short time that Blaze Shot got buffed pisses me off because that is the national anthem for those frickers.
>i also just coasted on welfare until the end of ep6
Hell, I'm doing that in NGS. kek. There is no reason to bother with the system, as... like you said... it's utter shite.
you can get by with welfare equipment and minmaxxers who mostly play dollhouse will still seethe. They only do it because they want to look like they do something else than erp.
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy: Sega listens to the most vocal b***hing, takes 1-2 years to implement the b***hing, and then the b***hers have already left or the shit doesn't move the needle for them.
i agree with you, but people also b***hed after getting equipment to bypass BP reqs and participate for free
not sure what the right move is here
>not sure what the right move is here
The right move was telling the min-maxxers to eat shit and kick rocks.
>What could be a 15 minute run turns into 50
>Time limit: 60 mins
Then don't fricking go into an UQ with no party if you're not committed to spending an hour in it, dork.
Go frick yourself, Leech. Seeing morons like you getting one shot by a weak attack while you do 1 damage is the reason BP existed in the first place.
you're the moron who takes a dead game seriously. Please revaluate your life.
Says the moronic that refuse to use the most basic shit and expect everyone to carry a moronic leech like you.
I haven't played NGS since Kvaris and I am not the same person. I used to take BP seriously back then because I share your frustrations. Please play better games.
nta but same. play better games
BP is a godsend. You are certainly not here when players were running TRASH in UQ back in base. What could be a 15 minute run turns into 50 because half of the MPA are using fricking Hiei Sou in a Profound or Persona Dark Falz run. Frick that noise.
Maybe it's part masochism, but I (sometimes) liked having to carry with less people within reason. Like if it was 8 players but two were undergeared shitters.
i get what you're saying. it's not masochism. if i ran something with a bunch of dpslets in ff14 for example my emotion would be a mix of dread and "shit my dick's big!" it validates your gear and performance in a sense because otherwise it's you getting carried
still dont even know how the frick the BP system works
Literally just play the game, there's no super science to it. Just do the bare minimum and play the game.
With enough experimenting, you can cobble together shitty, long since useful capsules on units and somehow stumble into an EQ. The maths for their fricking system doesn't make sense sometimes.
>somehow stumble into an EQ
That's cause the huge lion share if you're BP comes from your level and skill points assigned. The pecking order goes like this, from most impact to least impact
Level>Skill points assigned>weapon rank and level>Armor rank and level> weapon potential level>augments
Of those 6 things that impact your BP, 5 of them, 5 of them are things you are not only expected to doing to begin with, they are things that you've already been doing by just playing the game casually.
>get better gear
>allocate all your class skill points
>then put high-tier capsules on that gear
SEGA will die before they change, and that death isn't happening soon enough
deus on release was an actual gear check, loser too when people were too moronic to do the mechanics and bring mirage or fricked up breaking his chest
We shouldn't balance games around the lowest common denominator that will mash one attack and go about their day. I had fun playing Twin Machine Guns as if it were DMC-lite. NGS can't offer me anything with that much flair and combo variety.
what combo variety
this is Gu high level play and if you look at the bottom palette it's just the same 3 buttons flashing
That was the Main reason gunner in base was able to get away with only having one real weapon worth using on gunner.
>>new game requires better hardware
>>new content means larger file size
Stupid fricking /vg/ troon. The problem is that you needed to download NGS to play base PSO2 which had lower hardware requirements and took up less space.
>people
>forced everyone to upgrade their spec, killing toaster players
This is honestly the worst part of the "upgrade" to NGS. What was great with PSO2 was how easy it was to run, players with bad to decent PCs could play.
Also, PSO2 looked better than NGS does.
PSO2 honestly still looks pretty solid in its old graphics, it's really all in the shading/lighting they did even if individual assets didn't look good plus some good presentation effort.
Then NGS happened.
I want to go back
I hate the need to have every game have "good" graphics, it's always shit.
>troony cm outright advertise and promote his dj crap while using his position
he saved himself as the closing act for a live in game concert. the same concert featured someone who had music in both Sonic games and the movie.
Gwiz was the one who took down Syberbolts channel. You'll see in the new Turkey Tom video.
>pso2 western community
>literally virtue signal at every opportunity
>no fun allowed when it comes to costumes
>playing japanese game while hating anything japanese
>pso2 western community
>global was full of slurs and lewd art chat spam despite the constant whining from youtubers and redditors
Yes.
It's so bad they can't afford losing any more players.
>but muh whales that keeps the game alive
Shut the frick up.
They banned a good amount of whale during year 1, so they already kill a good amount of cash flow
Wow. Ultra PSO2 didn't even make a blip. It filled up the ships and some blocks, but then once it was over people left again.
Everyone got spoiled by the 200% rare drop bonus for 5 days and ten +100% boosts for one hour every week. Having +300% RDR did wonders. The drops at Rayjord Gorge were insane for someone catching up.
Yet SEGA managed to frick that up with faulty TORCHES that crashed game for everyone regularly.
>lower player count than fricking Grand Chase
How do you frick up this bad?
Grand fricking Chase is still alive?
EoS when?.
I want a private server with less moronic devs.
PSO2 went to shit after episode 3 and I miss it
Same.
Syberbolt makes these threads to stroke his own ego. The OP is always the same image with a similar question then goes right into replying to himself about trannies and his channel. Narcissistic behavior.
who?
rip pso2
I can't even begin to imagine the amount of copium required to still play this absolute dumpster fire.
