I saw someone make a thread with this exact same fucking image going "LOL JUST BUMPED A CAPE THREAD OFF THE CATALOG DONT THANK ME XDDDD"
It's not marvel movies and slop, nor is it even the ever dead supers thread posted and bumped every now and then, it's the concept of superheroes and sometimes even western fucking comics in fucking general. Ever since capes left the niche of """"geek culture"""" and became a more common staple of mainstream normiedom, many a pretentious and contrarian retards have had the need to show how above they are about it, even if they're some weeb who watches every brand spanking new low brow fucking harem anime and has a room full of anime figs and shit.

Why is it okay for other generals to post art but not supers? I swear you people need to be on medication or something, back in the hay day of supers generals you could post art and not get shat on but now it's the worst thing ever. Bump your own shit threads you cock suckers.

Other Generals actually have discussion and aren't solely being bumped due to art spam. Maybe if you actually posted something to go with the art to start a discussion instead of just the same 10 images it wouldn't be a problem

How many "how do you handle X powers in your setting" questions can you handle? Plus when I DID post questions none fucking answered, on top of that the art was meant to be used in online games or to help inspire PCs and NPCs, although that's redundant since none on these generals plays fucking games, once again, blow me you ass clown. How did you contribute to the general? By being a bitch that's how!

Bumpmoron does technically post things to start discussion, it's just that he isn't actually interested in discussing things. He's a lazy nogames consoomer who just wants other people to feed him content for the sake of it. I wouldn't hate the guy if he ever actually had anything to contribute or ever took a fucking break but it's the same stream of inane questions day in and day out, some of which he's asked dozens if not hundreds of times.

                Oh ok.
Maybe instead of just art share some game stories or system musings? Or maybe since you post a lot of art give advice on finding art for games when you post. Supers threads need bumps because they're always so slow but previous styles have gotten old.

                >share some game stories or system musings?
I think I mentioned this before, but my group used to run supers games with fate core system. It was OK, I personally had a pretty good time but at some point the GM desided he wanted to heavily home brew the system at which point the games got a bit weird. I looked into other systems lately. I have actually brought this up before.
                >Or maybe since you post a lot of art give advice on finding art for games when you post
Pinterest and Artstation are my go to sources when it comes to art, there are also websites dedicated to RPs with people posting art of their characters. I generally go for art of characters who are not from the big two, or at least public domain superheroes. That said, I don't think posting the same advice over and over again will qualify as "content" by some people's standards.

                >but my group used to run supers games with fate core system
Fate seems like it would be good for that kind of thing. Was it okay because there were problems with it, or did it just not live up to the standard of other games?

                Anonymous

The "problems" I had where mostly with the GM home brew edition of Fate. The system worked well and the Fate SRD has some good optional rules for the superhero genre.

I know this isn't really related to the topic but I've never really had a "great" experience dming superhero stuff and that's mostly because my players tend to be really boring about what they choose to play.

My players always just play something with the serial numbers scratched off. And power-wise, that's fine. Every power set has been done to death, but if you're gonna be flying brick, Ala Superman, you don't need to have his personality and backstory, too.

Most supers system are point buy but my players will just always build the most basic powers nor ever take any drawbacks as well.

I too want to run a supers game and P&P seems like the perfect balance of storytelling and mechanics for something like super. It's more focused on narrative storytelling than crunchy simulation (which comic books ignore anyways). Only thing the book lacks after reading through it is tips on how to write a campaign or story, which is where I'm stuck regarding creating a campaign.

Personally I'm probably going to make mine episodic where I try to get things neatly wrapped up after one or two sessions. It'll depend on the group's interest mainly. I'm mainly unsure of what power levels to throw at them. Like is on villain a PC too much? Should I throw some minions and Foes in there? Would just one Villain and his mooks be a good challenge for 4 players? I know Adversity can kind of help with that last one, but I don't want to abuse it too much.

Personally as a gm I disliked them because I find it harder to plan around (not impossible, just more difficult) and because of the bad experiences I've had with players who use them. There was just a lot of dick moves by the copycats - just a lot of spotlight hogging and gimmick infringement with no accountability or understanding of why it was ruining other people's enjoyment.
