I found it boring and repetitive.
No, no no and no, combat is so fricking dull and bad it makes the game a dreadful experience (you know you fricked it up when you neeed an aicon to tell the player an enemy is behiond the character). The story is overdone with the father and son plot and the direction is so unspired because they decided to make the whole fricking game like it was a one shot movie, so there are no fricking cuts and it gets tyring very quickly. Dont waste your money on it.

It's probably the worst out of all the "critically acclaimed AAA games" I've played. It is a genuinely bad game. The combat is terrible, the enemy "variety" is non existent (you fight the same fricking troll boss so many times holy shit). The "RPG" and gear mechanics are completely meaningless as the only thing that matters is your level. It's a poorly designed game through and through.

What's the point? You like it, I don't. Acting wise it's on a level with shitty sci fi crap like Farscape and Stargate. None of the characters are likeable - the kid is supposed to be a main motivation and I wanted to throw him off a cliff. The voice acting is a large part of it. I think it sucked, you liked it. Until this last year, it was my favorite game of this generation. It's since been bumped down to #3 because of Persona 5 Royal and Elden Ring, but its still a masterpiece.

Bit strong. It has great world building and some fun puzzles but the actual combat (the most important part) leaves a lot to be desired and there are lots of skills and equipment that are quite gimmicky and redundant. I'd give it an 8/10. Great game but not a masterpiece.

If stellar graphics can make you forgive lacking combat design, low enemy/boss variety, tacked on RPG features and braindead puzzles you may enjoy it. A typical AAA game basically.

if you like cinematic games you'll probably like it because there are some pretty flashy/over the top fight scenes; but when you get right down to it these flashy scenes are just cutscenes or "Mash X to live".
I guess. You should play the original trilogy though.