Especially when the main faces of your game is some bald and fat troony that looks like chrischan
I was banned for bringing up USS liberty so frick them to hell and back.
Combat looked good to me, not sure if it was a downgrade from the previous game but was amazing
EVERYTHING else... lol
They will tell you NGS combat is shit, but then brings up they main Luster in Base.
>hunter evolved into "hold overcharged spiral edge to win a fight"
>high performing class only because of that
The one saving grace for PSO2 is that its still an overall great character creation simulator, but even that has it's work cut out for it because your creative freedom is directly tied to the player market.
I never played NGS, they just turned everything into the classes from Hero onward?
>Have multiple different PAs that was specialized for all different types of bosses
>Only get three PAs in NGS
I'm still angry
i wish there was a private server for base PSO2
frick NG
This can only happen when NGS get EOS'd.
>I think in time it has room for potential.
It says a lot when they told us in the interview that a good amount of year before and during NGS was making the CS. Sadly, the gameplay and content for NGS suffer for it as a result.
Honestly, I think even without CS in development Sega would not have done much at all to improve the quality of the gameplay and content.
I wish I could finish grinding base classes to 100 from 80-85 but the base population crashing on non-PSO2 days means that's impossible because even THEN people just run cradle instead of lower stuff to help lower classes get to cradle level.
Can't you just do the daily quests to build up keys?
Yeah, but rainbows/4million a pop are 1/4 chances.
Doing 10-20million by yourself is painful once you've seen how fast doing Cradle is. Supposedly another UQ under it for UH instead of XH is good for 80-85 to hit cradle.
I got like 4-10 levels off one Cradle due to PSE bursts in the middle of it during Ultra PSO2 day two weeks ago and have gotten spoiled on that speed since.
why would you be a CM for a japanese game if you hate japanese people
westoids have been desperately trying to infiltrate jp culture to destroy it
for the amount of money and effort that has gone into this, their results are laughable at best
Why would anyone be so obsessed with some random troony that has nothing to do with how shit a game is.
gwiz is working hard today
Syberbolt it’s time to let it go
bets on when the game will die?
Their plan they laid out pre launch means probably next year. No PSO game has been set up to be developed indefinitely.
>announce wrapping up developing new battle content at 2nd half of 2024 but still push cosmetics and creative space build parts
>no more new cosmetics at end of 2024
>2025 announce eos
It's definitely slow and painful one.
I recently started playing this and I joined a /vg/ alliance when I entered their voice chat I expected mouthbreathing nerds sprouting /misc/ jokes 24/7 but surprisingly it was filled to the brim with actual crazy women talking about rare drops and making fun of other players this is the first game when I decided to play with Ganker it had way more women on it than men which is insane stay away from this game unless you want to be surrounded by crazy Ganker women
hey alright
christ that image is worse than most nightmares I've had.
Funny how people think fondly of Base but forget how incredibly ugly and off setting most of the characters are, beside CAST. NGS has way more variety when it comes to look.
unironically this a recent problem because sega fricked the engine post-launch
base wasn't pretty, correct, but it wasn't anally ugly like it is now
if you're ugly in pso2 then you're ugly in ngs. Some people just don't have an eye for beauty. They have no concept of facial structure, cheekbone placement, the size of face, jawline, etc.
Anyone that uses black lipstick is ugly btw
Lord, I love this. A new nightmare behind every corner
And literal hentai artists. Not complaining. https://twitter.com/maidoll/status/818015592229675009
is this true?
i think i will try the game now....
>he thinks they're actually women
And that's why /vg/ is a mental ward, a.k.a
>Oh am gee Stacy can you believe that b***h is dating my ex bf?!? What a fricking prostitute
and literally
i had a similar experience they were all fat with giant breasts and asses was very gross all fat tiddy hags being bitter in VC
cutting your dick off does not make you a woman. moron.
they were biofems u dumbass idiot stupid dummy idiot
I played with channers when PSO2 was young and I think I was the only person playing a male character in about 40 people. I kinda doubt many of them were actually girls.
>Women
>/vg/ alliance
You type like an underaged homosexual, or worse a troongay.

If you like PSU, sure.
it controls nicely enough
there's no content though
pso 1 is still the best
pso 1 also had no content but it was more fun
>install game
>login
>see this
>logout
>uninstall
This shit right here is what really gets me.
You have all the creative freedom in the world, and most of what you will see on the global server are abominations like this thing running around spamming that on screen shout box with their god awful character. Not even an outlier, but several deviants with similar bimbofied, overtly obese freaks.
The global community is so mentally ill that they probably, genuinely find these kinds of characters attractive. And it makes me sick.
>several
they're like 10% of the game's population at this point, nobody is moderating this shit anymore so they started nesting in NGS like furries do in second life.
according to one of them there's a whole discord community full of preggo/vore/whatever deviants
god ZAMN
downloading right now!!!!!
>it's not a penguin or some other kind of bird girl
The thumbnail lied to me.
The frick is that bird?
A male greater sage-grouse. Females don't do the chest thing.
Weird he has boobs
yes.
because PSO2 was better and PSO2 died for this shit.
