They do it all the time. The imps in Elden Ring for example use some of the same animations as those speedy frickers in the undead settlement in DS3. And Erdtree Avatars are straight up the Stray Demon with a new model and a couple new attacks.

And the windmill village women are the generic hollows from Undead Settlement. They even make the same noises. Omens are probably modified haralds from ringed city, both wield curved swords. Trolls are DS3 giants, the holographic skeletons that shoot laser beams probably use Wolnir as a base since neither have legs, I think people connected dragonkins to something but I don't remember what. The lordsworn soldiers use some of the same animations as lothric knights.

With the amount of Imp heads it really was weird how they only had cat (based on axe Thralls) and Dog(based on Flamberg Thralls).

        Anonymous

No. Mechanically Monster hunter is the perfect serie, with a constant increase in challenge the more you play, addictive item rewards and amazing maps.
Frankly I'd be alright with all the bosses and enemies being reused in ER if it was using the same steady difficulty curve and reward system. Because how do I play ER?
I start in limgrave, it's alright for a while, then I start rolling on everything minus the bosses, then the same thing in liurnia and the academy, there's some difficulty bumps in caelid but then it equalizes again and I roll once again on everything, then another difficult spike in the plateau, then I roll on everything, then again in the mountaintop, then I roll on everything.
You'd think "well it's how difficulty works it gets harder the more you progress".

Ok but the moment I start killing everything mindlessly it stays like that for DOZEN of hours before the next difficulty spike, AND it's full of reused enemies, and repetitive places and empty fields. Elden Ring is seriously bloated in a bad way. With more than half of my playtime dying of boredom completing dungeons and open spaces without a struggle. No I wasn't using magic, I'm redoing it again no shield with a Knight's great sword and I have another half of liurnia to do and it's such a fricking BORE

My main problem is that when you are in melee range, the majority of it's attacks will now come from off screen (or just flat up clip through a wall). Also it's explosion, which has an aoe from the body but also explosions appearing on the ground far away. Most of its moves are actually very easy to read when you can see them, so it feels more like I'm fighting the camera than an actual boss. Which is annoying because if I wanted a camera challenge, I could put a blind fold on.

Is Artorias still considered to be hard compared to the average Elden Ring boss?

      Anonymous

I think Dark Souls 1 and Elden Ring bosses are difficult for different reasons. Bloodborne was my first From Software game, and the game taught me that speed is essential and that most weapons and armor can be viable for any fight.
This works just as well in Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring. Later From Software games is all about dodging and parrying enemy attacks.
Dark Souls 1 initially threw me for a loop because certain bosses will heavily punish you for bringing the wrong gear, and being able to take hits is much more viable than aiming for dodging every attack.

This is the exact point where the series went down the shitter. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls were cool dungeon crawlers, but after this you got the prepare to die bullshit and they went with the Artorias speedy dex design over the more story based bosses. There's some semblance of DeS in ER but even that is just hack and slash lite for many bosses, something Nioh does way better so what's the point anymore? What a shame.

Yeah but what's the point of making a good game like Bloodborne if the normiefilth is going to buy horizon or Black personman 2 instead? On a financial perspective they were right to take the open world slop road.

It's because From Software fans are literally Nintentards that eat up anything they put out.

You didn't beat the game if

    1. you fought on horseback
    2. you parried, staggered, or guard countered
    3. you used a summon
    4. you used bleed or frost
    5. you farmed for runes
    6. you picked anything other than wretched and still died on the first boss before the tutorial

Honestly one of my overall complaints is the lack of enemy Varity. Hell they could've made a few of the dragons at least look different and i would've been happy.I really hope shadows has just a ton of new mooks or at least slightly different models.

The first time this happened to me in an FRC chalice dungeon I lost my shit.

Have you played a Fromsoft game before? They use reuse assets all the time. It's how they make massive games with reasonable budgets and therefore always turn a profit.
