And that's a good thing
Starting with D1 complete and then moving to D2 on the PSP was a fricking atrocious experience. The original sprites did not age well Still a surprisingly fun game, I'd replay it if received the same HD treatment
Disgaea 1 and 2 on PC had some sprite frickery that makes the game look better and Complete is based off of the PC version, which is 3$ or less during sales.
PC version is what you play if you want the most authentic yet improved experience. Complete version just takes sprites from other games and puts them into Disgaea 1. This is fine until you realize that Disgaea 1 has a lot of unique monsters that never return. As much as I like Disgaea 2's mage I would never replace the masked skull mage from Disgaea 1. It's a special part of the game's identity.
Disgaea 1 has an identity and charm not as present or strong in later games. It's important (to me) that people experience this game as it was intended, otherwise you might just wind up not enjoying it, which would suck because no one I recommend Disgaea to winds up finished the first game.
No. Get the DS or PC version.
Why? I liked the portability of the Switch. Also I've never played a Disgaea game, dunno if that makes a difference.
The "HD" version is just a lazy sprite swap.

>The way it was meant to be!
You literally never played the original release.
Get the PC version and a Steam Deck then, gay.
if you have to ask....
not a single game from their franchise is worth more than 10$
You seem to not like these games much.
the absolute state of nintrannies
I got it for $20
I was debating on whether or not to wait for a sale.
Never got the appeal of the Diarrhea games
dicky.
I bought it for like $12 when it was on sale
Its the only good disgaea
It's the toned down raped version of Disgaea that you literally only buy if a Nintendo Switch is literally your only game device, period.
Almost worse than the Nintendo DS version for entirely different reasons. If you NEED a portable Disgaea 1, go Vita unironically.
Only if you're actually autistic.