>gwiz cleans his twitter before his expose comes out
guilty guilty guilty
Don't forget when he deleted every post on his reddit and then claimed it was "hacked"
>killed icon chat
>worse gameplay than PSO2
>shit story, at least PSO2 was ok for a shonen-tier cliche anime story
>HORRIBLE PC optimization. will melt/overclock your CPU
>literally no real content for 3 years
>playerbase is whales and troons playing dressup
it killed PSO2. IT's really sad, because PSO2 was kino when it released on the west releasing the episodes periodically.
You forgot the part where NGS started shitting up PSO2 from the moment it was announced.
>NGS is coming, so I have no reason to actually do content instead of idling all day
>NGS is coming, so why would I do Divide Quests
>NGS is coming, so I'll never learn the augment system and beg for gear handouts instead
>PSO2 was kino when it ran at 10 times its actual speed!
based global moron
content droughts, whales and troons playing dressup, idling in lobby until uq and shit braindead gameplay perfectly encapsulate what pso2 was and what ngs is now. actually i'll give it to ngs for not having shitter enablers like lifesteal and insurance on every class. yet.
PC optimization. will melt/overclock your CPU
you forgot how it nuked some people's hard drives for no reason
Did they add a casino yet
It's a shame. I liked how stupid you could make yourself look in both PSO2s.
cradle up
no it's good, people hate it cause it's not a hamster wheel game. equipment progression is shit though, there's no point in upgrading your gear since you always get free stuff that can handle the latest content.
>people hate it cause it's not a hamster wheel game
it's worse than a hamster wheel game because there's fricking nothing to do but circle combat areas killing things endlessly, do urgent quests/leciel killing the same bosses on loop, or do limited quests when they pop up repeatedly. like you're literally spinning your wheels and have been since the game's launch, they just come up with a single new boss for it every several months and then reuse more PSO2 bosses.
>"we are not planning on adding any photon arts"
>make an entire fricking robot exoskeleton extra combat mode instead that seems to serve as a whole extra class
hey you frickwits, the problem this game has is that people sub-class for a few side skills and some mobility/spread options, but generally most players stick to one or two classes, maybe level the rest. that's why your variety fricking sucks because unless you're a hunter or fighter you've got like two weapons of abilities that generally have like 2-3 attacks used ad Infinium on everything and NOTHING for weapon gearing really changes that whatsoever.
>Custom PA
>turning PAs into something different
oh yeah you're right about that, turning my hunter gameplay into just "overcharge spiral edge because 99% of the time nothing beats it in DPS" was such a welcome fricking change
AH! BOOB?!?!
NO ONE'S EVER BEEN ABLE TO SUMMON IT
>these posts
smells like /vg/ in here
>NOOOO YOU CAN'T CRITICIZE THE GAME
>THAT MAKES YOU /vg/
I don't even go over there and you're moronic. I stick around because I'm trying to finish grinding my base classes from 80 to 100 (have like 8 left) but once that's over, NGS is being uninstalled because it's clear Sega has no fricking idea what to do with it after they fricked up the initial launch.
why would you grind in a dead game without any boosters? Are you mental (rhetorical)
Sunk cost fallacy and I was already doing the classes before NGS. I might as well see it through before throwing in the towel.
SEGA should introduce a PvP mode as a additional client like Base PSO2.
Why? So it can die a second time?
It's like the casino: Maybe it's popular in Japan (doubtful) but in Global NOBODY was there, but people keep begging for it. So Sega will all-hands it like they did the build-a-level and then that shit is a wet-fart in terms of reception for EVERYONE ELSE that is b***hing about the (right) shit to b***h about: the fricking gameplay and repetition is shitty and Sega hasn't brought anything new to the stagent air of that.
Just Attack timing removal was a mistake
It's run by a clique of reddit trannies that will ban you permanently and doxx you for saying something they don't like, even if it isn't ban worthy.

I've seen gays get mad that outfits are designed for "skinnies" and deform/clip too much for their inflation fetish characters
I've never understood the appeal of fatcats, but there sure as frick are a lot of them on ngs.
>Creating a character under ~4'9 is literally fricking illegal
Still one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in any MMO.
(you) are now in charge of the phantasy star IP how do you fix it no you cant delete NGS
copy monster hunter and release a new standalone game every few years instead of milking customers for biweekly costumes
Break things up a bit and release some of these standalone games as expansions instead of flat out new games, so people can carry over their progress and fight using the gear/levels they earned, maybe ever 4-5 years do a hard reset with a new game instead of an expansion
Delete the whole IP, it's over.
There's more, but it hurts to type it all out every time.
>cant delete NGS
>delete
Fine, I shut it down and start over again from scratch.
>PSO:BB2,
>hunters licenses return, meaning you have to pay to get online but there is nothing hidden behind a paywall otherwise. dont even have to pay for the game itself
>plethora of great clothing options, but no cash shops aside some exp and pa boost items
>combat is literally psobb #2, same 3 attack system with a 4th special attack that replaces PA's thats specific to the weapon and the direction you hold
>techs take some influence from Psp2i's system to keep building their strength, but not as broken
>techniques gain different functionalities over time as you level them (yes thats coming back) making it worth actually grinding them ex:lvl 1 barta hits only 3 enemies, lvl 10 barta can hit 4 but also has a chance to freeze, lvl 30 barta splits in 2, higher chance to freeze, hits even more enemies etc etc.
