i pirated this game back in 2010, and i enjoyed it so much that i picked it up at a garage sale for a dollar, and from there i got it on android tablet, and i even got it one more time on my ipod touch.
    fantastic game.

You just need the widescreen patch and the sound fix from PCGW and you're good to go. Might need an another fix if you use a Ryzen. After doing that, you have a kino game.

yep, you need even more fixes if you're on AMD

Never said anything negative against AMD yet still you react on perceived cue like the trained pavlovian dog you are.

Just get the version from this pack. Unrar it and play, its already patched, cracked and working, widescreen and all. You don't even have to install it, just unrar and launch

It's not a port, the problem came from it being able to literally run on windows 95, the game is old.

believe it or not win98 games mostly work on modern systems
add a community fix or two and they work flawlessly
when you hit win95 creosote, that's when you start having serious problems

Wine ? Get Steam, get Proton which is an official tool developed by Valve to play games on Linux since you're so allergic to things developed by Korean carpet weavers, and play whatever the frick Steam game you want. If you want something extra go to ProtonDB to check if some games still have trouble running with Proton.

MAX PAYNE 1 always was buggy. Just get the audio fix to have sound in the cinematics. Also, during dream sequences, always stay in the centre of the corridors or you will get stuck on the geometry.

    It's worth getting.
No, it's not the port, it's the modern hardware AND Windows that don't quite click with the year 2001 32-bit games in general.
It's however piss easy to fix using a fan patch.

    >Why do you pay for a broken game?
    It's not a broken game.
It's literally Microsoft's system that is broken.
Literally kys or go back to play on consoles if this kind of mundane task is overpowering you.
