I wouldn't really say its hard. Maybe trying to keep track of all the timed events is a bit hard but you have the bombers notebook.
Beating the dungeons in a time limit is a huge filter and dungeons can be tough if this is your first 3D traditional zelda
>Beating the dungeons in a time limit is a huge filter
If your IQ is under 80 I guess sure.
It's very easy to do one dungeon in a 3 day cycle even without the song of double time, and if you seriously struggle after using it....Lord help us all.
What puzzle is 'hard' or 'difficult' exactly?
Stone tower isn't hard it's just tedious shit.
That one part where you have to solve the riddles of the mummies and bring them stuff
BOTWgay detected
>X is a filter
>YUH, MAYBE IF YOU'RE LIKE Y LOL
That's a filter you sub80 IQ moron
Once you learn the inverted song of time any time filter disappears. Only a moron could frick it up at that point.
Combat wise no. Puzzles are
puzzles harder than botw?
>botw
>puzzles
>puzzles are hard
>aim at this
>hit this thing
>move this block
zoomer reductionism. botw is when you put shape in hole
Why are middling IQ morons always unable to understand relative difficulty? Even if something is extremely easy it can still be MORE DIFFICULT than something else. Making a boiled egg is easy, but it is MORE DIFFICULT than simply boiling water. An average person can understand this fairly easily, but the midwit who wants to brag about his intelligence, seemingly unaware that he doesn't possess a very high intellect at all, will be unable to comprehend this concept and instantly respond with
>x
>hard
if you try to argue that x is harder than y. It's like they cannot wrap their brains around something stated from a particular reference point, only in absolutes. I wonder if they have these same kinds of moronic conversations in real life too.
>it's gotten a bit colder lately
>huh it's not cold today
>yes but it's COLDER than last week
>it's not cold though
It's a bit reminiscent of 90 IQ morons who cannot grasp hypothetical situations.
Go play Ittle Dew 2 and its endgame content and get back to me.
It's unironically the best Zelda game I've played in 20 years. It's like the 2D games, but better world and puzzle design and actually challenging combat you can die to.
Um, that would actually be Tunic!
Haven't played it yet. I just know Ittle Dew scratched that Zelda itch I'd been craving and is insanely underrated because it's actually capable of easily filtering people with its difficulty despite its appearance. It really was just a straight up better 2D Zelda game in my opinion, the only thing it possibly lacked was the somewhat more grounded and serious setting in exchange for humor, but Zelda shits all over itself from game to game anyway so it's not like I can really get invested in its world to begin with.
This, but BOTW's combat is only more difficult insofar as enemies do more damage and can tank more hits. Once you figure out flurry rush + how to farm good weapons the game becomes your b***h
Yeah, this is the big issue. BotW introduces enemies at the start of the game that you are still fighting, just with bigger numbers, at the end of the fricking game.
Some of the side quests are rather obtuse but no it's not a hard game.
The puzzles and dungeon scope are both a lot more involved to put emphasis on the countdown to doomsday, but none of the enemies except for major format changes like Gyorg get particularly challenging until Majora itself.
Majoras is hard and punishing if you don't use FD. If you die you come back on the moon with 3 hearts lol and no way to heal.
Hence why I said "until Majora itself." You're good as fricked if you aren't packing double magic and plenty of arrows considering the light arrows are the only real way to get the motherfricker to stop bullshitting you when it comes to Incarnation and Wrath.
>Zelda games
>difficult
Zelda 2 literally makes troons and normalgays seethe for being hard
Fricking youtubers killed anyone's interest in zelda 2. It's not that hard besides the death mountain maze and half of that is a straight line.
>death mountain maze
Is that an overworld thing or the final palace?
Difficulty is relative.
When the N64 came out I enjoyed them but thought they were the easiest games ever made. Now am hearing some newer games cannot stomach them. To give the perspective of a veteran. In 3D Zelda games you have almost endless health. Enemies drop hearts regularly and you can heal to full several times over with potions. You don't really stand much of a chance of dying except at certain boss's or maybe one or two rooms. So the combat is easy. There is maybe 5-7 tough puzzles in a given 3D Zelda game. Stuff where you cannot figure it out by just trying random stuff for at most 60 seconds; those types of puzzles are very rare. Those are the hard ones.
Stone tower and great bay alone mog the entirety of botw and totk combined.
Reset time before you go into a dungeon. Every owl statue is surrounded by refill pots.
Haven't been able to beat it since 2005 because I'm scared of the fricking enemies.
"Difficult" in an absolute sense? Yes.
Harder than BOTW? Not really.
But I like how it derives its difficulty much more. You aren't fighting identical enemies with identical AI in the endgame.
combat will never result in a death, not even if you're clumsy. the timer wont run out if you play song of slow it down and complete a few tasks per cycle. the only thing that will trouble you are some puzzles before you 'get' them, which can happen later rather than sooner.
It's a kid's game, not hard at all to beat. Somewhat challenging to 100% because of all the moving parts on a fixed time schedule.
Play randomizer with moon crash on death.
This is how the game should've been.
can it randomize on death?
In terms of actually progressing through the game, yes.
Combat wise hard to say, it's more of a puzzle than anything, less so than OoT's combat, but still far more than BotW's. BotW and its sequel the combat is only difficult insofar as that it's totally broken and easy to break, whereas Zelda games have simply had functional but super easy combat, barring the first two games where it is an actual threat.
I never made it far in this game but I did the intro and 1st temple at least 5 times in various attempts throughout my life
Should I just finish it? The deku jungle part just bores me to tears
But recently I played Zelda The Sealed Palace and it was fricking good, beat it too. Maybe that has revitalized my love for classic Zelda
Anyways is the deku palace the only slog in this game?
I really liked the deku portion of the game and wouldn't consider it a slog at all so hard to say. I'd say the only real slog in mm is trying to 100% it due to having to rewind time often just to be in the right place and the right time for sidequests.
I beat it as a 7-9 year old kid. You can do it, Anon.