>the weapon you use matters again for its special and its activation chance, meaning redsword and things like it can be relevant hunts again
>hit system returns but is less of a issue so much as it is SOLELY an aid to let special attacks hit.
Dont see you coming up with something, unless you're a mad 3rd worlder.
honestly not a bad idea
>just that people should have to pay into it to incentize sega to DO SOMETHING
MASS ATTACK QUEST STAGE 5, SPONSORED BY AOL
No... Sega is just full of dogshit and greed.
relink is a game that was supposed to be out 5 years ago, it was finally finished after 5,000 delays and all the time in the world to cook and refine instead of being developed alongside of a running mmo and seamlessly appended to the end of it
i don't want to sound like a segay whiteknight, but the two are simply not comparable in their development circumstances
Yeah, it also costs 60 burgers upfront, did you even read what I was replying to? (you didn't)
yes its the same shit, just make a good fricking game without having the monetization as a priority and thats it, sega couldnt even make a decent game with ngs
>Release shit game
>morons throw money at you
>"Damn all this money we're earning, there must be something wrong with our game"
Exquisite idea anon.
make a successor to pso 1
ignore psu/psp/ps0/pso2/ngs when doing it
Call in a B-29 bomber with a nuke for SoJ's HQ and ride it down like Major Kong.
Add PvP
Turn it back into a Sci-Fi fantasy JRPG
Why, a based anon here, I see. I would do the same and follow Kodama's ideas plus taking inspiration from scrapped concepts too.
it's just gwiz having a meltdown again now that he's going to be the topic of three lolcow channels. he insists the grifter's shitcord raids Ganker. projection at the fullest if you frequent the general.
This will never happen.
I know, the question was a hypothetical one anyways.
I quit pso2 early on but isn't gwiz that fat old troony that looks like chris chan? Should probably just kill himself and just get over with the inevitable.
I don't even consider the post of that fool. He can't read.
No, frick you. Turn it back into hard sci fi, like 2.
Fighting game featuring mainly base pso2 characters to cash in on the IP, but then add in characters from other PS games via the season pass
ignore everything outside pso1.
>Make PSO EPV
>Keep it like the original PSO
>Add more contents (new maps, mobs and items)
>Make a sub-episode in it called VR (with VR support)
>Use that sub-episode to test and add new feature taken from Dark Souls/Bloodborne
>Profit
20k hours Jp player here.
All of NGS was temporary, if you start now you already missed the bulk of the game which was limited content that came and went.
And if you're still holding on the copium that they're still filling the game with content, well you're an irredeemable idiot.
>current players during dead hours is higher than NGS's all time peak
i can't even say "grim", good for grub
frick sega
You just don't get it, anon. NGS is good enough we don't need those pla-AHHHHHHHHHHH HELP ME SEGA.
Do you like doing FATEs in ffxiv?
Would you like a game that is literally nothing but that?
At this point I enjoy the gameplay well enough, some of the fights like pretty much all the falz ones are done well, but it's just so directionless. Open world was an incredible mistake because they did very little with it, and leciel exploration is the best content this fricking game has had in a while for better or worse.
divide/proto-leciel it was the only good content in pso2 too. it was a miracle they somehow had the intuition to bring it back this early
just beat dark falz when does the story end and how can i craft good shit? ive been running around with just the weapon handouts and the game fricking vomits all these things at you that i dont know whats for what or what should i just chuck away
You're still a a good amount of chapters away from the latest end point of the story. Don't craft until you're level 85.
i'm like level 67 does something happen at 85?
No
GREAT
You hit max level. That it
Where the frick did you guys get the turkey tom part
I dropped it after they stopped including regions on "big" updates and started gifting you strong welfare stuff.
Not gonna return, not until they decide to EoS so that I can take a lot of screenshots of my character.
there's two working private servers ready to launch when eos comes. One is purely pso2 up to episode 6 and the other is just NGS.
Why are they holding off? Politeness?
I'd just drop that shit in the wild and let it ride. Willing to bet there's at least one or two teams out there who could do more with both games than Sega's been doing.
They will get lawsuited to death. Did you not heard the tale of how the SMT MMO private server got shutdown? Or fricking hell, Nostalrius?
They have a business reason to C&D and nuke any private server code and sue whoever hosts it right now.
they aren't making it open source. trannies are running it. Ones a self proclaimed socialist too.
>Why are they holding off? Politeness?
Sega/MS would C&D it so fast your head still wouldn't understand why.
>go online
>everyone's some fricking big breasts fortnite anime skin doing psuedo tiktok dances in front of a shop
>they do this almost all fricking day as in i could leave for a few hours to grind or play another game and come back
>THEY'RE STILL THERE
does anyone actually play this game or is it one big erp simulator?
people afk to boost playtime so their arguments can't be refuted. when they do manage to play they either take "perfect screenshots" with heavy visual overhauls installed or they use client sided sex animations and frick randos in public. the YouTubers and sega moderators participate. It's an open secret. Sega doesn't do anything about it because it makes them money. NGS is weeaboo second life.
a reminder that the content creators record themselves dropping $300 every week on gacha elements then cry about no actual content coming down the pipeline.
