Is it time to buy a new gpu yet? Should I wait another couple of months to see if they get a lot cheaper?

If you want one, buy one. There is never a good time, only bad times.

Buy now, bro. RDNA3 and Lovelace cards are just going to be out of stock on launch. Pro tip though, stay away from Gigabyte cards.

You can if you want to and feel the price is right. You can also hold on longer if you want to, the 980 is still a solid card to game on. I do think prices will continue to lower.

Not worth it. There is nothing to play and new generation is around the corner.

i had really bad experience with waiting through last couple years. got 3080ti recently, pretty happy, though it's a shame how no new games take advantage of it. vidya image fidelity kinda stagnated along with gpu market, i guess you can't make a game for high-end gpus when no one has them
