I'm using a 6700XT and I'm hard capping at 60s fps all current games maxed out, 1080 though, spending over 300$ for a graphic card is a meme unless you plan to do shit at 4k.
It's the most powerful GPU on the planet by a wide margin. If you want to play games at the max settings possible then that's the device to get. That simple. Probably won't be supplanted until next year.

depends on the game and if youre moronic enough to use ultra presets
pic related gets me solid 150fps in basically any recently released game. but i keep fps locked to 150 so in some games the GPU runs at 40% usage. in addition to that i always tweak ultra settings to my liking. turning off chromatic aberration, motion blur etc. and, if i don't notice a drop in fidelity, enable quality DLSS.
I bought a 3080ti and now I only play Starsector and Dota 2. All AAA games are fricking garbage nowadays