>keeps the same drop rate even though 95% of the expected playerbase has dropped
i think they actually woke the frick up because drop rates in february have been insanely good
i got more 10* weapons/9* armor than i know what to do with, and someone who doesn't drop them can just buy them for peanuts on the market or trade pity mats for them after a while
it should've always been like this instead of whatever the frick this was. sega is one of those companies that tortures the playerbase with moronic mechanics then backs off when it's too late. really reminds me of nexon
667542896
667543024
>call them leech
>LOL PLAY A DIFFERENT GAME
morons, everyone
The only moron here is the one who still plays NGS seriously (you)
I bet you make great decisions in everyday life too.
And we are not talking about NGS. This is Base, moron. The entire moronic shit like you leeching is the reason BP is a thing now.
but I didn't leech back when I played. I minmaxxed gear. I just stopped because it's not worth it. The game is bad.
have a nice day
>the dead mmo whale is mad others don't share his viewpoint and follow in his footsteps to minmax combat in a Barbie doll game
I still play NGS. I log in every day. I clear every daily and weekly. I grind out all the events. I wish I didn't.
Just stop. It's really that easy.
I used to do the same in GBO2 and simply just uninstalling and never touching it again was liberating
Come on, anon. PSO has spawned countless games with it's formula. There are tons of games to help ween you off NGS:
>Granblue Fantasy Relink plays like a modern PSO would
>Genshin Impact does everything NGS tries to do but better
>Monster Hunter has been carrying the formula for so long that most people think that its the origin
>Ephinea Servers for PSO is keeping that game alive and kicking
>Warframe has a unique sci-fi setting along with an incredible power fantasy.
All of those games are far better way to spend your time.
Different anon. Character Creation is simply unmatched.
>but muh character creation
Really? That's the ONLY thing that stops you from playing a different game?
>Black Desert Online
>final fantasy 14
>Warframe still because fashion frame is end game
>Skyrim so you can be a coomer with mods
>The fricking SIMS
Character creator is not an excuse
i have more hours in ff14 than this game. its customization options were trash and it's undergoing the mother of all content droughts (has been for the entire endwalker postgame actually)
also tab target is gaygier than any form of action combat. that's without mentioning they already gutted every class and fight this expansion
i guess i could play mh wilds and dd2, the problem is they aren't out yet
There's also the fact that you can play Ngs with out a subscription, so it's not like you feel like you have to keep playing Ngs to get the most out of your sub out of obligation. One the the nice things about Pso2 and ngs that, you can always just put it down a good moment and pick it back up later.
that's a good point. subscription model + WEEKLY drip fed gear + 2 hours of content every 6 months was a hell of a shit combination. i felt like i was paypigging for my gear at times and letting my sub tick away meaninglessly some other times
a game like this is easier to pick up and drop
>final fantasy 14
literally 95% of your customization is trying to figure out how to best get loot drops from dungeons/raids/endless repetition, the actual character customization itself is so rudimentary and barebones even the creators are admitting they want to expand it but simply can't
the big thing about PSO2/NGS is how agnostic your customization can be to ridiculous extents without having to tie it down to leagues of gear hunting, even if gacha scratch is a million times worse morally
>spawned countless games with its formula
>not a single one succeeds at the one thing that will peel me off the pso2 shitshow: character customization
Fricking christ, all of you had ONE job
>I play games to dress up my character
just play with Barbie dolls???
i play games for whatever the frick reason i want. i want to hunt bosses and look good while doing it.
actually made me lol. looks like the leftovers still playing are as cringe as ever
Genshin impact does everything breath of the wild tries to do but better. Not Ngs.
Both Genshin and NGS were attempting to copy BOTW. Genshin succeeded and now NGS is desperately trying to copy Genshin. Pic related is the most clear proof of this.
this was more like an attempt to kill blue protocope and it was a success
>assuming that SEGA had a plan to "kill" a game before it released instead of copying superficial elements from other more successful games in a vane attempt to be "hip".
No it doesn't, it clashes with the environment and makes characters look gaudy. But I suppose a moron like you would think "more different = more bettered"
The trick is to not go full cel shade.
Nope, still looks like shit, thank god they allow you to turn it off for everyone.
That same "no regard attitude" is why episode 4-6 of PSO2 weren't nearly as good, and why 90% of the cosmetic items are also shit.
the problem with the game is many of its players cannot customize their character worth a shit, that's where celshading steps in and salvages their shit sliders. most likely yours too.
episode 6 was good. you're just a troony snowflake Black person.
>Cell-shading is good because people can't make good looking characters
?????
Also episode 6 in a nutshell:
>"ohoho I am Shiva and I am unstoppable "
>get told about plot mcguffin that stops her
>"ohoho I was one step ahead of now here's a meaningless bossfight"
>repeat 20 times until suddenly profound darkness
i want megumi han's voice to step on me
common frickups like bad eye distance, constipated lips, ugly as frick israelite noses are largely alleviated by simplifying the face lighting. heavy stylization also makes it easier to overlook proportion disasters because they pass as a cartoon character now
>it clashes with the environment
If you're a moronic zoomer maybe because old cartoons and anime did cel-shaded characters against painted background and it came out great every time.
Cel Shading is unironically good in NGS, though. All Base fashion and CAST looks great under that effect.
They aren't trying to copy Genshin on anything, the issue with NGS, is that they been on life support with no budget ever since Sega took a gamble on Sakura wars and siphoned funds into that gacha that lost them millions.
