Metal Gear Solid isn’t Deus Ex
It’s a great game that was thankfully made at a time when Kojima wasn’t an industry celebrity and was subject to more restraint.
It's great until you get to Rex and have to climb up and down a hundred times, as well as backtrack all the way up those elevators. Last bosses are cool, though.
No, they're just games that everyone agrees were not only really fricking good in every way, but also milestones in video games. I'd probably include Super Mario 64 in there as well, for popularizing full 3D, just as another example.
Much better than 2 in my opinion. The only reason why people usually prefer 2 is because of the last part of the game, otherwise it's the same shit again and again.
>liquid knew you were there the whole time and just pretended to try to kill you so you'd do the card key thing
It was until liquied took off his sunglasses.
Absolutely YES and it's not even close
Possibly maybe, it's a close one

americans can't make good anything
Kojima literally stole from Deus Ex. Cope.
and made it better, seethe
I wonder why everyone hates weebs
cap: dk4psn
they hate them and japan out of jealousy and envy
mgs1 was saved by localization (it was done by native japanese english speakers)
>mgs1 was saved by localization
>with cringe weeb writting
cute
>Jeremy Blaustein is a native japanese
It's pretty fricking good but I'm not sure I'd call it the best game ever made.
it's not even the best game in the series
it's easily the best in the series
>it's easily the best
(You)
Here, have some fish, anon!
>worst stealth game ever with cringe weeb writting, constant cutscenes(aka codec), garbage combat and reddit humor
no
negative

I was thinking of playing through it. I played the first little bit but couldn't get used to the controls. how do I shoot in first person
speaking of controls, it's fricking impossible trying to aim on keyboard in mgs3
the only mgs games I have not played were acid and portable ops
I still have no desire to play death stranding tho, it sounds atrocious
I prefer 2 but I feel both 1 and 2 stand on the same tier. 2 is a meta deconstruction of 1. They are requisite halves to each other.
It's even more interesting when you consider that Metal Gear Solid is in many ways a remake of Metal Gear 2.
OP, MGS is indeed the best game ever made, but why do you keep spamming these threads everyday?
That would be Final Fantasy 7. Metal Gear Solid 2 a close second.
Yes.
Pretty much. If someone asked me what the absolute best video games of all time are, it would include things like Tetris, Doom, and MGS1 for sure.
this is like if someone asked you what the best food of all time is and you were like "the first loaf of bread ever baked"

Kojimbo would be a nobody if not for Jeremy Blaustein

MGS3 > MGS1 > MGS2 > MGS PW
It's up there. I wouldn't disagree with someone saying it was even if it wouldn't be my first choice.
I would pick Tetris or Mario 3