>One shitty gacha game forever changes things for Sega and possibly caused them to rush out the massive pile of shit known as NGS
There's also Clementine. I feel like PSO2 fans would enjoy PSU more than PSO1
PSO was a Diablo clone
i'm stuck in the same situation, mostly because of a sunk cost fallacy
>game deliberately hand you the basic gear to do shit like profound
>refuse to use it and use trash instead
>wonder why everyone keep switching MPA while your MPA is stuck at 5/12
>tfw forgot to backup syberbolt video
Skill issue
Probably about as alive as a random Korean MMO you haven't heard about in years. No actual numbers anyway.
>boycotting the game like they did in ep5
wut?
ep5's reception in japan was nuclear meltdown tier. the game nearly imploded and the director had to apologize on a stream
hero, the class balance and the isekai garbage were just that hated
>You could make better world trials, with actual enemies, design actual raids involving special limit time events on the over world,
they've done all that in various forms and it works for a week and a half till people are geared up and then go back to the dailies
inconvenient truth: dailies need to go
Limited quests aren't actual raids.
gigantix during storms and ancients were essentially raids
>A raid would be something like plague star or scarlet spear in warframe
what you've said is nontense to me
>something that happens like one a year or so last two or 3 weeks, is a completely unique enemy farm, boss fight, etc
that's verbatim any limited time quest, except you're saying it should only be available once? except you say farm inferring it should be more than once
rest of what you're saying just sounds, i dunno, really lame
i don't want to do that, i am not excited about that at all
that sounds like a you wanting something that you did somewhere else, i didn't do that, so what you're describing is nothing that i have nostalgic feelings for, it just sounds kinda pathetic
Honestly I just want some sort of combat refinement that isn't just mashing a couple attacks for fairly mindless damage sponges, and content that has beginning and end points that actually feel cohesive instead of circling combat areas endlessly. What
says ties into this; you're just expected 90% of your run time to log in, go grab some shit, feed yourself and the region mag, then run in circles killing things and getting PSE bursts before fricking off until there's limited/urgent shit you feel like doing.
There's nothing here but the gear game that is either rare drop hell of 0.005% chances or buying shit on the shop, and the progression is so fricked that they regularly just shortcut it for freebies every so often so there's no point in actually playing what little variety of content there is anyway.
yeah it's kinda dreadful, but i also couldn't think of any point in both pso2 and ngs' lives that the game loop was any different
no matter how many meme names they come up for their quest types the majority of them are still
>kill random shit
>go to boss room then kill boss
i don't deny it's repetitive but combat areas makes it easy to start and stop whenever which i guess is something
i think a couple more side things like leciel would be good. i wanna see what the new quest shit in march is
tl;dr but just from the first sentence i can tell your post is safe to discard
never post again in your drug and hrt induced hysteria
I want you to actually my read my post in it's entirety, then look at
, and tell me if that assessment about Sega's fanbases is still wrong.
summarize your post in two short sentences no longer than 10 words each or less
You are a fricking idiot. PSO2 (and NGS) are build from PSU philosophically (game design wise), which mean EVERYTHING in those games are TRASH, there is NOTHING to save from it.
It's like someone asking to make a good dish with poop, no matter how hard you try, it's IMPOSSIBLE.
Way to prove my fricking point.
>Animation = DOG SHIT
>Texture = DOG SHIT
>Music = DOG SHIT
>Gameplay = DOG SHIT
>Character Design and ART = DOG SHIT
>Perfomance = DOG SHIT
>Content = DOG SHIT
>Story = DOG SHIT
Even when they try to remaster take older items (classic) they still end up botching them.
Like for god sake, take a look at a character running in PSO 1 on Dreamcast and compare to PSO 2 and look how stupid and ridiculous it is, literal downgrade.
How can a fricking moron defend this?
>inb4 "BUT SEGA ALWAYS MAKES GOOD MUSIC!"
Only song that actually slaps in NGS is the Meteorn's song which only plays in a dead UQ
Which is still a far cry from what SEGA (and Sonic Team) used to give us:
Absolutely based
It's fricking shit. The track that somehow sounds better than the rest of the NGS OST is actually Creative Space BGM of all things.
Yes
Episode 4 is the best story
Why did sega let one mentally ill troony (ikr) kill it's game?
Sega of america probably hire them as a diversity hire or part of the package deal with the Microsoft partnership.
PSU was 1000x better than PSO2 ever was. And you can still play! On Clementine
>play a bit, make a second character after not liking the first
>oh you can't access My Room and your inventory storage is permanently fricked because clementine has a glitch with that shit that happens regularly, stuff only really works for your first slot character
Wow you really proved NGS/PSO2 isn’t still complete shit in comparison to PSU
not trying to compare the two, just my frustrations with clementine honestly unless that wasn't a sarcastic remark. honestly PSU isn't really much better, it just had more of an actual comfy MMO feel and that doesn't mean much for gameplay I consider to be even more mindless and awkward than both PSO1 and 2, it took them til Portable 2 to REALLY make something good with it
I dont play it for 1+ year now but let me take a wild guess
>every 2 months or so a new event where enemies get an icon on their head and when you kill them you get points to buy stuff on the event shop
>nothing happened in the story
am I right?
if you mean you stopped after the Zephetto stuff last year, then basically yeah. they updated the regions to have new tiers with Starless enemies that are even more annoying than dolls, some bits of new bosses or stuff here or there, but still fundamentally the same shit that has seasonals except now they tripled down on limited time quests every other month to FOMO people into playing more often.
as for the story, uhh, Aina has teaching problem confidence as an instructor and Manon wanted to fricking kill herself, and that's all folks
>Starless enemies that are even more annoying than dolls
i think dolls are too tame but i like most starlesses. except for Max homosexual. this ADHD kid could dodge fast moving projectiles just with its idle and keel over animations
this shit needs to stay in ep5/6
>game keeps pushing out faster and faster bosses like we're in nearing PSO2 endgame and shit's already faster than most MH fights
>all we've got all game long is the fricking photon dash and weapon action counters that can barely keep up with it anymore
fricking why
that's not true, you're teaching aina how to put on diapers and now she's finally learning to walk
>/itt/ anons talk more about gameplay discussions and state of ngs than fricking /psog/
The difference is stark, and yet it just proves the erp community is the rot that infests that general
you should check out the xiv general too. there's a reason Ganker is the only place you can talk about that game
mmo generals are a containment zone
/pso2g/ is entirely made up of discord trannies, horse wiener frickers and Gwiz
I fear /mhg/ is on its way to become the goon central too since returntoworld# campaign. The troon homosexualry took up a notch in the last few weeks. Even /mhg/ threads on Ganker is better than the general itself.
But i like posting my brown huntress and people telling me how much they want to frick her.
>attention-prostitute gay
fricking have a nice day
please no... don't infect MH..
mhg already got raped by consolewar zoomers anyway
no one uses /pso2g/ unless you're part of the one alliance shitting up the thread or a lolcow
Most sane players just dump their character screenshot or their maint picture and fricks off.
Why don't they just make pso3?
pso3 will never ever come to the west if they do
SEGA has all the license from the collab and refuse to pay again. Calling NGS PSO2 was a loop hole in their master plan.
>pre-NGS
>everything was fine and enjoyable
>post-NGS
>everything goes to shit
SEGA fricked up and the game will never recover from it because they haven't done anything meaningful to fix anything. Quit the game a week in after NGS happened.
it was the same stale shit unless you're a globabby who lucked out with playing a super accelerated version of pso2 where all of its problems zoomed by too fast for you to notice
I played on jp since release, pso2 is so much better than ngs its not even funny. At least the events felt unique and the story was decent
The events were all kill trash mobs then kill boss slop and the story was moronic anime shit. Art direction was all over the fricking place in ep3/4/5 too
>ngs baby trying to lie to make his game look better
I had 3k hours in base and barely 200 in ngs. The game was always fricking trash with customization as its only grace.
>using game hours as any argument
truly a global baby
I play on jp (and not on a reddit ship like shit2)
EP6 had its issues, no one will argue that. The plot wrapped shit up too fast and conveniently, way too much content was just repackaged old content with a new difficulty tier, and the loot game was already getting streamlined and boiled down to small tidbits of shit really badly. But it still was a fairly solid state for the game to be in and it was slowly recovering. Shit, PSO2 STILL had its fanfests in JP that were high in population number and they even had the Oracle anime that covered half the story, it looked like it was on a steady recovery!
Then NGS happened and it's like they just skullfricked everything away for Hamazaki's "big return".
aegis and leciel bgms are both fine Black folk
Kill your fricking self.
>but I guess that's too difficult for some morons?
really makes you think, eh?
Didn't read, just fricking have a nice day already.
pso2 and that gay iframe dodge button shit can get out of my pso
Maybe gameplay-wise at its core because PSO1 has more in common with Ocarina of Time combat than the DMC-wannabe PSO2 became, but no, PSO's best possible futures are taking lessons from Monster Hunter and Diablo to iterate on a dungeon crawling action RPG with decent loot again and big, fun bosses, instead of this shit.
This reminds me of how kino Cathedral of the Sacred Blood was
>it's just not set in futuristic space environment
critical mistake
futuristic space = i will play your game
someone should make space BB and NOT put it on the goystation
>space eldritch combat
>underwater combat zones in space
>eldritch cities
>spaceship fights
>world-hopping
>dream/nightmare zones
>BB sanity mechanic
Reread what I said:
>The only difference would be the "dodge/roll" mechanic added/importance, that is mostly from BB onward, since DS1 wasn't really made with that in mind first (position, manual evasion, blocking and dodging).

If you can't read, then are you doing here? go to /b/ where you belong
i read the whole post
you're not as enlightening as you're trying to present yourself as
derivative games tend to derive from predecessors WOAHHH
>derivative games tend to derive from predecessors WOAHHH
Yeah no shit, thanks for proving my point.
Not my fault if you are moronic, again, go to /b/ if a gaming discussion is too difficult for you, fricking zoomer with brain rot.
>Yeah no shit, thanks for proving my point.
you're welcome, i approve so much of the dumb shit you said, you were right or something?
now you can shut up about it and take your gay iframe stuff and keep you and your kin away from my pso that i've been playing much longer than you have
>your gay iframe stuff and keep
proof that this moron didn't read anything, god damn zoomer
>been playing much longer than you have
KEK, knowing I was playing on Dreamcast back then, back in the time of Broomop and co....
>He act like he know all the post I made in this thread
You are really a special kind of moron, aren't you?
Yeah You Are Only Marginally Smarter Than Broomop Because You Don't Type The First Letter Of Every Word Capitalized Like He Did
>and then they say I'm the one "not really contributing anything"
To be honest, that's expected, almost guaranteed that this is the ephinea crowd that I talking to, which doesn't surprise me, turbo spergs will never change I guess.
Remember that this is because of you, morons, that many mods are still locked out for PSO. Have fun being stuck on PSOBB contents until the end of time, when almost all other older SEGA franchises (JSR, PD, Sonic etc...) have new contents and engine ports.
Literally the definition of "cancer".
You are a disgusting subhuman, which is why I can't even tell you to leave, because on Ganker I'm sure you feel right at home.
>To be honest, that's expected, almost guaranteed that this is the ephinea crowd that I talking to
so you think you're right about everything you've posted in the thread?
what are the chances that it's all been wrong? cause let me tell you, trying to pull rank on me a mistake, you're embarrassing only yourself because you being the same species as me isn't that embarrassing, i'm used to it
try a personal assessment and reflect
>>He act like he know all the post I made
I see the brainrot is even more severe than I thought.
>brain rot
>coming from a guy looking for reasons to post souls shit in a PSO thread while not really contributing anything
>"zoomer"
Fricking hilarious, drink acid.
Stop posting this moronic garbage, there's enough moronic garbage in this thread as is.
Are they really prevalent in NGS?
ive seen cool people gradually turned trans in this game. its fricked just thinking about the before and after
>has a steady niche of 2k-4k viewers youtube channel
>turn trans out of nowhere
>career goes to complete shit and die
Has he killed himself yet? I've not heard anything about him in months.
this was a cspace i stumbled across in global
figures a game about augmenting would attract trannies
I actually had Gwiz and his troony squad try and groom me.
They kept calling me an egg and how they can't wait to "crack" me. Little did they know i'm a troony lore master and knew exactly what they were doing but played along. I just got bored of the shit game and i needed ssd space so i deleted the game and never looked back.
proofs?
>iframe is le bad
>ok then dont play the game
>*doesnt play the game by afking in lobby*
>STOP ENJOYING DOING NOTHING
>make game like my limited perspective viewpoint says it should be
no
>*screeching*
live from Inglewood California, it's GWIIIIIIIZZZZZZ
should they just put NGS on maintenance mode and start developing PSO3?
when you look at what they're currently doing with other franchises, no
ngs isn't good but they can't get any new project started in the right direction either
You guys are absolutely fricking overrun with doomers and ragebaiting homosexuals
what difference would PSO3 make if it's being made by the same moronic monkeys behind NGS
homie, NGS is already in maintenance mode, sega is just keeping the illusion that it's not.
it looks like any mid-episode drought though
just fricking retire the series, temporary or not, at that rate. every game past PSO1 besides Portable 2 was some sort of disaster and Sega just can't help themselves
>past PSO1
More like past PSO ep2. Then you got a card game and a half-assed EP4.
PSO1 was a total mess until its third version as well, it just got away with it by being cutting edge for the time
>got banned by /vg/ schizos
>still live in their heads rent free for the past 2 years
same
How did he do it?
Think if Ephinea ever makes a PSO2 server, they will make it where you can download your character data from them like they do PSO1? For some reason thats a game changer for me and would make me want to play more than official.
NGS is pso3 you morons
So... if I want ERP should I play NGS? Even if I want to play a big robot hunk, or do you need to be fem to get ERP with people who have brains?
>f I want ERP should I play NGS
Just play VRchat or secondlife.
theres something kinda cool about there actually being a game attached. Or getting to adventure alittle with your loose-dressed futuristic partner.
why do people buy scratches anymore? isnt ERP gays using mods to make the char naked?
What is Sega's "super game"? I kind of assumed it would be a new PSO, something more ambitious than NGS.
"super game" was a project not a product, they said that from the beginning but people misinterpreted because japanese people using loanwords confuses everyone
it's several games, and they announced several games recently
maimai IIDX
give me that iidx collab c**ts
I think they should make a PSO3 with a focus on roleplaying and living out a fantasy life. Let people use VR in lobby and player homes, and the rest can be a pretty good action game that they can grow from there and use ai generated quests or something ambitious and cheap.
Thoughts?
sounds fricking based minus the ai slop
i don't know why c**ts would play a social genre and seethe about people doing social shit
they should double down on the roleplaying
well I mention AI because people seem to complain about NGS content drought often and I mean we wouldnt see it untio like 2027 at the earliest
that's always been a sketchy one because if you play one class, show up to the latest quest in welfare gear and clear with 3k dps, yeah, it's a drought, if you have to make current gear you'd have to run lq/gorge/uq/duels/triggers/pse for the gear and the affixes and that's a lot of bouncing between all kinds of content. if you want money to buy shit you'd be even busier
the game's problem isn't really quantity, but quality. they had this habit of rehashing shit to death since base while cool elaborate fights like the falz bosses come out every 8 months, the incentives to farm are strictly "you want to shave off time", "you want to be a solo autist" and "you want fashion without scratching" and anyone this doesn't apply to will feel like they're done early
I think allowing players to download their ingame model to use externally, like as a vtuber avatar or in VRC would actually be a compelling move to get people interested and potentially spending more on their character. It could be good marketing to see PSO avatars saturating japanese youtube videos in the same way vroid avatars are.
Play fricking vrchat or second life
Or do us one better and have a nice day
I miss my friends
i love monthly Ganker ngs threads about the same complaints and drama. it's like a time capsule from 2 years ago!
